Chapter 167: Would He Hate Me If He Found Out?
Hearing this, Bonnie was stunned. She looked at Yanis. "You really... know him well!"
Yanis looked at Bonnie with a worried look on her face and moved a little closer to her. "Bonnie,
honestly, don't you ever feel the urge to be with Myles?"
"Yes," she said.
Bonnie rarely hid anything from Yanis.
"So why worry about something like that?"
Bonnie leaned on Yanis' shoulder. "Yanis, it was just an impulse."
Despite Bonnie's temper and impulsiveness, there were many good qualities in her.
But when it came to relationships, Bonnie was always cautious.
After more than 20 years of bonding with Myles, their relationship had been strained between friends
and family. Myles desperately tried to get closer, but Bonnie was the opposite every time.
To Bonnie, Myles was a family member and a friend.
The only thing she didn't see Myles as was her boyfriend.
Yanis stroked Bonnie's hair and whispered, "back in the day... You still can't let it go?"
Yanis could tell that Bonnie didn't even breathe when she talked about what happened back then.
After a while, Bonnie said, "how can I let it go? Do you think he'd hate me if he knew his parents were
dead because of my mom?"
Myles loved Bonnie, and it was no secret that he loved her.
If Myles had to die for Bonnie, Myles would probably do it without a second thought.
However, if, and when, the truth came out, Myles, according to his personality, wouldn't hurt Bonnie,
but would probably disappear from Bonnie's world.
At that point, Bonnie would probably go crazy.
Even though Bonnie was sick of the way Myles treated her right now, it would be a different story if
Myles simply disappeared from her world.
"Bonnie, is this something you're going to keep bottled up the rest of your life?"
Bonnie shook her head. "No, I can't take his right of knowing the truth after his parents died."
That was why Bonnie hadn't been able to commit to a relationship with Myles all these years. It was
even because she was afraid. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
She was afraid that Myles would hate her and disappear from her world.
That was why she willfully and selfishly refused his love while keeping him around...
When the food arrived, Bonnie ate some and then went straight to the shower.
Yanis didn't go up with Bonnie because she suddenly remembered that she hadn't done the landscape
painting Magnus asked for.
Yanis got inspired and spent the whole night downstairs.
It wasn't until the sun rose in the morning that Yanis put down her paintbrush.
There was very little on the paper, but she scratched out a little model.
Yanis put her things away and then got up to wash her face.
Although she stayed up all night, Yanis didn't feel sleepy at all.
Checking the time, Yanis got up and went upstairs to her room to change her clothes. She walked over
to Bonnie's bed and woke her up.
"I'll go to Linen Bay. Will you go directly to the hospital later?"
Bonnie sat up bemused. "What are you doing in Linen Bay?"
"I went shopping yesterday. I'm going to tidy up today. When I'm done, I can go to live there."
"Haven't you had a good time with me?"
"You've been living here all this time. How lonely will the teacher be staying at home alone?"
Bonnie yawned. "Now he wishes I won't go home and leave him alone."
Yanis chuckled. "The teacher likes to say one thing and mean the other. He likes you to bother him
every day."
Bonnie tutted. "Why don't I go with you today? Help you clean up, ok?"
"Come on, what happened to switch shifts with Haider at the hospital? If you don't go, Myles may be
left alone."
While Bonnie was listening, she pulled the covers and got out of bed. "Haider will arrange someone to
take care of him," she said.
"Whom do you think Myles prefers, other people or you?"
Bonnie didn't say anything and went into the bathroom. "If it wasn't for the fact that I didn't think you'd
take Myles' side, I'd think you were Myles' spy."
Yanis turned around and grabbed a coat from the side. "You were right. I'm Myles' spy."
Bonnie poked her head out of the bathroom. "Miss Thompson, take your time. See you tonight."
Yanis smiled. "I'll drop you off later?"
"Ok, wait for me."
Yanis mused, "You can take your time."
...
Iris' called just as Yanis was dropping Bonnie off at the hospital gate.
"Who called you in the early morning? Ivan?"
Yanis shook her head.
"Magnus's grandson. You've met him before."
Bonnie swallowed the bun in her mouth. "Iris?"
Yanis nodded. "I met Iris yesterday at the mall."
Yanis told her a general story about what happened in the mall yesterday, but she hid the story about
meeting Neve and Zane.
Bonnie then tutted, "I feel like things are getting better since you broke up with that scumbag."
She paused, "That scumbag is such a pain in the ass. He's been holding you back for so many years.
Get rid of him, and you have plenty of choices of the most talented young men in Manches City."
Yanis stared at her. "Okay, you better get going."
Bonnie opened the door and got out of the car. She paused as she closes it. "Yanis, sometimes you
have to grab the man when you get a chance. I think Iris is better than the scumbag!"
Yanis, "..."
Only after Bonnie turned away did Yanis answer the phone, "Mr. Duncan."
"Are you up?"
Yanis answered, "Yes, I'm going over now."
Iris answered, "ok, text me when you get here.
"Ok, see you then."
After hanging up the phone, Yanis drove the car away from the hospital and went toward Linen Bay.
Because it was the rush hour for work.
Yanis got stuck in a traffic jam all the way. When she arrived in Linen Bay, it was already 40 minutes
later.
Yanis parked her car in the parking lot. After getting out of the car, when she was about to call Iris, she
saw Iris' car coming from the other side.
Yanis took two steps back so Iris could park his car properly.
She watched Iris get out of the car. "I was just going to call you."
Iris closed the door, "You came during rush hour, and I expected you to arrive around this time, so I
drove straight here."
