Nalzen

I  couldn’t take it anymore! Aaron’s Mom won’t stop!

I have had no peaceful day ever since she stays at our house.

Plus Aaron’s childhood sweetheart. Brittny is timid but she’s doing something on purpose that will make my blood boils and get jealous!

I’m tired of them!

Now, I’m looking at their huge portrait hanging on the wall.

Aaron’s Mother replace our wedding picture with a family photo of the three of them!

I’m so furious when I arrive at the hospital. My head is aching and I don’t want to eat lately. Now that I keep on vomiting. I decided to have a check and I’m 2 months pregnant!

I’m so happy and call Aaron to go home early. I told him that I have a surprise for him.

But this family photo surprise me instead!

I even bought some baby stuff like clothes, small baby shoes, and a feeding bottle. I also have pink and blue balloons to decorate the whole mansion. I still don’t know the gender of the baby. So the pink and blue combination is the best.

I’m craving to eat green mangoes with shrimp paste. And I’m eating right now while waiting at them. I’m just hoping that it can relax and calm my mind. I need to be careful now that I’m pregnant. I’m very excited to tell the news to Aaron but I doubt if her mother will be happy about this.

But no matter what. She can’t change the fact that Aaron and I are legally married. She can’t do anything with it! I’m just hoping that she will accept me as her daughter-in-law.

But things between us are getting worst.

Even so, she needs to acknowledge and love our baby!

The maids told me that Brittny and Aaron’s mother went out shopping.

Their face turns sour while looking at me.

“You want some?” I ask them.

“Oh, no thanks Ma’am Nalzen. It smells bad.” She answers while covering her nose.

“Where do we put this family photo ma’am?” The other maid asks me.

I look at their happy photo. They look like a perfect family!

And I feel like an outcast out of a sudden.

“Just hang it at Aaron’s Mom. Put it inside her bedroom.” I said.

I should return it to her. I’m still the hostess of this house. I have all the right to do what I like!

I continue to decorate the whole living room with pink and blue balloons. I’m excited!

I thought it was Aaron that arrives but it was his Mom.

She’s laughing with Brittny when she notices our wedding picture is back hanging on the wall.

“Where is our family picture?!” She shouts and her voice echoes throughout the whole living room.

I didn’t speak nor mind her. I continue putting balloons on the wall. She can shout all she wants. I’m tired listening of to her.

She approaches and scolded the maid.

“Where is it?” She asks angrily.

“Calm down, Tita Margaret.” Brittny tap her shoulder gently.

“T-the p-photo is in your room, Madam.” The maid answered nervously.

“What? Get it and put it back in here!” She angrily shouted.

Just what’s wrong with her?

I think I couldn’t take it anymore. She is bad for my health. I want peace of mind!

The maid brings back their family picture and I throw it away when she’s about to remove our wedding photo. I smash it on the floor.

I don’t why I’m like this. Just maybe because of the changes in my hormones being pregnant or I just lose my patience!

“What did you do? You broke our Family Picture!” Her Mom shouts looking horrified.

“I’m just taking it away. This space in here is for our wedding photo because this is OUR home!” I answer.

She looks at me angrily.

“You’re crazy! That’s our family photo and you take it for granted. I will not let it pass!” She said and remove our wedding photo.

It drops on the floor and I watch the glass of it scattered everywhere.

“What happened in here?” Aaron arrives and asks.

I’m tired of this place. If they want me to leave then I will!

What am I doing here? It’s bad for my baby’s health!

“As you can see. Your Mom wants that Family Photo of yours. I’m tired of arguing with her! I don’t want to be like her during my menopausal stage. A heartless old crazy woman!” I shouted angrily.

“What did you say? Look at her Aaron! She has no respect at all!” She said.

“Wifey?” Aaron asks confused.

“What about you? You see that this is where we put our wedding photo but you still keep on insisting on that bullshit family photo of yours! Did you respect me a little as Aaron’s wife? You even brought his childhood sweetheart in here. For what? For flirting?” I burst out in anger and it was hard for me to calm down.

“What are you talking about Nalzen?” Brittny asks innocently.

“You know what I’m talking about! And what are you doing here by the way? Just to cook food and cookies for Aaron? Or do you have a hidden motive?” I ask disgustingly.

“What?!” She shockingly asks but I want to punch her face!

“Stop it Nalzen! I don’t know what to do. But you can’t speak to them that way!” Aaron raises his voice in me and I feel pain.

It’s like a hammer smashing my heart into pieces!

“Fine, They are your FAMILY! I forgot. But what’s the use of these balloons?” I ask and remove all the balloons that I decorated on the wall.

“What are you looking at? Help me remove all of these!” I shouted and the maids follow me.

I throw away the balloons in front of Aaron and his Mom.

“This will be supposed a happy celebration but you ruin it all! You want me to leave? Fine, I don’t like to stay in this bullshit house even for a minute! You are All toxic for my baby!” I said and went up.

I will leave this house for my peace of mind and the safety of my baby!

“Baby?” His Mom asks surprised.

“Are you pregnant Wifey?” Aaron asks.

“There’s no use in telling you. You will make me bad and won’t believe in me. I don’t want a man like you!” I said out of anger and leave them in shock.

I pack all of my clothes and went down. They are all sitting on the sofa with serious looks.

I didn’t mind them and continued to walk but his mother block my way.

“Nalzen, I’m sorry. It’s just a prank.” She said smiling.

Her facial expression is kind of unlike before.

And what she’s saying?

She’s playing!

“A prank? I’m sorry but your prank is way too much to handle!” I said and continue to walk.

“I’m sorry, I just want to test your patience and your love for Aaron.” His Mom said and I stop walking.

I lost because I lose my patience!

But I don’t care. If life for her is just a game and prank then she can play all she wants!

“Fine but as you see. My patience is short! And I’m leaving for good!” I said and carry my luggage.

This time I walk without stopping until I reach out the gate and Aaron pulls me towards him.

But my decision is final. I don’t want to live with his mother!

I’m going crazy if I will be living with her.

“I’m sorry too, Aaron. I can’t live with your childish mother!” I answer.

“I don’t know why she came up with this hilarious prank on her. But believe me, she is kind. Don’t leave me wifey.” He begs.

I took a deep breath. I don’t want to stay in this house!

I want a peaceful day. Just one day!

“I’m not blaming you but these days I’m very moody and keep on changing my mood. I’m craving some food and I’m always angry. Maybe, it’s on me but I’m not happy with your Mom’s prank! Not at all! Can you leave me alone and let me cool down?” I asked.

Hopefully, he will understand my situation.

Aaron touches my tummy and kisses it.

“Okay, for the sake of our baby. But-” He said hanging.

“But what?” I ask confused.

“We will be living together. You are my wife and I don’t want to be apart from you.” He said sincerely while looking into my eyes intensely.

“Okay, but I’m leaving now Aaron. Will you leave your Mom in here?” I ask you to confirm.

“Yeah, let them live in here while we live our own to avoid misunderstanding. But- could you give her a chance? She’s kind wifey. Please?” He begs with his puffy eyes while pouting his lips.

“Fine! I know that you love your Mom. Just let me cool down first and we will talk again about this.” I said.

“Sure, let’s go!” He said happily.

Her Mom and Brittny went out and call me.

“I’ll be waiting Nalzen, I’m sorry for my prank.” She said sincerely.

I just nod my head and walk outside the gate while waiting for Aaron.

I’m still angry and I’m just a human. I’m not perfect but I know that there’s a time for everything to talk with his Mom.

I don’t know why she came up with this prank thingy!

But I know deep within me that everything will be fine soon…
