Chapter 33 The vague attitude

The kiss lasted for a long time.

Her heart tingled and then she gradually gave up her resistance.

Once upon a time, this scene was all her desires and delusions. Ethan put his hands in his trouser pockets and walked toward the door. Echo immediately pointed to the doctor next to him. “Belle has a high fever right now, I went to find the doctor and I’ve already arranged her sick leave in the past two days.”

He remembered that he had accidentally touched her forehead which caused a burning pain in his palm. He resisted the feeling to look back at her when thought about her fever and then just nodded to Echo, he walked out of the ward and his steps were natural and unrestrained just as he had a walk in the garden.

All the people in the ward were relieved as soon as he left. Echo patted her own chest and she became more and more confused about the head boss’s thoughts. She walked to Belle with the complicated eyes, “Let the doctor see how it is and I’ve already arranged your break, you need to take a rest and take care of yourself since now, we will talk after you feel better.”

Belle tried to brace herself to stand up, “It’s fine, I’m alright, I will be fine after taking asleep for a day. Mrs. Xu, I’m really not that sick.”

“No!” Echo didn’t dare to let her go, she held her shoulders to stop her standing up and then turning back to the doctor wearing a white mask behind her said: “Doctor, you should first take her temperature and heal her if she’s sick.” Belle has nothing to say when heard Echo’s words and the Echo forced Belle to lie down, she was soon surrounded by nurses and doctors.

“Belle passed out because of the high fever and the doctor needs to give her an infusion, she needs rest now and I will buy her a nutritious lunch first.” Echo thought for a while and hesitated whether she would tell him what the doctor just said.

“She’s so precious. She fell ill before making any money.” He sneered and started to think of how sick she is and the look of her in the bed, she has completely lost the bright and charming beauty that could surprise the whole Gang city during the old times, the agitated feeling came up in his heart and his opponent is a sick person.

If Belle still was like the same as the old days who was arrogant and spoiled, he has a dozen way to deal with her and that will make her life worse than died, he could make her fall from the high position… but, he became helpless when facing a weak woman who already had no resistance.
