Chapter 54 A Big Drunken Mistake

Chapter 54 A Big Drunken Mistake

When Phillip left, Baron just realized that Terry, Tracy's dad, didn't even turn up. He guessed that Terry

and Sherry had their problem.

Tracy worried that her mom would give Baron trouble. “Baron, you take Lara upstairs,” Tracy said.

Baron nodded. He picked Lara and put her on his shoulder. Lara enjoyed sitting on her dad’s

shoulders. She shouted with delight, “Hup! Hup! Come on! Dad!”

Tracy stared after them. This heartwarming scene brought up a lot of her memories. When she was

young, her dad loved her so much, just like Baron loved Lara. But that all changed now!

“Mom, you let Baron stay here. What if you change your mind?” Tracy said.

Sherry was busy opening the gifts Phillip brought to her. She replied without looking up, “What kind of

person do you think I am? I never take back my words!”

Suddenly Sherry screamed, “Oh my God! These are very expensive actually.”

Seeing that, Tracy shook her head. She could do nothing with her greedy mom.

Yuri was very happy for her mother’s decision. “Tracy, Congratulations! You three finally live together.”

“I warn you, Tracy! He can’t share a room with you!” Sherry interrupted, “I have cleaned out the

storeroom. That's where he will live.”

“Mom, don't be so unkind! Let them live together. Maybe they will have your grandkids soon.” Yuri tried

to convince her mother.

Tracy heard the words and blushed like a rose with shame.

These words made Sherry even more angry. She rose to her feet, pointing at Tracy, said, “if you have

sex with him again, you're no daughter of mine!”

Sherry spoke so harshly that Tracy was embarrassed into silence.

Just then, they heard a loud knocking at the door, which caused a panic among them.

“Mom, I'll get it.” Tracy said and walked away.

Tracy opened the door and found that was none other than Terry. She immediately smelt alcohol on his

breath.

Terry staggered to the house, with a wine bottle in his hand. Tracy rushed to support him.

Seeing how drunk Terry was, Sherry burst into tears. “You stupid jerk! Why do you get that drunk every

day? I can’t take it anymore!” She shouted.

“Mom, Dad is pretty drunk. He needs a good rest first. We’d better criticize him tomorrow,” said Yuri

soothingly.

“Dad, wash your face and go to sleep.” Tracy said and took away the bottle from Terry’s hand.

“Give me that! Give it to me!” Terry said with rising excitement and tried to take the bottle back.

“Yuri, help me!” Tracy couldn't handle him alone. So, she asked Yuri for help.

They had a hard time dealing with Terry. He was so drunk that he was still yelling.

Terry’s voice floated up to Lara. She threw herself into her father’s arms, looking extremely frightened.

“Sweetheart, don't be afraid. Dad's here.” Baron said softly and held the warm little body tightly in his

arms.

“Dad, you won’t get drunk every day, like Grandpa, will you?” Lara raised her head to look at her dad,

keeping a worried eye on him.

Baron shook his head and said, “Of course I won’t. I promise you.”

Lara was so relieved to hear this.

“Lara, do you want to live in a big house?” Baron changed the subject.

“A big house? Is it bigger than Perry Courtyard?” Her big eyes blinked with astonishment.

Baron nodded, “Yes, it’s far bigger. You will have your own room, in which there are a lot of toys and

anything you want.”

Lara was so excited at these words. However, it seemed something came to her mind, and she shook

her head.

“You don't like a big house?” Asked Baron, puzzled.

“No, I like a big house and toys. But it costs a lot of money. Mom is very tired to earn money.”

Baro felt so guilty at the words. Lara was a particularly sensible girl.

“Lara, don’t worry! I can do that!” It seemed he was making a pledge.

Just then, a scream reached from below.

“You’re a jerk! How dare you hit me!” It was Sherry’s voice.

Lara was frightened again and embraced her father fiercely, “Dad, I'm scared.” Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Sweetheart. Dad's here.” Baron held her gently.

Listening to the noise downstairs, Baron resisted the urge to take his beloved daughter away because

it would break Tracy’s heart.

“Baron, we need your help!” Yuri burst into the room.

“OK. Please take care of Lara.” Baron said and went out of the room.

“You’re son of bitch! Don’t nag me! I’ve had enough of your garbage. Get the hell out of here! I should

have divorced you earlier,” Terry roared, with huge red eyes.

“Terry, you’re crazy! Who do you think you are? I was blind to marry you! I wish I had never met you.”

Sherry argued back.

“Please! No more fighting. All this noise is bad for my daughter,” Tracy begged.

“You’re son of bitch too! We were kicked out of the Perry family! Our company was taken away! All

these are because you married a jerk!” Terry shouted, taking aim at Tracy.

Terry was shocked at the words and burst into tears. “Dad, how can you say that? I am your daughter.”

“Shut up!” Terry roared and lifted his hand to hit Tracy.

As the stinging slap almost caught her face, Baron showed up. He rushed over and stood in front of

her.

In an instant, he seized Terry’s wrist. “You shouldn't hurt her even you are drunk!” Baron said coldly.
