I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 328

Chapter 328

Mabel pondered for a moment before saying, “Can I ask you a question?”

Vananeru was slightly stunned as she found the Chanaean woman to be strange. Nonetheless, she replied, “Go ahead.”

With her permission, Mabel asked, “According to the legends, there was a type of demon that would wreak destruction on people once it descended upon the earth. However, when it finally arrived, it was just an innocent being with no intention to harm anyone. However, the people in power, worried about the potential calamity it would cause, wanted to have this demon killed to nip such a possibility in the bud. Do you think the demon deserves to be eliminated?”

The baffled Vananeru replied, “I don't understand why you asked me something like this. Besides, this is a really strange question.”

“I'll explain it to you later, but first, you'll have to answer me whether the demon deserves to be killed or not,” Mabel responded flatly.

Faced with her persistence, Vananeru gave the matter serious thought. A short while later, she said, “Since the demon has not done anything wrong, it would be an injustice for those in power to have it killed simply because of the possibility that it would do harm. Even the law doesn't punish anyone for having thoughts about killing others.”

Mabel's eyes lit up a little. “I'm glad that you think that way.”

“Now, can you tell me why you asked me such a question?” Vananeru requested.

Mabel explained, “That's because your father, Master Methendriel, has caught a demon like this and wants to execute it. I'm sure you have heard of it before. It's called cacodemon.”

There, she paused briefly before continuing, “Cacodemons are the king of demons; they have been foretold to bring calamity upon the people of Thymion. As the holy master, your father has the responsibility to eliminate demons. To him, he's just carrying out his duty. However, from the perspective of the cacodemon, not only has it done nothing wrong, but it has also saved my life once. In fact, in order to save my friend and me, it gave up resisting and allowed your father's subordinate to capture it. Wouldn't it be a grave injustice if such a loyal and innocent cacodemon be killed by your father?”

Vananeru was flabbergasted by the revelation. “I've heard of the cacodemon before but have no idea that my father has captured one. Did you come to me because you want me to persuade my father to release it?”

“You won't be able to persuade your father... Karma is a terrifying thing. Destiny brought the cacodemon to earth, despite the best efforts of those from Daphunova Temple to stop it. Now that it's here, I believe there's a reason for its coming. After all, the Chanaeans have an old saying—all that is real is reasonable.”

Vananeru questioned, “What's your point?”

“I'm afraid that the cacodemon, who arrived with no ill intentions, would be inadvertently driven to fulfill the prophecy after suffering injustice in your father's hands.” Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Even though those words caused the color to drain from her face, Vananeru regained her composure quickly. “Since you claim that destiny has brought about the existence of cacodemon, what do you want

from me? If its arrival on earth truly is destined, it will be able to survive even if you don't do anything, isn't that right?”

Mabel explained, “The Heavenly Law works in mysterious ways. As the cacodemon has saved my life, I cannot sit idly by and leave its fate to God's mercy. That's why I must do something to save it.”

Vananeru finally grasped the situation. “Are you planning on holding me hostage to force my father to release the cacodemon?”

Mabel let out a soft sigh. “All this while, I've always been an upright person. Unfortunately, this situation left me with no choice... Ms. Vananeru, it is not my intention to harm you.”

“I will do my best to help by getting my father to release the cacodemon. However, you can't lay a finger on me, let alone abduct me.”

“Your father will not listen to anyone. In fact, I'm not even sure if using your life to threaten him will work. That said, it's still worth a try.”

A strange look appeared in Vananeru's eyes, and she soon warned, “You should go. I don't want to harm you. Besides, you won't be able to capture me.”

That caused Mabel's chest to tighten. The unusual vibe she felt from Vananeru had been gnawing at

her, yet she was unable to put her finger on it. As a matter of fact, she even assumed that Galad did not provide more security to Vananeru because he was not the least bit worried about her.

No sooner had Vananeru spoken than Mabel felt a dangerous aura in the air that ignited a cold glint in her own eyes.

At that juncture, there was no way Mabel was going to back down.

All of a sudden, Mabel extended her hand forward, hoping to have Vananeru at her mercy by seizing the latter's neck.

Unexpectedly, a blob of blinding light flared out in front of Vananeru at the very last moment.

Thereafter, an authoritative voice thundered, “You evil creature, how dare you harm Vananeru!”

The voice belonged to none other than Galad.

Mabel's face paled from shock. Earlier on, she clearly saw that Vananeru was the one who spoke.

