The morning light crawled through the drapes, projecting a warm sparkle over the room.

Amelia mixed, her body hurting from the inner disturbance of the prior night. As she flickered away the remainders of rest, she became mindful of Philip’s consistent presence adjacent to her, his arm hung defensively across her midriff.
