Chapter 890: Is Being a Good Person Bad?

After all the commotion, it was already very late.

Just as Sandy was about to tell Anthony they should go back, she received a call from Stella.

Sandy glanced at the caller ID and answered the phone. "Hey, sis?"

"Miss Thompson, do you realize how late it is? Do you even know the way back home if I don't call

you?" Stella's voice came through the phone.

Sandy chuckled. "Sis, I'm on my way back now, immediately."

"Do you want me to come pick you up?" Stella asked over the phone.

Sandy declined. "No need, I'm heading home right away. Just wait for me at home."

Upon hearing Sandy's response, Stella sighed, "Alright, I'll wait for you at home. Hurry back."

Sandy replied, "Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Sandy looked at Anthony. "It's getting late, let's go back. My sister called

and urged me."

Anthony nodded in response. "Let's go, I'll walk you back."

Sandy agreed. "Okay."

The two of them turned and headed in the direction where they had parked earlier.

Halfway through, Anthony suddenly stopped walking.

Sandy stopped too when she saw Anthony stop. "What's wrong?"

"I left the car keys with Hiruma," Anthony whispered.

As Sandy heard Anthony's words, she also remembered that Hiruma had taken the car earlier.

"What should we do? Should we call him to come back?" Sandy asked, looking at Anthony.

Anthony glanced at the time on his watch. "Wait a moment."

After saying that, Anthony picked up his phone and dialed a number.

Sandy stood by and watched Anthony. She had some understanding of Anthony, but what she heard

about him and what she saw now were like two different people.

Although her time in this circle wasn't long, it wasn't short either. She had played various roles and

seen many real faces. So when she got closer to someone, she would unconsciously try to understand

their background.

Therefore, apart from her gratitude towards Anthony, her attitude towards him was similar to that of an

ordinary friend.

However, Anthony could easily see through her thoughts, not because she was too self-centered or

anything, but because Anthony's every word and action failed to conceal that bit of care. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

Having seen all kinds of human nature and worldly affairs, Sandy easily saw through Anthony's little

concern for her.

But Anthony was different from the male fan from earlier. His every move was cautious, fearing that he

might offend her.

And Sandy understood this. Anthony's social circle wasn't filled with righteous people. People

connected to the black market or involved in the fashion industry were definitely not clean-cut.

But the Anthony standing before her now was completely different from the one Jones had told her

about. It didn't match even a bit.

Jones described Anthony as fierce, cold-hearted, and ruthless. From every aspect, he didn't seem like

a good person.

But what Sandy was seeing now was completely different from what Jones had described. It was like

two completely different people.

"Sandy?"

After finishing his call, Anthony turned around and noticed that Sandy had been staring at him.

Upon hearing Anthony's voice, Sandy snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him. "Hmm?"

"What were you looking at?" Anthony spoke first, with a hint of amusement. "Were you looking at me

just now?"

Hearing that, Sandy chuckled and openly admitted, "Yeah, you're different from what I've known."

Anthony laughed at Sandy's words. "What you've known, whether good or bad, is still me. But what

you're seeing now is also me. The me you see now is the most real."

At that point, Anthony paused for a moment. "However, what kind of person I truly am ultimately

depends on your perspective. I admit that I can be quite versatile, but it also depends on the person

and the situation. I become the person that is needed in front of different people."

Listening to Anthony's words, Sandy didn't know how to respond for a moment.

After a few seconds of silence, she finally spoke. "Based on what I know about you, you're a good

person."

Anthony chuckled. "Miss Thompson, this is the first time someone has handed me the 'good person'

card. Should I accept it or not?"

"Is it bad to be a good person?" Sandy looked at Anthony and asked.

Anthony nodded. "Alright."

Sandy said, "Then be a good person."

But Anthony didn't continue the conversation. Instead, he changed the topic. "Let's go. Hiruma is

waiting for us by the car."

Seeing Anthony diverting the topic, Sandy didn't say anything more.

When they reached the car, only Hiruma was left, standing by the car and smoking.

Upon seeing Sandy and Anthony approach, Hiruma stubbed out his cigarette and looked up. "Anthony,

why did you run just now? Was Miss Thompson recognized?"

Anthony walked up to Hiruma and gave him a quick slap on the back. "Why did you bring so many

people?"

As soon as Hiruma heard that, he quickly reacted. "No, I forgot at that moment."

Anthony didn't say anything more. "Get in the car, I'll take Sandy home."

Hiruma acknowledged and, before getting into the car, turned back to Anthony and whispered,

"Anthony, we threw that guy into the river and stripped off his clothes."

Upon hearing this, Anthony raised an eyebrow and looked at Hiruma. "You're asking for trouble by

doing something like that."

"It's not that serious. The river isn't deep enough to reach my knees, and we didn't tie him up. We just

threw him in and left. He came out on his own."

Hearing Hiruma's explanation, Anthony nodded. "Let's go."

After that, Anthony turned and opened the car door for Sandy. "Let's go."

Sandy bent down and got into the car.

Just as Sandy had sat down in the car, Jones called. "Sandy! You better roll back to me right now!"

Startled by Jones's roaring voice over the phone, Sandy jumped. "What's going on? Did you eat

several buckets of gunpowder tonight?"

"Tell me where you are right now!"

"What?"

"Where are you!?" Jones's voice increased by 180 degrees.

Sandy said, "I'm at my sister's place. I-"

"I've already been to Stella's place, and you're not there. Which sister's place are you talking about?

Miss Cooke? Miss Cooke is currently at a villa taking care of her pregnancy, and Mr. Hughs is there

too. Tell me, which sister is Sandy referring to?"

Jones shut down all of Sandy's attempts to speak.

"No, what have you heard? What have you seen?" Sandy asked.

"I'll send it to you, but you better come back to me immediately!"

Sandy replied, "Okay, can I come to your place?"

"Come to my house," Jones said.

Sandy acknowledged. "Got it, see you later."

After hanging up the phone, Sandy looked at Anthony. "Could you please take me to Blueocean

Apartment on Prime Street?"

"But won't they lose fans by doing that?"

"There are pros and cons to everything."

Anthony didn't continue the conversation and fell silent for a moment. "Do you want to eat something? I

can go buy it for you."

Sandy thought for a moment. "Never mind, but I'd like to have some fruit tea."

Anthony glanced around. "They probably don't have it here. Let's go check further ahead."

Sandy nodded and followed Anthony.

"Anthony!"

Just as they took a few steps, they heard Hiruma's voice from behind.

Anthony glanced back and furrowed his brow when he saw Hiruma and a group of people approaching.

"Run!"

Anthony reached out and grabbed Sandy's hand as they ran to the side.

Confused, Sandy asked, "Why are we running?"

"Hiruma will definitely say you're Sandy, and then you won't be able to go back tonight." Anthony ran

and explained.

Upon hearing this, Sandy said, "Then let's run faster!"

"Hey, Anthony, why are you running?" Hiruma's voice came from behind.

Without turning his head, Anthony pulled Sandy and ran a long distance, with Hiruma and the others

trailing behind.

Finally, Anthony pulled Sandy into a narrow alleyway, hiding away from sight.

The cramped space forced them to stand face to face, feeling a bit crowded. The distance between

them was very close, and Sandy furrowed her brow, slowly shifting to the side.

Sensing Sandy's movement, Anthony discreetly adjusted his position and whispered, "We'll go out

when they're gone."

Sandy whispered, "Okay."

After about three to four minutes, the two of them emerged from the alleyway.

Hiruma and the others were nowhere to be seen.