Apparently, the latter was doing so with Galad's voice.

Eyeing Vananeru warily, Mabel was utterly befuddled.

Vananeru looked as if she had turned into a different person. The frosty look in her eyes struck fear into anyone who saw it.

The wheels in Mabel's head started turning. Since she was not a coward, she would not be easily

scared by the sudden change in Vananeru.

First of all, she was certain the person in front of her was Vananeru, not Galad himself.

Master Methendriel must have formed a primordial spirit and is using it to protect Vananeru.

Being a proud person, Mabel recalled how Vananeru cursed at her upon regaining her composure.

“D*mn it!” Rage blazed up in Mabel. She did not believe she would be defeated by the holy master's primordial spirit.

“Come with me!” Once again, Mabel struck out at Vananeru. With her fingers crooked, she made a clutch at the latter's face.

Mabel was cognizant that Galad's primordial spirit would not be of much help to his daughter due to Vananeru's weak constitution.

Despite the lightning speed of her attack, Mabel failed to capture Vananeru, as a golden gate suddenly appeared in front of the latter.

The strange phenomenon caused Mabel to end up grasping at thin air. As for Vananeru, she had jumped into the golden gate, disappearing from the car.

Vananeru had vanished into thin air.

Seeing that the golden gate was still present, Mabel jumped into it without an ounce of hesitation.

Jonathan, who had been observing the situation inside the car from outside, suddenly saw a glaring light succeeded by Mabel's and Vananeru's disappearance.

Shocked by the development, he dashed toward the car and ripped the car door open by force. Unfortunately, there was no one inside the vehicle.

Mabel and Vananeru were gone for real.

That alarming turn of events unsettled Jonathan, who had been haunted by a niggling sense of dread. His theory was proven right with their disappearance.

“How did they vanish into thin air? Where exactly has Mabel gone to?” When Jonathan scanned his surroundings, all he saw was the crisscrossing of traffic and people. There was no sign of Mabel or Vananeru at all.

Where in the world are they?

Meanwhile, Mabel felt the air and molecules around her rage turbulently the moment she jumped into the golden gate.

In that instant, the space was distorted, while time was thrown into chaos, filling her with a surreal sensation.

By the time she could clearly see what was before her, she realized she was in what looked like a meditation room within a temple.

The atmosphere was quiet, with rays of the setting sun shining through the windows.

When Mabel raised her head, she found Vananeru standing beside a middle-aged man.

Dressed in a gray robe with a white silk cloth wrapped around his head, the man looked like a stereotypical Thymion monk.

He had chiseled features, big eyes, and imposing brows. The enchanting glint in his eyes would elicit fear and respect from anyone whose gaze fell upon them.

In the presence of the man, Mabel felt intimidated.

Within that split second, she had no doubt who the man in front of her was.

He is none other than the leader of Celestial Sky Sect and the strongest elite in Thymion, Master Methendriel!

Unspeakable panic and fear flashed across Mabel's eyes when she realized she had been teleported to her current location. This is a powerful divine ability capable of making one traverse The Void!

“You must be wondering how you got here, aren't you?” Galad remarked as he regarded Mabel with an indifferent look.

Meanwhile, Vananeru's eyes had regained their previous tranquility and innocence. In a deep voice, she said, “It's a shame that you didn't heed my warning. Now, you'll have to face my father's wrath.”

Ignoring Vananeru, Mabel faced Galad and uttered, “I wasn't surprised that you used your mana to lodge a primordial spirit on your daughter as her guardian. However, traversing through The Void is a

powerful divine ability of traversal which you currently do not possess.”

With a flat tone, Galad explained, “That is true. So far, only someone as powerful as Divine Emperor has the ability to do so. The golden gate you saw earlier is a magical weapon that allows me to cast the Realm Shift Spell. I happened to discover it within an ancient tomb. The Realm Shift Spell allows one to open a gateway to The Void by accurately splitting molecules. However, the magical weapon can only be used three times. Now that you have forced me into wasting one of these precious chances, you will have to pay for it.”

After a brief pause, he added, “To be honest, you're no match for that primordial spirit of mine. I just didn't want to cause a ruckus because you and Vananeru were in a bustling city. Otherwise, you would have long died at the hands of my primordial spirit.”

Narrowing her eyes, Mabel retorted, “I've heard about how powerful the holy master is. That said, I'm not going to give up without a fight, no matter what, so show me what you got!”
