His Possessive BedSlave

CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

I strolled out of the emergency room while waiting for the doctor to come out. I called Dylan too and he said he was coming. I am nervous and wanted to go into the ER to find out what was going on inside. Every step I take I feel an hour has passed. My heart beats so fast in fear.

“What happened?” Dylan asked breathlessly followed by Dane.

“She’s bleeding.”

“What did you do?” he asked while looking badly at me.

“Dylan, you’re judgmental,” Dane scolded. “Zeus, what happened?”

“We meet in the mall and just went to the parking lot together. She was about to leave but I notice she stopped and writhed in stomach pain. When I approached, she was bleeding.”

“Are you sure you didn’t do anything?” Dylan’s reassuring question.

“Fuck, Dylan, am I that stupid to make something that I know she’s pregnant?”

“Good, or else you will regret it.”

“Stopped, Dylan. Hasn’t the doctor come out yet?” Dane asked.

“Not yet.” I was surprised when Dylan handed me a handkerchief. “What is this?”

“Wipe your forehead. Drink some water too and you’ll turn pale.” He calmed down and then sat down. How did he manage to calm down when the mother of his child, bleeds? Isn’t he worried about his child?

Fuck, I hope nothing bad happened to the baby and I’ll really take Yara whether she likes it or not. I will give her a child on my own if that is what she wants. But I hope — I hope nothing happens to her baby. Even though I want to get her to Dylan I still don’t want anything to happen to her baby.

“Zeus,” Dane called to me so I looked at her. “Can you sit down? I feel dizzy seeing you walking here and there.” How do I sit if my knees are shaking? The emergency room opened and a doctor came out.

“Father of the baby?” he asked. I looked at Dylan who was staring at me and didn’t move.

“What?” he asked. I don’t know if he was confused so he couldn’t answer the doctor. Well, I can’t blame you, cause even I, I am nervous, too.

“Doc, how’s the patient and the baby?” it was Dane who asked because Dylan didn’t really stand up.

“They’re both ok.” It was as if a thorn had been pulled out of my throat. I gasp and sighed in relief thanking God that they are both safe.

“What happened to her?” I ask. Dylan still wouldn’t get up and just let us. I understood him if he was scared. Even me is not feeling ok, though it wasn’t my child. I’m as nervous as him, what more of him that he is the father?

“Stress, maybe this fast weeks or days the mommy is stressed so that happened. I suggest making her calm and relaxed. Don’t give her anything to think about especially since she is still in the trimester period.”

“All right, thanks,” Dane replied.

“I’m going to move her to the bedroom. She has to stay here until tomorrow to be monitored as well as the baby. When it’s really ok she can go out. As of now, we gave her sleeping pills to calm her down. Four hours If she doesn’t wake up four hours from now, wake her up.” I look at the watch it’s 1:40 PM.

“All right, please just move her to the executive room,” Dane suggested.

“Can I stay?” I asked Dylan. “I brought her here so is it ok that before I go home I can make sure he’s ok? I mean until she wakes up.” Honestly, I don’t need his opinion. But for respect, I need to ask him.

“Ok. Stay anytime you want.”

After a while, Yara came out on the stretcher sleeping peacefully. We followed her while pushed by the nurse on the stretcher. When she entered the room Dylan and Dane followed as I was left outside. Moments later the nurse came out and left. The door opened and Dylan peeked out.

“What did you do there?” he asked, frowning. “You said you’d stay until you knew she was ok?”

“Yeah but–”

“Come in here and you look like a fool out there. Feeling neglected.” I went in and I sat next to Dane.

“Dane, thank you for coming but you can leave,” Dylan shooed his sister away and even Dane frowned.

“What?”

“I know you’re busy so can leave.” Dane looked at me and then at Dylan. “Don’t worry Zeus and I won’t fight here. Go ahead and get out you’re slow.”

“Zeus,” Dane called to me.

“Huh?”

“Don’t talk to him and he’s still pressured by what happened to Yara. You know, instinct.”

“Are you sure you will stay here with Dylan?” Dane asked me but I didn’t answer.

