Chapter 45 Asked for Leave

Levi Song thought that she was determined to stay in the underground city club for the sake of Ethan Mo.

“Okay, but can I borrow your phone? I need to ask for leave.” she didn’t want to go back to the club with fresh wounds on her body. Her face too was bruised.

Levi Song took his phone and handed it to her. The phone’s casing was pure black in color and the design was smooth. It was the most popular business phone nowadays.

He didn’t stay to eavesdrop. So, he quietly went out to give her some space.

She dialed Echo Xu’s number. After the call was connected, she heard an outburst, “Belle, where the hell have you been? Do you know that we’ve been looking for you everywhere? If you’re okay, come back quickly. If you don’t come back, I’m afraid something bad will happen to you.”

She hadn’t say a word, but Echo Xu snapped already.

“Sister Xu, are you looking for me?”

“Cut the crap! What are you thinking? I told you before, I will arrange your work, other than that, you are not allowed to take a job outside. Who ask you to come with Lewis Qiu? where are you now? Come back in ten minutes!”

“Sister Xu, two days. I will go back after two days.” She was writhing with pain. What could she do if she came back now? She was still injured. If those men humiliated her again, she would really die this time.

Echo Xu was furious. She stared at her phone while cursing at Belle Ye, “Barry, you see, she doesn’t want to come back. I already ask her to come back.”

His eyes were cold, “If she doesn’t come back, you can leave the underground city club.”

Echo Xu was scared. She tried to explain, “What can I do? If she doesn’t come back, how am I supposed to keep my eyes on her? Even if I can, I don’t know where is now. You sent someone to Lewis Qiu’s villa, but you couldn’t find her there. Lewis Qiu passed out of alcohol. You could ask anyone about her whereabouts. Now, she’s taking two days off. Should I go to the police to file a missing person?”

“Well, you can explain this to boss.”

Echo Xu reached his arm. Her charming face was troubled, “Barry, you should help me, President Mo —”

Barry Mo pulled his arms away from her, ‘You wish.”

“She just called Echo Xu saying that she wanted to take time off. She should be fine.” Barry Mo reported according to the facts.

“President Mo, good afternoon—” the secretary stood trembling at the door. The secretary didn’t know whether he should inform him about the upcoming meeting or not.

“Get out!”

“Yes, Sir. I will get out right away.” the secretary was so scared. He was about to leave when Ethan Mo stopped him, “President Mo, what is it?”

“Book a ticket home right away! I need it right away!” he ordered coldly.

The secretary was shocked. He already arranged today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow’s schedule. He lost his time to rest because of that. What happened with boss? Why did he suddenly want to return home?

“President Mo, there is no ticket for this afternoon.”
