I Want A Lifetime With You Chapter 591

Chapter 591 Fu Min Kidnapped Shen Qianan

Shen Qianan keyed in her godfather’s address into the GPS. Realizing the destination was somewhere in the city center, she departed immediately. Shortly after, Shen Qianan got out, unbuckled Yu’s seatbelt, and lifted the boy out of the car. “Let’s go, Yu. We’re off to see Grandpa.”

“Grandpa? Is Grandpa back?” Yu clearly knew who Shen Qianan was referring to, and the latter nodded in response. “Yes, the Grandpa who gives you candies.”

Shen Qianan took Yu to the mall to get a gift before heading to the given address. She glanced up at the towering condominium building and checked in with the guard. Someone answered the door promptly when she pressed the doorbell. “Is An here?”

“Yes, Godfather.” Shen Qianan flashed a smile at him. “It’s been a while, Godfather. How are you doing?” This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m great. Quick, come in and have a seat.” The older man invited her in. His eyes studied her before he nodded and shifted his gaze to Yu. “Yu grew taller and has put on some weight now. Not bad!”

“Grandpa!” Yu was too shy to approach the older man, so he shook his hand instead. “Did you miss me, Grandpa?”

“Of course I did. Why wouldn’t I? Come and give me a hug!” The older man hefted Yu up and went into the living room. Shen Qianan followed them and noticed there was another person inside. The person turned around and smiled at her. “How are you, Ms. Shen?”

“You!” Shen Qianan’s face fell, and she froze on her spot.

Her incredulous gaze bounced between the man and her godfather. “Give me back my son!”

“Mr. Fu, Ms. Shen has parked her car and went shopping at a nearby mall.” Zhou Zheng stared at the tracker on the computer screen, noting that Shen Qianan’s car had stopped before resuming its journey. “After that, she drove to… Is that Nubarron Villa?”

“What about now?”

“Ms. Shen appears to be headed to Luceras, bound for Sheen City.” Zhou Zheng stared at the tracking dot on the map in disbelief.

His words caused Fu Chengyan to go on high alert and frown. “Email me a screenshot of the map.”

Zhou Zheng immediately did as told, and Fu Chengyan stared unblinking at his computer screen, his frown deepening.

“Is Ms. Shen okay, Mr. Fu? Why is she being led to Sheen City?”

“No, they’re not going to Sheen City.” Fu Chengyan closed the screenshot with a solemn expression. He raised his gaze to Zhou Zheng a moment later. “Ask Zhou Zhi where is he now.”

Zhou Zheng promptly got on the phone. “Mr. Fu, Zhou Zhi said Ms. Shen went to Nubarron Villa and hasn’t returned yet.”

Fu Chengyan’s brows drew closer together as he tapped his long fingers on the table. “Send a couple of men to Sheen City to stop the car, then tell Jiang Hu to get to Nubarron Villa.”

His cold gaze returned to the screen again. “And keep this from Mrs. Fu.”

“Got it.” There was a film of sweat on Zhou Zheng’s forehead, and he was still in disbelief that a person could escape from under their noses.

“Look into all the people Shen Qianan has had contact with over the years outside the country and figure out where the hell this godfather came from!” That man’s appearance was too strangely coincidental. “Also, find out what Fu Sijue has been up to.”

“Our men have been closely monitoring Fu Sijue’s movement, and he has been holed up in the island villa. No one has seen him, and he hasn’t done anything suspicious. Mr. Fu, do you think he’s behind all of this?”

If Fu Sijue were behind this, he could not have still been on the island.

“Tell your men to check the island.” Who else could it be if not Fu Sijue? Fu Chengyan could not think of anyone who would wish to harm Shen Qianan.

Fu Chengyan fished out his phone to call Yun Shen as soon as Zhou Zheng left to carry out his orders. “How’s Yun Group doing?”

“Everything’s going well at the moment without a hitch. Why do you ask?” Yun Shen was puzzled at his unexpected phone call.

Fu Chengyan was quiet for a moment. “Someone has likely abducted Shen Qianan.”

“What?” Yun Shen narrowed his eyes. “By Jing? That’s impossible. He has no reason to kidnap Shen Qianan. She’s of no use to him!”

“Mr. Fu!” Zhou Zheng hurried into the room without knocking. “Fu Sijue has resurfaced, according to our men. He’s driving like a maniac to an unknown location.”

“Follow him!” Fu Chengyan shot to his feet and locked in on Fu Sijue’s location on his computer. “Come with me, Zhou Zheng. Tell Zhou Zhi to find Shen Qianan.”

He realized Yun Shen still had not hung up. “I may need your help, Master Yun.”

