I Love You, Miss Genius

Chapter 363

Chapter 363

“But that doesn’t necessarily mean she's tough, right? Maybe she just wasn’t bold enough to fight back.” This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Bonnie raised a brow and said, “Just give Nancy a chance. You'll find out just what she’s made of. She’ll prove she has what it takes to assume the female lead role and become your character’s partner.”

Orpheus could only shrug and say, “I guess I just can’t see it yet.”

“All right, that wraps it up! T want chicken pot pie and tuna casserole for tonight’s dinner.”

That night, Bonnie and Orpheus went to Lenfield Resort together. The latter said, “This is my first time visiting your place. This place lives up to its name. It’s nothing to laugh about, not even in comparison to the Knights’ house.

“Your villa is the best around, Bonnie. You have the best view, too.”

Orpheus looked around the place, wide eyed.

He was still admiring the place when Bonnie grew slightly annoyed, saying, “Are you going to keep ogling over the place? Maybe we should forget about dinner if that’s what it takes to please you.”

“Hey, don’t do that! It’s been a long time since I tasted your cooking.

You have no idea how often I’ve stopped myself from drooling today. I couldn’t stop thinking about your cooking even while we were on the set.”

“Aattaboy!” Bonnie nodded.

“Come one, let’s go inside. 1’ll be your sous chef.”

Bonnie said smilingly, “Sure, that sounds good.”

When she finished mushroom soup, Orpheus said, “Let me take that to the dining table.”

“Are you sure? It’s still scorching,” Bonnie cautioned.

“Bonwick, are you worried about me?”

“7m just worried you'll spill my soup.”

Suddenly, Orpheus exclaimed, “Ouch! That’s hot!”

Clang!

When the pot fell, some scalding soup spilled onto Orpheus’s shirt.

“Quick, remove your shirt!” Bonnie yelled before running over to help.

At that moment, a spine-chilling voice echoed, “What are you two doing?”

The duo stopped as Ivor approached. He looked so angry that he could punch even Orpheus, his uncle. Orpheus’s eyes widened, and he struggled to find his voice. Soon after, Orpheus stammered, “I-Ivor, don’t do anything rash! You're misunderstanding the whole thing!”

However , his words did not work. Ivor was already close, and Orpheus could see his nephew's fists. “Come on, Ivor! I’m your uncle. Are you seriously going to punch me again? Fine, don’t say I didn't warn you!

T’ll tell your father if you hit me again!”

Bonnie stood before Orpheus and shielded him.

Ivor’s expression tured grim as he asked, “Are you protecting him?”

Bonnie’s lips twitched despite herself. She asked, “What’s that supposed to mean? Orpheus wasn't trying to do anything to me.”

“T saw you removing his shirt, Bonnie. You’re the one making a move on him. I have pride as a man and won’t let him off so quickly. I don’t care if Orpheus is my uncle!” Ivor said through gritted teeth.

Orpheus retorted, “Are you serious? Then, why would you want to punch me if she’s removing my shirt?”

“Shut up!” Bonnie and Ivor barked simultaneously.

Orpheus was astounded, thinking, ‘I’m the older one here, but they treat me like I’m their child! I deserve more respect, damn it.’
