Selene disagreed, “If she’s a fake, I won’t let her deceive people and tarnish Meredith’s name.”

Although Selene hadn’t known Meredith for long, she considered her one of her few true friends and wouldn’t allow anyone to impersonate Meredith.

Harvey asked, “But what if, just hypothetically, the boss accepts this fake sister-in-law?”

Elsa then feigned interest in learning more about business by asking a middle-aged man nearby, “Mr. Blackwood, I found your discussion with my dad about the new energy project fascinating. Could you elaborate more?”

The man chuckled and said, “Mr. Wilkinson, your younger daughter has quite a knack for business! It’s rare for young women to take an interest in new energy-she has potential.”
