Chapter 163: Being Seen as The Mistress
Yanis took the dress out and handed it to Connie.
"Miss Lowe, here you are."
Connie reached out and took the bag from Yanis. As she opened it, she said casually, "have I seen you
before?"
"Does Miss Lowe mean last time?"
Connie's hand hesitated. "I think I've seen you somewhere else, too."
Yanis heard Connie and tried to remember. But she couldn't remember where else they had met
besides the studio.
Suddenly Connie stopped and looked at Yanis, "I remember, I saw you at an event once with Mr.
Lawrence. Do you know Mr. Lawrence?"
Yanis was shocked. She had rarely gone out with Zane before. If they did, she was only attending the
event as his date. Every time they went somewhere, there would be no reporters.
Connie looked up at Yanis, she seemed seeing through her thoughts, saying gently, "it was just a
glimpse. I may have mistaken the person. Don't take it too seriously."
Yanis didn't say care much. "Would you like to try it on? I'll have Bonnie fix it for you if it doesn't fit."
Connie got up. "I'll try it."
Connie ordered a fishtail dress, so Yanis leaned over and lifted it up for Connie.
When Connie went into the changing room, Yanis was standing in the doorway.
"I forgot to ask. What should I call you?"
"Yanis."
Hearing the question, Yanis answered.
After a while, Connie said again, "I saw you in the store with Ivan. Are you two dating?"
Yanis frowned when listening to Connie's question, and answered, "no, we are just friends. We have
known each other for a long time."
Connie said no more.
She stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself. Then she turned to Yanis, who was standing on
the side. She asked aloud, "what do you think, Miss Thompson?"
Yanis took one look at Connie's dress and nodded. "It's beautiful."
Connie was not very beautiful, maybe because of the makeup, she looked elegant and attractive.
Connie smiled. "Does Miss Thompson work for Ms. Cooke or…?"
"I'm living with her for the time being."
Connie made sure the dress was fine, then changed back into her clothes and asked Yanis to put it
away again.
"Miss Lowe, feel free to contact Bonnie if you have any questions. She'll be the first to assist you."
Connie took the bag and nodded. As she turned around, she suddenly stopped walking and looked at
Yanis. "Does Miss Thompson know Neve?"
When Yanis heard the word Neve, she unconsciously felt reluctant. When she looked at Connie, she
answered in a faint voice, "I don't know him well. I have met him."
Connie said, "just now I said I met you at an event. I think I remember correctly because I will not
mistake Mr. Lawrence. Miss Thompson is not the kind of person who will destroy others' relationships,
right? So, you should keep your distance from other girls' boyfriends."
Connie did not give Yanis a chance to speak. She smiled at Yanis and then left the studio with the
dress in hand.
Yanis just stood there and watched Connie leave.
Thinking of what Connie had just said, Yanis wanted to laugh.
It was clear that she was the real wife, but now in the eyes of others, she was the third person who
broke other people's relationships.
The world was a strange place.
Bonnie wasn't in the studio, and Yanis didn't stay long in the studio.
She drove to Linen Bay.
Yanis hadn't been back since she checked the house and once when signing the contract.
Some of the items inside had been removed by Yanis before.
There was a lot of furniture removed, so it looked a little empty.
Yanis entered the door, walked around the house, and looked for a cleaning company on the Internet.
Then she went to the furniture store by herself.
There was a lot of stuff needed in the house.
A sofa, a bed, and a few small items.
Yanis spent a long time there and had chosen a big bed and an oversized L-shaped sofa.
After paying the check, Yanis left her address. She went upstairs to pick up some ornaments, and bed
sheets.
When she had finished, she found her shopping cart was full. It was obvious that she couldn't carry
them all on her own.
After paying the check, Yanis was thinking to call Bonnie to come over.
Just as Yanis was about to call Bonnie, a person stopped in front of her. "Miss Thompson?"
Hearing the sound, Yanis subconsciously looked up. When she saw who was standing in front of her,
Yanis was stunned for a moment and then smiled. "Mr. Duncan."
Iris took a look at the shopping cart next to Yanis and asked, "do you buy all this stuff by yourself?"
Yanis replied, "what is Mr. Duncan doing here?"
"I came to buy something for Magnus. He's been talking about it for days, and I was free today, so I
came to check it out."
"Didn't Magnus come? "
"He hangs out with a bunch of old men all the time, and I asked him to come over. But he didn't want
to."
At this point, Iris paused, "if it's convenient for Miss Thompson, could you do me a favor and check the
items for me? Magnus gave a lot of compliments about you. He won't be picky about what you choose.
In return, I will help you carry your things later, ok?"
Yanis smiled, "Yes, I can help you, but I will ask a friend over to help me."
"Where do you live? If it's on my way, I can just carry them for you."
"Linen Bay." Iris raised his eyebrows. "You live in Linen Bay? Did you just move there?"
Yanis nodded. "Yes." Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
"That's good. I live there too. I'll help Miss Thompson carry them back."
When Iris said this, Yanis did not refuse anymore. She deposited her stuff and went to choose things
with Iris.
"All Magnus wanted was some painting tools and some other stuff."
Yanis was an expert, so it was fast for her to choose.
Iris followed Yanis with a helpless look on his face. "It's lucky that I met you. Otherwise, I would have
bought the wrong stuff back, and Magnus would be angry at me."
Yanis put the tools she had chosen into Iris's basket. "These are the brands that Magnus used to use,
and it's easy for me to choose."
Iris shook his head. "I think they all look pretty much the same to me, but there are hundreds of
different kinds for you guys."
Yanis chuckled. "Well, that's pretty much it."
"I'll pay. You wait for me by the door."
"Ok."
As Iris went to pay, Yanis turned and headed for the deposit counter.
After walking a few steps, Yanis heard a familiar sound. "Zane, what do you think of this one? Should it
be comfortable to sleep on?"
It was Neve's voice.
