Chapter 286
Chapter 286
In Bonnie’s mind floated the occasional mischievous image of Ivor, almost causing her to burst into laughter.
“Boyfriend… I haven’t reached that stage with him yet.”
At the words, Daniel secretly clicked his tongue, glancing at Coleman and catching a glimpse of disappointment on his face.
“Is he handsome? Does he compare to our campus heartthrob, Coleman?”
Bonnie thought momentarily, then replied seriously, “They’re not the same type.”
The answer was obvious. The one pursuing Bonnie wasn’t lacking in looks.
At that moment, the school bell rang.
Simultaneously, Bonnie’s phone also rang, displaying Orpheus’s name.
“I’m outside your school gate. Are you coming out?”
“You’re punctual,” Bonnie teased.
“Of course, please call me the Punctuality King.”
After hanging up, Bonnie looked at Coleman and Daniel. “My friend’s here to pick me up, so I’ll be leaving.“.
“Okay,” Coleman replied, somewhat disappointed. He had wanted to invite Bonnie to
dinner and hang out.
Daniel watched Bonnie’s departing figure and put his arm around Coleman’s, shoulder.
“Do you think the person coming to pick up Bonnie is the one chasing her?”
“How would I know?”
“Then why stand around? Let’s go and see!”
Coleman hesitated. “Isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”
“What’s inappropriate about it? We’re leaving school anyway, and we just happen to see Bonnie’s boyfriend coming to pick her up. Everything’s just perfect. Let’s go.”
So, persuaded by Daniel, Coleman headed toward the school gate.
Soon enough, they spotted the car coming to pick up Bonnie, a Mercedes Benz that was quite common.
The window rolled down, revealing a man wearing sunglasses in the driver’s seat. His full appearance couldn’t be discerned, but from what was visible, he was undoubtedly
handsome.
“Not only is he handsome, but his aura is also exceptional!” Daniel gave high praise.
Coleman nodded in agreement. “He’s no ordinary person.”
Orpheus’s gaze bypassed Bonnie and landed on Coleman. “Is he the one you mentioned before, the one you’re engaged to?”
“No, he’s not.”
“He is, and I think he’s quite something.”
Bonnie rolled her eyes at Orpheus. “My lifelong happiness doesn’t need your concern. You better worry about yourself. You’re almost forty and still don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Hey hey hey! What kind of talk is that? What do you mean by almost forty? I’m only thirty–five and still a handsome guy, you know? Do you know how many fans I have? How many beautiful women call me their husband?”
A black Maybach pulled up at the school’s entrance as the Benz drove away.
Floyd looked at the Benz ahead and frowned. “Boss, Ms. Bonnie got into that car ahead.
Should we follow?”
“Yes.” The word came out between Ivor’s lips with a hint of coldness.
Before long, Bonnie and Orpheus arrived at the entrance of a bar, Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Due to Orpheus’s special status, they chose a secluded corner with dim–lighting.
“Try this wine. It’s the one I stored here two months ago, and I went to great lengths to get it. I’ve been waiting for you to drink it with me.” Orpheus poured a glass for Bonnie.
Instead of approaching, Ivor chose a nearby corner, silently observing.
The lighting on Bonnie’s side was dim, making it hard to see the man’s face. However, his silhouette looked very handsome, sparking a sense of crisis in Ivor.
“Here, have a taste.” Orpheus handed the poured wine to Bonnie. Carelessly, Bonnie didn’t hold it firmly, and the wine spilled on her leg.
