Chapter 993: Don't Listen to His Nonsense
As they had plenty of time, Zane chatted with Yanis for a while before getting up to pack their things.
Yanis followed him closely. "We're only going for a day, so we don't need to bring too much, right?"
Zane reached out his hand for Yanis to hold, and she took it. Hand in hand, they walked upstairs. Zane
replied, "Since we have this opportunity, let me take you around to different places. Let's bring a little
more."
Yanis kept up with his pace. "Aren't you supposed to be working?"
"I still have Albi; I don't need to handle everything myself," Zane explained.
In reality, once Zane met with the other party to discuss the important details, Albi would handle the
rest, so Zane planned to take Yanis around while he had some free time. After all, as the year-end
approached, many things would get busy.
Yanis initially intended to bring only one set of clothes, but after listening to Zane, she packed a few
more things.
In the afternoon, they flew to Burumal on time.
...
Linen Bay.
Stella carried her things inside. "I had the formaldehyde levels tested, and they're all within the safe
range. But we should still be cautious."
She turned to Sandy and said, "Why don't you wait for a while longer?"
Sandy looked at Stella and replied, "It's fine. I won't be here every day anyway."
Stella looked at Brandon, gesturing for him to persuade Sandy. After all, Sandy was pregnant, and the
issue of formaldehyde was significant.
Upon receiving Stella's signal, Brandon looked at Sandy and said softly, "My sister called yesterday
afternoon and said she'll bring Lucas over during the summer vacation. By then, there will be no place
for them to stay here. How about we listen to her and wait until after this summer vacation?"
Sandy turned to Brandon. "When did my sister say that? Why wasn't I informed?"
"You fell asleep yesterday afternoon, and I got busy afterward, so I forgot to tell you," Brandon
explained. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
After hearing Brandon's words, Sandy nodded. "Alright then, we'll wait until after the summer vacation."
Stella finally relaxed. "Then I'll arrange these items. They should be fine after a month or two."
Sandy agreed, "Sure."
As Stella went to put things in order, Sandy looked at Brandon and asked in a low voice, "When my
sister and Lucas come over, will your mom come too?"
Brandon looked at Sandy and asked, "Do you want her to come?"
Sandy nodded and then leaned closer to Brandon's ear. "Brandon, how about we finalize things during
the summer vacation and have the wedding then?"
Brandon heard Sandy's suggestion but teased, "It'll be very hot during the summer. Aren't you afraid of
the heat?"
Sandy hesitated at the thought of sweating profusely from the heat, but she eventually nodded. "Alright,
let's wait until October then."
Once Stella finished arranging things, she came out and asked, "Do you need anything else? We can
buy more things when you come over later."
"Sure," Sandy replied. She thought about what Brandon said earlier and asked Stella, "Sis, can we stay
with you during this time?"
Stella agreed, "Of course, there's plenty of room. When Brandon's sister comes over, they'll have a
place to stay too."
Sandy nodded, "Alright."
On their way back, Sandy received a call from Anthony. Without hiding anything, she said, "It's Anthony
calling."
Sandy had already discussed with Brandon about Belle and Aaron coming to see her, so there was no
need to hide anything.
Hearing Sandy's words, Brandon glanced at her and said, "I don't have anything else going on today,
so let's treat him to dinner."
After all, Anthony had helped Sandy more than once, so it was only fitting that they treated him to a
meal.
Sandy agreed and answered the call, "Hello?"
"Are you busy?" Anthony's voice came through the phone.
Sandy replied, "Not at all. Do you have time today? I want to treat you to dinner."
Anthony was initially taken aback but then replied, "Sure, I have time."
Sandy continued, "Alright, I'll send you the address. Come over later."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Sandy thought for a moment and chose Maple House as their dinner venue. She sent
the location to Anthony and then looked at Stella, asking in a low voice, "Sis, do you want to join us?"
Stella shook her head. "I'll go see Meggie later. You guys go ahead."
Sandy asked, "Is Luca up to something again?"
Stella smiled and said, "No, don't overthink it."
Sandy looked at Stella and advised, "Just don't listen to his nonsense. He can say anything; don't
believe him."
Stella replied, "I know. I'm not foolish."
"By the way, prepare for what I told you last time. Brandon said he'll be back soon, and you can meet
and talk with him then," Sandy said earnestly.
Stella responded, "I got it, and I'll remember."
After saying that, Stella looked at Sandy and asked, "Should I drop you both off at Maple House?"
Sandy checked the time and said, "Sure, just take us there directly."
Stella agreed and drove Brandon and Sandy to Maple House.
After saying their goodbyes, Stella drove off to find Meggie.
To be honest, aside from the troubling issues between her and Luca, Stella enjoyed her interactions
with Meggie. However, Luca would often pester her relentlessly, even sending flowers on holidays. His
persistent attention bothered Stella, but there was nothing she could do to stop him.
So, Stella planned to discuss it with Meggie this time and ask her to persuade Yan Mingjuan not to
disturb her anymore. Since they had broken up, it would be better if they could keep a dignified
distance and avoid entangling each other. This would be the best way to handle things.
Meggie wasn't at the store today; she was at her own place.
Stella parked her car downstairs and got out, then went straight into the building. As she climbed the
stairs, she initially intended to knock on the door, but when she raised her hand, she realized the door
was already open.
Stella hesitated for a moment before pushing the door open. "Meggie?"
The door slammed shut behind her due to the wind, startling Stella.
When she turned around, she called out again, "Meggie?"
After two consecutive calls with no response, Stella entered the living room and noticed someone
sitting on the sofa.
"Luca? What are you doing here?"