“With Yara, Dane, not with me. He brought Yara so he has an obligation and has the right to stay.” He scratched his head as if squirming. “TSS, I don’t know why you’re too slow, Dane.”

“Ok, ok, ok, I’ll leave.” Dane picked up the bag and then stood up. “Gotta go, Zeus. Hey Dylan, behave, fucker.”

“I know, sister fucker.”

When Dane got out Dylan stood up and took some water then handed it to me.

“Oh, you might faint here and you even take Yara’s place.”

“Thank you.” Whore, why do I seem to be a robot all of a sudden and I seem to understand nothing but yes or no. “Aren’t you afraid of what happened to the mother of your child?” That’s all I could say when I reached the water.

“Yara is brave so I know her baby is brave too — I mean, our baby.” I sighed and leaned over.

“I was nervous when I saw her bleed. Maybe because that was the first time I saw a pregnant woman bleed.” That fear is still here and I don’t know why.

“You have reason to be nervous.”

“Huh, what do you mean?”

“You’re there, of course, if something happens to them you’re a suspect. Then you’re her ex.” I don’t care if I get blamed for what happens to them. The fear was that something would happen to her baby and I did nothing.

Dylan and I are no longer talking. He was busy on his cellphone while I just looked at Yara. I wanted to stand up and caress her but I couldn’t because Dylan was there. I don’t want him to think that I’m cheating on his child’s mother, that after all, is really mine.

“Since you’re totally want to stay, don’t you? Did you hear the doctor say? 4hrs she needs to wake up. So it’s about 5:40 to wake up.”

“Where do you go?” I asked when he stood up.

“I’ll go for a smoke and I’ll call a friend that I might be late.” He came out and left me. Am I paranoid that he meant to leave us? But why? To make me look like I really have no hope for Yara. To make the most of being with her because they really are? I looked at the clock. It’s 5:39 PM so I approached Yara.

“Yara, Yara.” I lightly pat her cheek. “B-baby.” I caressed her cheek as I gasped.

“Baby, wake up.” But her shoulder just moved so I took the chair and placed it on the side of the bed. I caressed her arm and held her hand. “Yara, baby, you need to wake up.”

“Hmph.” She moved slowly and opened her eyes. “Zeus?”

“Yeah, it’s me.”

“Zeus, how’s my baby?”

“Shh! Relax, your baby is fine,”

“Oh, thank God, thank, God.” I saw the edge of her tears. “Thank you for saving my baby Zeus. If you weren’t there I don’t know what will gonna happen.”

“It’s ok.”

“Why are you the only one here?”

“Dylan’s here too. He goes out and calls someone.” She nodded in response. “Yara, I’m sorry for everything.”This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Zeus?”

“I’m sorry for sorry causing you pain and disappointment. And I just want to say that you and you’re baby are both strong.”

“Yeah, thanks.”

“Yara.”

“Yes?”

“Can I hug you, baby?”

“Zeus?”

“I understand, I accept that I can’t be with you. But, I want to hug for the last time, a farewell hug.” She nodded to agree so I stood up.

I hugged her tight and feel her last embrace. Even though she was having a hard time because of the dextrose she also hugged me back. I kissed her on the forehead and confessed our foreheads.

“Zeus?” ‘Can I take you back, Yara? Can I have you again? Can I be the father of your baby? Why did you go to a Dy? To a Dy who is a difficult opponent because he is influential. ‘ “Zeus?”

I kiss her softly while closing my eyes. Our last kiss and fuck! Thinking that this is our last and I can’t do it to her again is like I am being stabbed in the heart.

“Goodbye, Yara, please be happy.” And I leave the room to call a nurse who will watch over her while Dylan wasn’t there. Just as I opened the door Dylan was outside standing while leaning against the wall and smashing. “You’re already there. Yara is awake and I’m leaving.”

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Yes,”

“Ok.” I turned around and ignored him but I could not escape hearing what he said. “He’s really weak amongst his friends. Easy to let go of this fucking loverboy.” When I looked at him he was already inside.
