Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Lauren sat on the edge of the bed and when she heard what Sally said, she raised her head and
asked, looking at Darren on the
sofa, “Is it because you don’t want to go abroad?”
How did she know? Sally was surprised and so was Darren.
After a while, Sally came back to her senses and she had to say, “Lauren, Darren will be very lonely if
he goes abroad. I know
you also care about him and don’t want him to go abroad, right?”
Lauren didn’t say anything and just stared at a place. From NôvelDrama.Org.
Sally continued, “Moreover, It is because of you that Darren has to be sent abroad by Jeffery. As long
as you tell Jeffery that you
forgive Darren, he will not have to go abroad.”
“Don’t beg her!” Darren couldn’t allow Sally to be so humble in front of Lauren.
“Darren!” Sally whispered, “Do you want to go abroad?”
Darren frowned, and his tone was contemptuous, “I don’t but I don’t want you to beg her.”
Sally patted Darren’s hand, and then turned her head to look at Lauren, saying with a smile, “He is still
young, so I hope you can
forgive him.”
Lauren finally began to look at them and said, “Since you don’t want to beg me so why do you come?”
Sally and Darren had nothing to say.
Sally smiled. She rarely smiled, but as long as she smiled, she was like a flower blooming. Sally said,
“Do you think you can ask me to do anything? Is it my fault? Should I be sorry to you?”
“I just returned to the Bennett family and I am not close to you now so you think I will definitely do what
you tell me.”
“In this family, I have no power to make any decision. Grandpa was the one who can make the final
decision. Jeffery would not say no to Grandpa. You can also go to beg Mr. Bennett and Mrs. Bennett to
help you.”
“If you don’t want to turn to Grandpa or your parents, you two can go to see Jeffery yourselves since he
is your elder brother. You can cry and beg, and swear that you will never make the same mistake in the
future. Then Jeffery might forgive Darren.”
“There are so many things you can do,” Lauren sighed, and then asked, “Why do you ask me for help?
There is nothing I could do to you, actually,” Lauren said calmly and coldly.
“Is it because you two think that I am weak and I will do anything you tell me?” Lauren said.
“If I don’t do it, I think you are going to criticize me of being cold and indifferent; If I do that for you, you
will think I am
supposed to do that, right?”
“That’s so smart! Who came up with this idea?” Lauren asked and looked at Sally and Darren.
Sally immediately became embarrassed. Darren didn’t like Lauren at all so he would never apologize to
her.
Darren said to Lauren in anger and arrogance, “I just want to know whether you are going to help me.
Just tell me that.”
Lauren raised her head and glanced at him coldly. She didn’t care how angry Darren was because that
was none of her business. Darren was irritable in his heart and he could no longer suppress the anger
so he raised his foot and kicked the small table in
front of him.
Bang! The wooden table was kicked to pieces by Darren!
