Chapter 184 Because I Love Him (Part Two)

However, Jackson looked very calm, as if nothing had even happened. He picked up his tea cup from

the table, took a sip out of it, and then put it back. He then looked Cherry, and said, "What do you think

you will do when Wilson won't have the necessary means anymore to keep you in that big house?"

Cherry glared at Jackson with her eyes filled with burning rage. He was actually capable of doing

anything to get what he wanted.

"What do you want?" asked Cherry.

"Come back with our son! I've let you roam free for so many years, but don't forget the road to your

own home, " said Jackson seriously. He fiercely gazed at Cherry, and was determined at all costs to

make her surrender to him.

"I told you that I would come back one day, but not now; I need to handle something first, but after that

I'll come back to you, " said Cherry stubbornly.

"What? Tell it to me and I'll handle it for you, " said Jackson. He looked at her, dead serious, and he

couldn't understand what was wrong with her, or what she was thinking about.

How could Cherry speak her mind to Jackson? She couldn't let him know her thoughts.

"No, I can do it by myself, " said Cherry. She then turned her head sideways, avoiding to look at

Jackson anymore.

Then, Jackson suddenly stood up from his seat and took a few steps towards Cherry. He stared at her

from up close, and asked, "Really now? Then I'll just wait and see how long Wilson can hold on. You

know that the bank only gave him three days."

"You!" Cherry looked into Jackson's eyes, speechless with fury. She couldn't believe how much of an

asshole he was by threatening her like that!

Jackson instantly pinched Cherry's chin. He looked at her, and sneered, "Cherry, I can indulge you, but

you have to listen to my words first. I won't let you go against my will, even though you're my wife."

Jackson then ruthlessly released Cherry and left.

Cherry lost her balance for a moment and took a few steps backwards. As she looked at Jackson, who

was slowly walking away, a complex feeling arose in her heart.

Walking out of the villa, Jackson also kept scolding himself in his heart. Why did he have do that to his

woman? She was his wife and he had to protect her, but...

Cherry then went back home and sat on a chair in the balcony. She was worried, and she pondered if

she should take Joe and go back to Jackson or not. She was afraid that if she did that then her son

would be hurt. Sally would never let her go if she knew that she had come back to him, and she was

also capable of doing something bad to Joe. Furthermore, she had her own thoughts in her heart; she

wasn't familiar with the people around Jackson, and all of them seemed to her to have secrets buried

deep inside them. Cherry believed that Bobby wasn't a simple man at all, and that he had a dark past

hidden behind his polite smile.

Suddenly, she remembered what Stephen had told to her, that John who was the only one who could

be trustworthy among all of them. All the others made her feel like she was always in some sort of

impeding danger.

Cherry sat in the balcony for the whole afternoon. She was lost deep in her thoughts, and it wasn't until

the sun set down that she picked up her phone and called Jackson.

"Hello, " answered Jackson in a peaceful tone.

"I promise you that I'll come back with our son if you leave my brother's company out of this, " said

Cherry.

On the other side of the line, a satisfied smile curved Jackson's lips. He then said, "Come tomorrow

with our son, but come at the house you were today, not at the apartment. That's the new Chu

residence, our new home."

After she heard him, Cherry didn't utter another single word and just hung up the phone.

Jacob and Wilson returned at home in the evening, and they seemed to be less worried than they had

been in the morning. Joe was watching cartoons at that time, just as he usually did.

It pained Wilson's heart when he looked at Cherry helping Elsa cook their dinner. She should had

promised Jackson to go back to the Chu Family, or otherwise Jackson would have never left them off

the hook.

After dinner, Jacob and Elsa then went upstairs to rest, while Joe went to his room to do his homework.

There were only Cherry and Wilson left in the living room.

Sitting beside Cherry, Wilson suddenly turned down the TV's volume. He then stared at her, and asked,

"You've promised him that you'd go back, right?"

Cherry didn't look at Wilson's face; instead, she looked sideways, and said, "Yes, I have, but I was

already planning on doing that before."

"Cherry, " said Wilson, but he was quickly stopped by his sister before he had the chance to speak his

mind.

Cherry suddenly focused all of her attention onto Wilson, and carefully said, "Brother, I don't want to

trouble you anymore with my problems; I owe you too much already. If your company would have

closed because of me, I would have never forgiven myself for that."

Cherry paused for a second, and then continued, "Even if this hadn't happened, I would still have This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

eventually gone back to the Chu Family. I married Jackson five years ago, and I never had the thought

of leaving him, but something happened and I ran away selfishly. I've now decided to come back to

him, because I want to provide Joe with a complete family and I also want to let him feel his father's

love. I want to stay with Jackson, because I love him."
