I want to throw something on Jace who has been smiling since earlier. The twins are baptized today and we are here on the veranda of my newly purchased house. I bought a house to make my family comfortable. The condo is too high and closed. I like the beautiful view they see when waking up plus the fresh air. I want Yara and the twins comfortable.

“What’s wrong with you, sucker?” But instead of answering, he laughed out loud.

“Hey!” Blaze kicked him because they were sitting just side by side.

“You had the courage to bully me when I fell in love with Margot. You even said that it won’t happen that you will fall in love. But the way when Yara woke up, it’s like you’re a child who was snatched by candy. You thought I forgot that!” He laughed even harder and the two of them followed.

“Yeah, he laughed at us when we admitted that we love our wives,” Phoenix said.

“He even called us in-denial,” Blaze added.

“Tss!” The only word I said accompanied them again with laughter. We are the only ones here because the women are on the other side. Dane is also with them because they are planning a business that they want to open.

“Wazzap, weaklings!”

“Oh, wazzup, how are you, Dylan?”

“I’m good, Jace. Where are my new minions?”

“What minions?” Blaze asked.

“Minion of the handsome godfather Dylan,” he replied. “How are you, Zeus?” he asked me.

“Fine.”

“We’re close now huh! Who would’ve thought? It’s like yesterday I am the father of Thunder and Lightning but suddenly re-incarnated Thunder and Lightning to be your child. They really don’t want more handsome.”

“Stupid!” I shouted but he just laughed.

“Why weren’t you at church earlier, Dylan?” Jace asked.

“Are you still slow Jace? From three birds to Joker, to Juicy you’re not used that I wasn’t there?”

“Yeah you might get on fire, but you went to Maggie’s wedding?” We looked at Dylan because of what Jace said.

“Stupid, Baptism for those angels because they are innocent and I am not allowed there. Marriage for those with dirty minds because after marriage there is a honeymoon so I can go there.”

“Tss, a lot of nonsense,” Phoenix said.

“Exactly! So I know you don’t know what I’m saying because your brain is weak.”

“What are you doing here? You’ve already given your gift to the twins, haven’t you?” Blaze asked.

“I’ll eat. Why I am not allowed? Zeus —” He raised his eyebrows like crazy as he looked at me.

“You have a problem?” I asked him with a frown.

“I’m happy for you, loverboy. You’re open to your feelings now for Yara.” I feel the sincerity in his voice especially when he touches my shoulder.

“You, when will you find yours? You can find someone who will make you happy like us.” He just smiled then stood up and got a beer.

“I’m happy with alcohol, drugs, and different women.” He drinks and eats at the same time.

“I said that before, Dylan, but who would have thought that you would see me like a fool crying and in front of everyone.”

“Why, are you sure I didn’t cry because of a woman?” He looked at me seriously so I also stared at his face. “I have a heart that throbs when having fun, Zeus.” Fuck, why does Dylan seem so serious now? He is not the usual Dylan that I know.

“I’m sorry I mean dicky who throbs.” Then he laughed out loud. “Don’t take it seriously, Zeus. You’re a priceless reaction. It’s a pity I didn’t take a picture of it.” And he taught got even louder.

“You’re an asshole.”

“But it’s true what I said that I am happy for both of you. I hope you all will be happy.”

“Where are you going?” I asked when I saw him stand up. It’s not that I care where he goes. He will just arrive but it looks like he will leave soon.

“Go home,” he replied

“You’re just coming?”

“Why? I want to go home. Where are my ex-sweetheart I will say hello first.”

“You’re crazy Dylan. I’m going to attack you.” But he just laughed and left.

“Ok, you’re easy to get jealous of. Where’re the two tragedies?”

“What tragedy?”

“Your children. When thunder and lightning come together, it’s a tragedy.”

“Stupid!”

“Where are they?”

“In the bedroom. You already know where.”

“Ok.” And he went to the twins’ room.

“Who would think that animal has a big role in our life.” I caught a glimpse of Blaze staring at Dylan walking to get to the twins.

“Indeed,” Jace seconded. “You think he won’t have a loved one?”

“I think no, he doesn’t know how to be serious,” Phoenix replied.

“But you remember when Dane said that Dylan was supposed to get married when he was eighteen. Do you remember that? Dane said he was crazy because he wanted to get married? But his daddy stop him because he was young then.”

We thought about what Blaze had said. We seem to remember that but it doesn’t seem to be true. We also don’t care about him and Dane was just blabbering on but we didn’t pay much attention to her.

“Ah, they’re adopted that suddenly disappeared. The one from the orphanage?”

“Shoot, that it Jace!” Blaze shouted.

“It’s just like Dane’s joking on us. She only tells us a story when we’re on vacation. But I read in the idiot’s yearbook that he seems to love someone.”

“What yearbook?” Phoenix asked.

“Margot and he are in the same class and there’s a motto and whatnot. If you read it, it looks like Dylan is going through something. But in the end, it’s just pure nonsense.”

“They say sometimes the joke is half true,” Blaze said and looked at us. “The one that will talk jokingly wants to tell a half-truth.”

“Agree,” Phoenix and Jace said at the same time.

“You know what, let’s just leave Dylan. Let’s just ignore him. He’s the only one who knows about his life,” I said and drank but I couldn’t help but look at Dylan holding Thunder who was talking while my son while staring at him.

“Hmph, Zeus is right. But he helped us a lot, but we can’t do anything for him. We can’t even return him the favor because we don’t know how,” Jace said and looked at Dylan.

“I guess we should love our wife and our kids are enough to show him that his effort was not wasted.” Blaze said and look at us.

“Agree,” we said. Honestly, I didn’t really care about Dylan back then. We are not friends with him nor close. Not until he started interfering in our life. And those vague words of his. I know it all has content.