“Ask away.” Yun Shen arched a brow.

“Could you email me all the information on all members of the Yun family as soon as possible, omitting Fu Sijue?” Fu Chengyan could not shake the notion that he had missed something when Shen Qianan’s godfather abruptly appeared in the picture. Was his arrival purely coincidental? Who else could she have been taken by if it wasn’t Fu Sijue? What is the person’s motive for taking her?

Meanwhile, Fu Sijue received an encrypted document via his email that only a few internal staff members knew. Somehow, someone else was also aware of his private email address and sent him this document.

Fu Sijue opened the email to find only a video of the missing Shen Qianan and her son, Yu.

It was clear from the video that both of them had been held hostage. Though they were not tied up, one could deduce what was happening by judging the expression on Shen Qianan’s face.

Fu Sijue’s hands tightened into fists after watching the video. After a pause, he swiftly tracked down the IP address from which the video was sent.

The sender seemed to have expected his actions and did not hide the IP address in the first place.

Fu Sijue rushed to the spot as soon as he located the address, only to find out that the target had moved. Both of them played a game of cat and mouse for a long time before Fu Sijue triangulated Shen Qianan’s whereabouts in the eastern district of Jiang City.

He got out of the car and frowned. There were no signs of life except for the overgrown foliage.

Soon, his phone dinged with an incoming video of Shen Qianan and Yu on a riverbank. She was plunged forcibly into the water while Yu was tied up and suspended from a tree.

A frown marred his forehead, and he received a phone call shortly after. “Who are you? What do you want?”

“I take it you found the place? You must look for me if you want to know who I am. I’m waiting.” The person on the other end of the line hung up immediately. Fu Sijue initially intended to geolocate him, but the duration of the call was too brief, and the phone he had right now was not technologically advanced enough to track the caller’s location. He had no means of pinning down where Shen Qianan was.

“Who’s there?” His head jerked up when he noticed a few silhouettes a short distance away. “Come out!”

Jiang Hu came into view with a few other people. “You’re quite alert, Mr. Fu.”

Jiang Hu and his men had been tailing Fu Sijue for a while, trying to figure out what he was up to. They were not sure if he was the one kidnapping Shen Qianan, after all. However, Fu Chengyan had determined a few minutes ago that Fu Sijue was not the kidnapper. Hence, Jiang Hu decided to let their presence be known.

“Are you Fu Chengyan’s men?” Fu Sijue recognized Jiang Hu as Fu Chengyan’s right-hand man and general.

“I’m Jiang Hu.” The man introduced himself. “Are you looking for Ms. Shen, too?”

“It wasn’t your doing?”

“Are you kidding me, Mr. Fu? She’s Mrs. Fu’s sister. We’d never do that to them.” With that, Jiang Hu produced his phone and handed it to Fu Sijue. “Mr. Fu, do you recognize the individual in this photograph?”

Fu Sijue’s gaze fell on the phone, and his eyes widened in shock at the photograph. “Him?” That’s not possible. He should be dead.

“It seems like you do.”

Fu Sijue’s lips pursed in a thin line. “He’s my father, but he passed away a few years ago. Why do you have a photograph of him?”

“He’s dead? Are you sure?”

Upon hearing Jiang Hu’s words, Fu Sijue’s expression shifted dramatically. His brows furrowed as he suppressed the turbulent storm of emotions surging in his heart.

The man in the photograph was Yun Min, also known as Fu Min, his biological father. Didn’t he pass away a few years ago? But Jiang Hu’s words seem to imply that he’s still alive. That’s right, no wonder Ying and Yun would disregard my orders. It’s because he didn’t die, and they’re assassins trained by him, so they only take orders from him, not me. Despite the fact that he “died” and that they switched allegiance to me, they were still working for him. That explains why Ying would pay no heed to my words and harm Shen Qianan, and why Yun repeatedly warned me to not lose sight of the plan.

Fu Sijue’s fists tightened, and something dark and unnerving gleamed in his eyes.

How ironic that he thought he had been laying the trap for years but failed to realize he was playing right into Fu Min’s hand.

Fu Min has been alive all these years and has switched revenge tactics. He has used me and sullied me with vengeance and hatred to get retribution on the Fu clan. No, not take revenge on the Fu clan. He did all those things to take away everything from the Fu clan.

Fu Sijue closed his eyes and opened them again. “Do you know where he is?”

“Yes, Mr. Fu has brought a few men with him. He mentioned that you might want to see things through this time.”

Fu Sijue chuckled wryly. “It seems like Fu Chengyan has the last say in the end.” His years of preparation had been easily rendered futile by Fu Chengyan. “All right, let’s go. Lead the way.”
