Chapter 11
Chapter 11
But the man didn’t give up and sneered, “How do you know that it was just stomach pain for Sally? Are
you a doctor?”
Lauren glanced at him and said, “Are you a doctor? Then tell me what it was.”
The man froze and didn’t know what to say. He knew nothing about Sally’s pain and he just want to
criticize Lauren.
The man snorted, “I’m not a doctor so I don’t know. But I won’t talk nonsense like you did.”
“How do you know I was talking nonsense?” Lauren rolled her eyes, saying slowly but firmly.
The man actually wanted to give up talking about this anymore but he didn’t want to lose face so he
said, “I am sure that you were talking nonsense. You said it was just stomach pain, but can you prove
it?”
Lauren nodded, “Yes.”
“Prove it,” the man insisted.
Lauren suddenly smiled, which made her more charming. She said in a playful voice, “Are you sure you
want me to prove it?” From the beginning to now, Lauren had been indifferent so everyone was
accustomed to her cold face. When they saw her smile now, they were, shocked by her beauty. Her
face and her smile were very impressive.
The man also felt she was attractive so he didn’t want to cause trouble for her and decided to end this
topic. At this moment, Lauren said, “You fear coldness and always feel fatigued. You have a bad
kidney, sir.” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
All of the sudden, the man’s face turned extremely red. Other people also laughed at the man.
The man intmediately became angry and yelled at Lauren, “What are you talking about?”
Lauren pretended to be innocent and said, “You asked me to prove it.”
Jeffery, who was standing on the side, watched Lauren showing naughtiness and his heart softened.
He took a step to stop the man and said, “You are in the Bennett family, remember that.”
As soon as Jeffery spoke, the man immediately calmed down. This was not the occasion for him to yell.
Jeffery looked around and took out his phone.
Jeffery called the hospital where the Bennett family members frequently go. Sally must be sent there.
The director of the hospital answered the phone and explained Sally’s situation to Jeffery.
“Wait a minute,” Jeffery turned on the speaker, and then said, “Go ahead please.”
At first, the director was a little confused and then he said, “Sally is alright and it is just the stomach
pain caused by pressure. After taking the medicine, she is much better now.”
What Lauren said was true!
But most of them did not think it was because of Lauren’s great medical skills, they just thought that
Lauren cared much about Sally so she knew that Sally had stomach pain.
At this time, Mr. Bennett senior stepped forward and said, “Sally and Lauren are close to each other.
Lauren cares about Sally very much. Okay, let’s keep this party going!”
Mr. Bennett was finally relieved, thinking that if there was no suitable man, he would ask Jeffery to
dance with Lauren. A young voice came, “Are you still going to dance?”
It was a child’s voice! Everyone was surprised and they looked at the boy. They saw a little boy walking
from the crowd who was too beautiful to describe. With curly hair, he wore a well–fitting suit with a
small bow tie on his neck. Someone recognized him and exclaimed!
“He is the son of Charlie Frank!”
