As we entered into the house, Nichole was standing there pacing the room looking all worried. She turned just in time when the door jammed and clicked and she looked at us.

“Where have you been” she said in obvious worry rushing to Noah. She looked at him up and down frantically.

“I’m fine,” he said trying to brush it off. It was nothing just couples spending time together. A night actually and the way he held me throughout the night. Maybe it was a little big deal.

“You haven’t been picking up your calls, I was so worried that something bad had happened to you,” she said her hands now creepily touching him. I frowned at her but I still stayed quiet.

“I’m fine, we just slept out,” he said and I could feel myself blushing. Her eyebrows rose quickly like a flash of light. “We were out and now we are back,” he said with a smile.

“O” was all she could manage herself to say to him. He looked at her unsure of what she was implying although I already knew what she was implying.

“I’m gonna go get ready, I have a doctor’s appointment,” I say and finally Nichole’s eyes fall on me.

“I will take you there” Noah offered with a smile thrown in my direction.

“I will have Ben drop me. I know you have work and all” I say dismissing the thought. I wanted to spend time with him but I didn’t want him to get the impression that I already liked him.

“I will drop you off it’s no big deal” he retorted at me when I made a move to go.

“I can handle it,” I say and he frowns.

“And you have a meeting in the next hour,” Nichole said and Noah finally tore his gaze from me to look at her.

“With?” he questioned slightly irritated.

“The board members. You said to prepare a meeting with them” she answered and his growth increased.

“Okay you go get ready and I will drop you along the way and have Ben drop you home,” he said still insisting.

“If you insist,” I said trying to play it off. “I’m going,” I said before going to stand at the other side of the door. Nichole will have a reason why what he had done is a wrong idea. Yeah, I know what you think. Such a bother.

“I was worried sick last night” her voice rang in the air.

“I was fine. In good hands actually” he replied and the heat rose to my cheeks. “It’s just that we don’t have time to get together as a couple so I decide to do this for her,” he says and my insides flip over and over again.

“Just please next time don’t have me so worried,” she said. “I thought you didn’t like her and you loved me,” she said and now anger ran through my veins. How dare she?

“How is Jaden?” Noah asked and I heard a sharp intake of breath from her.

“I don’t know, we broke up,” she said.

“Why?” Noah asked her and I won’t see her but in my mind, I felt she was making a seductive movement.

“Because I discovered that I’m still in love with you,” Nichole said.

“I better go get ready for the meeting,” Noah said and then I ran to the room and entered the bathroom.

When I had stripped off my clothes I heard Noah come in.

“Sweets aren’t you done bathing?” he asked banging his fist on the door.

“I’m almost done” I yelled over the running water. I took a quick shower and then I discovered that the bathrobe wasn’t there and I had run in without a towel.

“Noah” I call when I switch the tap off.

“Yeah,” he shouted back.

“Can I get a towel?” I told him feeling shy already.

“A towel?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said. “I need something to cover up,” I say timidly.

“Why didn’t you take anything in with you?” he questioned footsteps coming closer to the door. He knocked and I was grateful. I opened the door slightly and stuck my hand out.

His hand held mine firmly. “There is nothing to be shy of I have seen it all” he whispered.

“Noah” I whispered yelled and he laughed.

“Here,” he said giving me the towel. I collected it and closed the door. I tied it on myself and got out. He was standing there with only boxers hanging dangerously low on his waist. I avoided his eyes, he laughed lowly and entered the bathroom. I went into the closet to pick out what to wear. I do normal makeup with powder and normal lipstick.

Noah came out and entered the closet to pick up his suit and a shirt he got dressed and we were ready to go.

When he dropped me off at the hospital and sped off to his meeting. After my appointment, I got back home. I see Jaden standing outside. I walk up to him and he smiles at me.

“Hello?” I say in question form and he takes a step closer to me. I see Ben from my peripheral vision stepping forward. I signal him silently to stop.

“Can I talk to you?” he asked. “Inside” he added after a while.

“Come in,” I say and lead inside. He sat down and I asked Pat to bring some coffee for him.

“I’m sorry to take up your time,” he said when Pat put down the tray.

“It’s okay,” I say. “I’m bored anyway” I murmur under my breath.

“Does Nichole live here?” he asked and I sucked a deep breath nodding. “She still loves him” he murmured.

“What do you mean?” I asked him.

“She just broke up with me,” he said.

“Why are you telling me this?” I ask him.

“She wants to break you guys up so that so can come back to Noah,” he said stating the obvious that I already knew.

“I’m serious, ” he said as if annoyed that I didn’t take him seriously.

“I know, ” I say again and he frowns
