I’m Someone Else

Chapter 145

Chapter 145

He’s loyal to his friend. This is someone I should befriend. Quincy had nothing but respect for Thomas. No matter what anyone thought of him, he would always have Thomas’ back.

Sean, William, and Zoe came a while later. Zoe was the only family Dominic had left, and she deserved to know the news. Thomas wiped the tears off his cheek and laid out the heads of Minacia Oito in front of his friend’s grave. “I promised I’d cut their heads off, and I did. I have avenged you. Rest in peace.”

“That’s… Minacia Oito. All eight of them!”

Zoe, Sean, and William stared at the heads in disbelief, unable to even form a coherent sentence. They couldn’t believe that even Tigre died. The nightmare that had terrorized this city for so long was finally dead. No longer would the people have to live in terror.

Thomas whipped out his lighter and lit up a cigarette, then he placed it before Dominic’s grave. “Here. It’s your favorite. I bought it for you.” He lit up a cigarette himself and started smoking.

Zoe snapped out of her shock and came up to Thomas. She then took the lighter and burned some tribute for her brother. Everyone fell silent as they watched the tribute slowly turn into ash and the flames fizzle and die out. Thomas asked William to get a shovel, then he dug out a hole before Dominic’s grave and buried the heads of the criminals within, damning them to atone for their sins before the man they killed.

He turned around and left the cemetery.

“Thank you, Thomas,” said Zoe sincerely.

Thomas stopped and looked at Zoe as she bowed before him. “If it weren’t for you, my brother would never have been avenged.”

He nodded. “Dominic’s my friend too. Avenging him is my duty. You don’t have to thank me.” He paused for a moment. “And from now on, you’re my sister.” I’m going to keep her safe. She’s the only family Dominic has left.

His friend’s family was his family, and he would protect her like how he had protected Chloe. Rest in peace, my friend.

Quincy left, seeing as there was no need for him to be around anymore. Sean and William took Zoe home since she was overwhelmed. The girl needed some time to calm down and get over the trauma that Minacia Oito had inflicted on her.

Thomas went back to Northpine. Olivia had gone to work, so he went to the bathroom and took a shower. Even though Thomas had avenged his friend, he did not feel happy. Dominic was a good friend of his, but he was dead. No one could be happy about that.

After he brewed some meds, he went to Keyshire Property. When he arrived at the office, Olivia stood up, excited to see him. “Thomas. A-Are you alright?”

He did tell her he had something urgent to settle but he had been out for the whole night, so Olivia couldn’t even sleep a wink. She was worried, and at one point, she tried to call him, but she stopped herself in case she disturbed him. It wasn’t until three did she slowly drift to sleep.

“I’m alright.” Thomas handed her the thermos. “Drink this.”

“Right away,” said Olivia. She sat on the couch and stole glances at Thomas while she finished her medicine. As long as Thomas was with her, she would do anything for him, even if it meant sacrificing her life.

Unlike the delighted Olivia, Molly looked a little dejected as her head hung low. He’s so nice to her. Perhaps they’re the perfect match. Compared to Miss Pearson, I’m nothing. Look at them. They’re a

match made in heaven. I’m just a commoner with nothing but looks.

She didn’t like that Thomas and Olivia were so close, but there was nothing she could do about it.

Tears fell from her cheeks, drenching the files. Fortunately, she was looking down, so her hair kept her face out of sight and prevented anyone from seeing her cry. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Rafael looked at the grinning Olivia and shook his head. She was spacing out the entire time he wasn’t here. It’s not like her usual self. Now that he’s back, she won’t stop staring at him. Even an idiot can see that she likes Mr. Clifford. Well, heroes are beloved by all, I always say, and Mr. Clifford is a hero among heroes.

It was eight at night. Molly and Rafael had clocked out hours ago, leaving Olivia and Thomas alone. Olivia was dealing with some files, while Thomas was scrolling through his phone. Thomas stood up and approached Olivia. “Let’s go home. You can finish this tomorrow.”

“Sure.” Olivia nodded. She picked up her bag and followed Thomas out of the office. “Ophelie moved out, Thomas. She’s staying with Grandpa. Well, our maternal grandpa.” Olivia only noticed that when she came back home the night before. She called Ophelie and asked her to return, but the girl refused. However, Ophelie told her to try her best to make Thomas hers. What did she mean by that? What did she mean by ‘an opening’? I don’t get it.

“That’s her choice.” It was obvious that Harrison’s family was different from the Pearsons. They loved Olivia and Ophelie, and the Denvers were famous in this city. Ophelie wouldn’t run into any danger if she stayed with the Denvers.

“Do you have time tomorrow, Thomas? It’s been a while since I went shopping.” The season was about to change, and she had to buy some new clothes. Her old clothes were either in the condominium or

the Pearson Residence. Since she refused to go back just to take her clothes, she had to buy new ones.

Thomas smiled at her. He would never refuse her suggestion, and he said, “I’ll go with you.”
