Chapter 239
Julia
"Mr. Martin, your wife drove off without a word."
Benjamin's expression darkened. He pulled out his phone and called, "Harper left Larry's place. Get someone to tail her," he instructed curtly.
Larry followed him, inquiring about any updates. "Any news?" he queried.
"I'm in the dark, but Harper left suddenly, something must occurred," Benjamin replied solemnly, his eyes clouded with mistrust.
Harper didn't trust Benjamin, realizing that fact left him with a bitter smile.
The rain had ceased overnight in Mayby, leaving behind crisp morning air as November approached. Despite the nearing winter, the day was pleasantly mild. By lunchtime, a sleek Mercedes-Benz graced the entrance of the Silver restaurant.
Harper emerged from the car and strode confidently into the establishment.
Greeted by the staff, she inquired, "Is Ms. Norman here?" she asked politely.
"She is here already? Great. I have an appointment with her," Harper lied after the staff confirmed Julia was there.
"In the lobby, with two friends," came the prompt response.
With a nod of gratitude, Harper proceeded indoors.
Having departed Larry's villa early in the morning, Harper's determination led her directly to the company. Despite some delay, she eventually located Julia.
Upon learning of Julia's presence, she wasted no time and rushed over immediately, her resolve unwavering.
The restaurant was not crowded yet.
In the lobby, Harper locked eyes with Julia, who recognized her.
Julia stood up and was about to greet Harper with a smile. She knew that Harper was the wife of Benjamin.
But before Julia could speak, Harper seized her collar with a sharp warning. "Julia, you better pray

Julia and her friends were taken aback by the sudden aggression.
"What's this about? What are you doing?" they questioned.
Harper's steely glare silenced them.
Julia, despite her shock, remained composed since she came from a rich family and she had seen much of life.
"Are you the friend of Annie Jones?" she inquired calmly.
"It is none of your concern. Tell me what you said to her," she demanded.
Harper tightened her grip, her eyes icy.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
Julia's calm manner didn't waver. "Did Ms. Jones complain to you and Larry? Do you think I embarrassed her? But her actions were questionable. Shouldn't she take responsibility?" she countered.
Harper's eyes flashed with cold determination and she tightened her grip even more unconsciously as she retorted, "Tell me what you said to her or will harm you, I promise. Besides, what is questionable? Larry is the one who is obsessed with their relationship. If Annie really wants to be with him, you don't stand a chance."
"Ms. Mitchell, we're supposed to be allies. Why are you helping a woman who split other people's marriage?" Julia reasoned.
