His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0012

If Amara's slap was meant to be an action directed towards snapping Tobias back into the right frame of mind, or perhaps a warning, neither of it was working. Rather, it was having the opposite effect.

With his cheek stinging, red and bruised from the force Amara had hit him with, Tobias glared at her. The anger he was feeling towards her was indescribable and evident in his eyes.

From the moment he had set foot in Sherativinor, the moment he had caught sight of her happily reuniting with that blonde guy, the moment her had heard her talk so freely and intimately with the stranger, his heart had tightened and he could feel himself boiling. How could did she have the nerves to cheat on him after claiming to love him for years? Was it all an act?

Of course it was, he knew this from the very first day Amara confessed her love, so why did he feel so angry?

And even more, why was he acting so irrationally and not thinking things through, as usual?

These questions and more plagued his mind, clouding his judgment and before he knew it, his hands were already reaching out, grabbing Amara's wrist and pulling her towards him, lips crushing onto hers once again.

Except this time around, he did not stop at a mere kiss. His hand travelled down, working their way in undoing the buttons of her shirt, exposing the lace white bra she was wearing.

"Are you that desperate to sell your body?" He hissed, breaking the kiss and his gaze met hers. "That eager to get money to find your life after the divorce? Is that why you don't hesitate to have a sugar daddy? Fine," With one hand, he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a black card, tossing it beside her. "Two billion a night. That's the best offer you can get."

He leaned down and captured her lips again, forcing her mouth open with his tongue. His other hand slid underneath the shirt, groping her breast and giving it a rough squeeze.

Amara, who was currently under him, could feel herself losing all control and before long, she truly snapped.

Tobias remembered being in the middle of stripping her shirt when pain suddenly exploded on his right shoulder and Amara shoved him away.

Only after examining his shoulder briefly did he realize that she had bit him. Hard.

"Can you be any less full of yourself, Tobias?" The venom in her words as she spoke had him lifting his gaze, meeting the anger filled one of his wife. "What makes you think I'd ever take money from you?" She scoffed and picked up the black card, tossing it back at him. "I'd much rather die than do something so disgusting."

"But you'd much rather sell your body to other men?" His voice was low and cold, devoid of any remorse towards what he had just done.

Not that Amara needed his remorse. "That's none of your business Tobias." Fixing her dress and wiping her lips, she turned to him once more. "I don't stick my nose in you and Celestine's now do I? I suggest you don't do the same, else, that little mistress of yours, her modeling career's gonna suffer for it."

For the first time in forever, Tobias found himself flinching under Amara's gaze. The determination in her eyes as she spoke rendered him speechless.

"What do you want, Amara?"

"A divorce." Her answer was simple and straight to the point, no beating around the bush. "Sign the papers and our marriage will be over. Then, you'll be free to continue your play with your little mistress, while I move on with my life. That's what I really want." Turning around, she banged her fist against the window and before long, the door opened from the other side, Dean having unlocked it.

She climbed out, but before closing the door behind her, she turned to Tobias once more."Toby, you don't need to worry that I have any ulterior motives. I believe your lawyer has already thoroughly examined the divorce agreement I gave you. There won't be any issues." After saying that, she left, leaving Tobias alone.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

The conversation with Amara had left Tobias feeling a bit frazzled in the head.

He wasn't sure how, but after their rather heated conversation, he ended up finding his way home.

But the moment he stepped into the familiar abode of his home, everything didn't seem so familiar anymore.

The beige colored couches, flower printed vases, coffee tables and rugs all seemed to be in the same place. But somehow, something felt off.

What was it?

Tobias being a man who always fared well in familiar abodes, couldn't help but rack hos brain as he called up the stairs and went into this room, trying to find out what was missing.

It took him a second, but as soon as his eyes laid upon the open and empty wardrobe, his entire body froze.

This was it. This was what was wrong.

The room...no, the entire house was void of Amara's presence.

Because she had moved out.
