Chapter 1154
Bonnie looked at Billy and calmly said, "Excuse me, my name's Barret. Is this the interview for the technician job?"
Billy was amazed by "his" confidence and guts. Typically, his menacing expression would scare people. Most would even look away and back out of the interview. Not only did Bonnie not flinch, but she also spoke boldly. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
With that, Billy thought Barrett was no ordinary man. The former stopped glaring at Bonnie and adopted a more friendly attitude, saying, "That's right! This is where you interview for the job."
He gestured for her to look at the computers and continued, "My organization's advanced technicians have prepared tests for the interviewees on these computers. You may start from the computer on the left and work your way to the end on the right.
"The tests will become harder as you progress. Complete them and find the pattern from there. That'll give you an idea of how you'll solve the final test. You'll pass the interview if you complete the tests." Bonnie rubbed her chin and nodded. "So, all I have to do is complete the test on the last computer, and I'll get the job?"
Billy nodded. "That's correct. The tests on the last computer are challenging, but you can familiarize yourself with its patterns with the previous computers. That should help you complete the final tests. "That is if you're smart enough. No amount of tips will help if you're not intelligent enough to solve them."
"Understood," Bonnie said before approaching the last computer. She sat down and said, "I don't need to familiarize myself with patterns. Is it okay if I just complete the tests on this computer to save time?" Billy's technicians were in an uproar when they heard that.
"Didn't you hear what Mr. Billy said? The tests on the last computer are the hardest! You can't crack them if you don't familiarize yourself with the other computers' provided patterns!"
"Yeah, Mr. Billy has given you enough hints. Why don't you understand them? You'll only have yourself to blame if you fail!"
"We're the most advanced technicians in the organization, and we crafted these tests, yet you're trying to skip the earlier ones. Don't you think that's disrespectful?"
"There's always someone better than you, young man! You're still young. It'll be wise not to be prideful!"
The technicians highly disapproved of Bonnie's actions.
Even Billy agreed with them. He squinted disdainfully at Bonnie, saying, "I admire your boldness, Barrett, but I like humbleness instead of pridefulness. Are you sure you want to forgo the previous tests? You only have one shot at this. Don't say I didn't warn you."
Bonnie grinned and said, "I've always been humble, but I came prepared. I wouldn't have skipped the other tests if I wasn't confident in myself. Also wouldn't have come for this interview if I wasn't capable enough.
"I don't see why I should just pretend to struggle. That would be dishonest, wouldn't it?"
"Well, I—"
The technicians exchanged glances. Just like that, Bonnie had convinced them. Meanwhile, Billy glanced at her distrustfully.
"Indeed, there are more capable
technicians than mine out there. However, my technicians aren't as incompetent as you imagine. They wouldn't be advanced techs@f they didn't have what it took.
"You're young, so might not outsmart them so easily. You're being hasty because you're inexperienced and don't know how the world works. That's why you're arrogant!"
