We got to the house meant for me, big and beautiful as well but not like mine.

I drove in and as the maids rushed to help, I stopped them saying, “If I need your help, I shall send for you.”

“Yes, Alpha Lorde.” They replied taking their leave and wondering the identity of the girl I carried out from the car.

If she is from this pack, I bet some of them should recognise or accept she doesn’t leave her own home to mingle with others.

I placed her on my bed in my room and stop for a moment to admire her pretty face and tempting lips.

Then a knock at the door, I knew its the pack nurse, I got the door, “Good evening Alpha Lorde.”

“You are the pack nurse right?” I asked.

“Yes, Alpha.”

“Good, come in and treat her, I want her to be fine by morning,” I said to the nurse.

“I will make sure that is possible but first I need to examine her.” The nurse spoke walking close to the bed where my mate was as she dropped her things on the empty side of the bed.

I relaxed my body close to the wall with my hands fold looking at them both.

She cleaned the wounds before she took my mate hands checking the marks then the pulse, she did other things before she spoke to me, “Silver was used on her.”

My eyes got widened and I could feel the way Raja was growling as we can just kill the person that did this to her.

“Was this pack attacked?” I asked trying to figure out who would have done this to her, I know the wolf hunters have lots of silver and wolfbane, and I doubt if any wolf is using silver.

“No Alpha Lorde, we were not attacked, I feel this is the reason she fainted, I will inject her with pain relive and please make sure she gets enough rest as possible so the wounds will be able to heal.” She advised.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

“When she wakes up let her have this after eating and eat the Olf leave for a speedy recovery, if you notice any other strange sign in her body, do not hesitate to call me.”

I nodded.

“I shall take my leave now.” The nurse placed the stuff she prescribed on the small table close to the bed as she stood up carrying her things to leave the room, she bowed her head to me before she finally left.

I took off my clothes to have a shower, I spent minutes in the bathroom trying to think who would have hurt such a sweet girl that way, what did she do to deserve such treatment.

“I would say, if you find out who did this, we should kill the person at once.” Raja said still growling.”

“I can’t wait to kill the hunter even if it means breaking the rules,” I added.

I finally came out from the bathroom with a towel tied around my waist, another knock at the door, I guess the maid is here with some set of clothes since I didn’t come with any.

I opened the door,” Alpha Lorde the..” I didn’t even let the maid finish her statement when I took it from her saying, “I appreciate.” Then I shut the door.

I wore the shorts and a pure white singlet, I turned on the AC switching of the light and I was super excited that I will be sharing the same bed with her but it saddens me that I could not have a conversation with her instead I will sleep just like that.

My phone started ringing, I stood up to get it, a call from Simon.

“Hello.”

“Alpha it’s late already and you are not yet back, is everything okay with you?” I know he will be more worried since he is clueless about what is going on.

“I won’t be returning home tonight okay? I have something very urgent to attend to and I am sleeping at the Blue Moon Pack.”

“Oh I see, at least the Blue Moon Pack are good at hosting, I hope they sent you some human ladies to calm yourself with.” He said.

“Just shut up and end the call,” I added.

“Yes Alpha Lorde, will call you in the morning to check on you.”

“Why must you call me to do that? Are we destined mates?”

“What if we became mates?”

“I will make sure you die by my claws.” We started laughing.

“Sleep well Alpha.”

“You too Beta,” I said ending the phone call.

Simon has been my best friend ever since childhood and he knows me well more than my cousin Andre, talk of the devil, I haven’t heard from him, maybe he disappeared again to a place none of us will have an idea about, he does that all the time and when I questioned him, he says he is out searching for an answer to something personal, dramatic isn’t it?”

I am glad to have Simon as my beta anyway, my mate turned on the bed facing me, I was happy thinking she is awake but damn, she is still fast asleep.

I used my hands to flip her hair, what an epitome of beauty, the moon goddess made no mistake at all.

“Lorde, can you sleep now?” Raja asked.

“Looking at her alone is like my sleep for the night.”

“Even at that, you also need rest, tomorrow is a brand new day,” Raja added.

“I will sleep after an hour, I need to look at my mate that long, you can sleep remember we have a run tomorrow evening,” I said.

“How can I forget about that, I do not want you to lose any match as the alpha,” Raja said going to sleep.

I don’t know much about her already but I can say, my heart is aching for her alone, this is weird.

I woke up very early and discovered she is still fast asleep, I kissed her forehead before going to the bathroom to wash my mouth also to have a cool bath.

I wore a simple outfit coming outside the room and a maid was already approaching my door then she said, “Good Morning Alpha Lorde, I didn’t wish to wake you up but I am glad you are up already, breakfast is served already at the dinning.”

“Good, bring the breakfast to my room,” I added turning back to my room.

In minutes the meal was served in my room, then I sat down facing my mate, knowing she will be up soon.

Finally, she did, I said, “Good morning sunshine.”
