His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 3166

"All right, I'm on my way," Lucas said.

Ivy hung up the phone in relief.

A little while later, Hayden and Shelly arrived at the hotel.

Ivy immediately greeted them with a smile. "Hayden, Shelly. Did you enjoy your honeymoon?"

"We had a great time! We didn't check any travel guides for Taronia, though, so you'll have to be our guide!" Shelly said.

Ivy scratched her head. "I haven't been around Taronia either. I'll ask Lucas when he arrives. You should go check in first. I'll wait here for Lucas. He should be here soon."

Just then, Ivy looked toward the hotel entrance and saw Lucas walking in. Excitedly, she called out, "Lucas!"

Lucas quickened his pace and approached them.

Hayden went to the front desk to check in while Shelly and Ivy stood together, waiting for Lucas.

Lucas walked up to them, and Ivy immediately introduced Shelly to him. "Lucas, this is my sister-in-law."

Lucas greeted politely, "Hello."

Shelly could not help but chuckle. "Just call me by my name, as Ivy does. Ivy said you used to take good care of her, which means you're kind. Don't worry. My husband won't give you a hard time."

Hayden approached them with the room key, and Ivy introduced Lucas to him, saying, "Lucas, this is my big brother. You can call him 'big brother,' too!"

Lucas blushed slightly. "Big brother."

Hayden observed Lucas' embarrassed expression and teased, "Why so shy?"

Ivy smiled awkwardly and explained, "He's not very good with social interactions. Hayden, you go ahead and put away your luggage. We'll meet you on the ground floor for dinner later. Lucas and I will wait for you downstairs."

Shelly linked her arm through Hayden's and said, "Sounds good! Let's go ahead and put our luggage away."

Lucas, feeling her touch, also reached up to touch his face.

"Your face is so red. Are you shy?" Ivy teased.

"I'm a little nervous," he admitted.

Ivy laughed. "Haha! Don't be! Look how nice my sister-in-law is! She's just an ordinary person, but no one in our family looks down on her. My big brother isn't as fierce as you imagined, right?"

Lucas agreed, "Indeed. He's different from what I imagined."

Ivy dragged Lucas to the restaurant. "What did you expect? Did you expect him to beat you up upon seeing you?"

"Not really. I haven't done anything to you, so he has no reason to beat me up," Lucas said.

"Hahaha!" Feeling her anxiety lessen, Ivy laughed.

Meanwhile, Shelly had received a call from Avery in her hotel room.

"Shelly, have you met up with Ivy?" Avery asked.

"Yeah! We met with Lucas as well," Shelly said.

Avery could not help but raise her voice. "What do you think of him?"

"Well... He is good-looking but a little too thin. He looks shy and isn't all that talkative, which makes him quite different from Ivy. Ivy is quite talkative, after all!"

"Oh. Shelly, you are quite attentive to details, so take your time the next two days to observe Lucas," Avery instructed.

"Sure! I will be sure to do that. How are Austin and Audrey?"

"They are doing great! Don't worry, and have fun!" Avery assured.
