CHAPTER 360
CHAPTER 360
“Although a great author like Jane might be able to pull some strings, she’s nothing before the big investor. She stands no chance against the Sheffyns,‘ Tatiana thought.
Suddenly. Xavier slapped her so hard that her face swelled almost instantly.
Tatiana cupped her cheek and looked at Xavier in disbelief.
“How dare you insult Bonniel Xavier was onraged. After getting on Bonnie’s wrong side from the street racing incident, he had to work his ass off to redeem himself. Additionally, one of his company’s hired celebrities was foolish enough to offend Bonnie,
“Since you’ve offended Bonnie, I’ll do as she said and ban you from the entertainment industry.
“W–Wait, no!” Tatiana shook her head in shock.
Xavier turned to the guards behind him and barked, “What are you waiting for?! Drag her out of the film set immediately!”
“Right away, Mr. Xavier.”
The guards approached and grabbed Tatiana by both her arms before dragging her out. She kicked and screamed, “No! Mr. Xavier, you can’t ban me from the industry!”
As her voice grew distant, Xavier turned to Bonnie and said, “I apologize for that. It seems one of my foolish celebrities has troubled you.”
“A celebrity like her just gives the whole industry a bad name. It’s a good thing we banned her from the industry,” Bonnie said indifferently.
“You’re right. Don’t worry about Tatiana. I won’t let her find her way back into the industry.”
Bonnie told Xavier and the director, “That reminds me. There might be some issues with the novel’s adaptation.”
The director respectfully said, “Please tell us your thoughts and opinions, Ms. Bonnie, We’ll work it out with the screenwriter.”
Bonnie took the script he held and said, “You removed one of the characters from the novel. Although she might seem like an insignificant character, she’ll advance the plot and become an integral part of its
climax.
“If she’s not on the TV adaptation, it’ll create a plot hole. Besides that, the lines you revised don’t reflect the male lead’s character. You’ll ruin his whole arc…”
“Oh, so that’s how it is. That explains why it felt weird to me when I got the script. Please, carry on, Ms. Bonnie. I must know if anything else contradicts the novel.” The director spoke to her like a student asking for a teacher’s pointers.
Xavier was shocked as he asked Orpheus, “I know the director very well. He’s as stubborn as a mule and won’t let me interfere even if I want to. I’m not exaggerating when I say he won’t compromise his work,
even if someone held a knife to his neck. I wonder why he’s so obedient toward Bonnie.”
Orpheus proudly said, “Of course he is! After all, Bonnie is the author of the novel that inspired this TV drama. Why wouldn’t the director listen to her?” Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Xavier was puzzled. “A–Are you saying Bonnie is Jane Austin?!”
“In the flesh! Not many can hope to compare to Bonwick.” Orpheus lifted his chin proudly.
Although Xavier might have been at the top of the food chain and had experienced many things, it did not mean he was not shocked by this revelation. Not only was he astounded that Bonnie was Jane Austin, but she was also the nation’s leading researcher.
Xavier had met many highly talented people, but most were exceptional at only one thing. On the other hand, Bonnie found time to be the best street racer and novellst.
“Jeez, I can’t believe Bonnie has yet another identity. Does she have more identities than I know of?”
Meanwhile, Orpheus swelled with pride when he saw how surprised Xavier was. The former said, “That’s right! Bonwick is no ordinary woman. I can tell you another secret, but you can’t tell anyone about it.”
