Chapter 58

Tears welled up in Scarlet's eyes.

Losing her virginity, divorce, pregnancy... Since all these things happened, she had endured them

silently and hadn't complained to anyone.

The studio was plunged in darkness.

She tried turning on her laptop, but it didn't boot up. The power was out.

Flustered, Scarlet walked toward the exit. The electronic door didn't respond when she tried to unlock

it, and it didn't budge no matter how hard she tried to push it.

"Hello? Is anyone there? I'm still in here! Please let me out!"

At ten o'clock every night, the security guards patrolled the building and turned off the power.

Scarlet always informed the guards when she stayed and worked late, but this time, she wasn't able to

because she fell asleep.

She called out for a long time, but nobody answered. Eventually, creepy echoes from the corridor

reached her ears.

Scarlet fumbled back to her desk, but she bumped into something and hit her calf, making her cry out

in pain.

Drake.

She answered immediately.

"Miss Brown, are you coming home yet? Do you need me to pick you up? It's late. It's not safe for you

to make your way home alone at this time."

At this moment, Drake was in the villa.

It was almost midnight, but Scarlet still wasn't home. Lenny had already checked his watch several

times. He was obviously getting impatient.

about her."
