Chapter 65: How Did You Survive

"These, are all his gifts..."

Echo was so surprised that she even forgot to say anything. She could not believe that. Belle continued telling. That pain went into her bonds. Her heart was like being stabbed by a sharp knife. All feelings conbined together.

Echo could tell that this woman who enduring tears and pain loved Ethan a lot. But Echo also knew the wounds on her body. All those wounds and scars left in years on her face, her hoarse voice and her lame leg and....

Suddenly a thunder crossed Echo's mind. She remembered that night when she went to change clothes for Belle. Belle slept very deep that night. When Echo changed the clothes for Belle, coincidentally, she touched the back of Belle's waist. She was frightened and took her hand back instantly. She'd like to check again but she did not get the chance.

Echo remembered that again.

"You..." Something came to Echo's mind and she was at a loss of word. Even her tone changed,"Turn around and let me see." While she was saying, she did not wait for Belle's reaction but crossed to the back of Belle then reached out her hand to touch Belle's back waist.

Belle's face became pale instantly. She wanted to escape but it was already too late.

Echo felt that she was hit by a thunder when she touch the back of Belle's waist.

Her eyes opened widely and she could not believe what she found. Then she moved her sight on sunken back waist of Belle. Her hands were trembling and even her breath.

"What...What did you do to your kidney?"

Belle's hollow eyes were full of blood streaks. She could only show a loath smile after she heard that. She calmed down again very quickly from nervous but trembling dry lips betrayed her.

"Belle, say something. What else except kidney? Took off your clothes!" Echo's face was pale and she could feel an abuzz sound in her brain. She could not keep calm anymore. Since Belle did not give any reaction, Echo made her mind and tried to take off Belle clothes to check.

Belle took a few steps back immediately. Her face with morbidity was as pale as a piece of paper. Although she had accept that herself, when her scandal was exposed to others, her body was still out of control and trembled.

How could she feel nothing about that?

"Echo, about this, please don't tell anyone else, anyone." Belle collected herself and took a deep breath,"I had lost my kidney long time ago but I'm fine. No life danger."

Echo looked at Belle and she had never been that pain in her heart. She endured the pain in her heart and asked,"What else except kidney?"

"..."

"I'm going to tell Mr. Mo right now if you don't talk."

"No!" Panic showed on Belle's face when she heard the name,"Echo, I'm begging you..."

"Talk then." Echo was not mean to threat Belle. She just want to know what else this obstinate girl hiding.

No life danger?

She could say that breezily. Echo found why Belle was always inanimate. A body could not work well if any part of it was lost. But Belle, how could she say that so breezily. It seemed that she had never cared about that.

Belle dabbled her lips by her tongue. After a short while of hesitating, she said,"Except kidney, there were also... liver and lung. These are all transplantable... I can still live with half of them and there is no life danger for now."

In this moment, Echo's eyes on Belle was like look at a psychopath.

A completely psychopath!

How could she say those words with such a flat tone and such a calm face?

Perhaps, it was became that she kept hopes before, even though it was a hard life.

But now, Ryan was gone and Belle's time became a meaningless despairing gray.

She smiled and forced her tears back by raising up her head. Then she said gently,"Echo, in fact, it's very easy to keep alive. Just think nothing and find a hope, seriously."

"Echo, may I ask you to do me three favors?"

"What do you want?" Echo's eyes were still red. The expression in her eyes showed that she felt unfortunate for Belle.

"First, please do not tell anyone else what happened today. Keep this a secret between we two."

Echo stayed in silent. She knew how to keep a secret but how long could Belle live like this? If these pains were given by Ethan, no one else would know Belle's pains forever, wouldn't it?

"Second, I'd like you to see if there is anything I can do. I need money now." Belle did not hide her purpose,"Echo, I need money very much."

"What else?"

Echo took a deep breath. She felt distress in her chest. Such a stupid woman. The thing she needed was not money at all. The thing she needed was untouchable freedom.

Belle smiled mildly,"Third, could you help me to investigate in the city to find a handicapped orphan. About five or six years old. About appearance... It doesn't matter. Could you tell me if you found anyone

who match those?"

Echo was surprised. She looked at Belle blankly.

"A orphan?" She asked back,"Why you want to find the orphan?"

"Echo, you asked how I make my life didn't you?" Belle walked close to her and held her trembling hands then said seriously,"He is the reason why I'm still alive. Echo, I don't know how much time I left but I promise, I will not give up if there is still a little hope."

Death was a heavy word for others but for Belle, it was just a common word.

Echo's mind was a mess. All the feeling combined together in her heart.

"How much time you left?"

"Who knows? As long as I could. Echo, it's already not easy for me to live till now." Belle said calmly. Finally, a rueful expression showed on her face,"I still got things to finish. I can't die."
