Chapter 3021
"I'll hire another servant, then..." Hayden said.
"It's fine, Hayden. Shelly and I are relaxed enough. We actually feel uncomfortable if we don't have anything to do." Mrs. Taylor was currently quite content, and her only concern was her daughter's marriage. With her daughter's current state, she did not know what kind of man Shelly could find in the future.
Certainly, someone too inferior would not do, but she feared that men that were extremely capable might not be interested in Shelly.
"By the way, Hayden, did Shelly tell you that we want my husband and son to come and visit for a few days during the holidays in May? We haven't seen them since New Year's. My son can only visit during that time since he has been busy with his studies," Mrs. Taylor said. "My husband smokes, but if he comes, I will definitely make him smoke outside. I won't allow him to smoke indoors."
"Of course, no problem. As long as he doesn't smoke in front of the children," Hayden replied.
"He definitely won't smoke in front of the children. Even if I don't say anything, Shelly wouldn't allow it either. My husband knows his limits, if he wants to smoke, he'll go somewhere to do it discreetly," Mrs. Taylor assured.
"Well, then it's not a problem." Hayden's gaze fell on the two children.
After finishing the rice crackers, Aiden and Audrey had now begun playing with toys.
The toys belonged to Audrey, which Aiden had not played with before, so he found them quite fascinating.
Shortly after, Shelly brought over the cut fruits.
"You can use this fork! It's a new one." Shelly handed the fork to Hayden.
Hayden looked at the fork and was impressed by its delicate design.
"It was a gift from Courtney. After we moved, she gave us a set of luxurious cutlery," Shelly explained.
"If you want to invite friends over,
you don't have to ask for my permission. The same applies if you wantto invite family over as well," Hayden said.
"Oh..." Shelly was taken aback.
Mrs. Taylor smiled and said, "I just told Hayden about your dad and brother coming for the holiday."
"Oh!" Shelly blushed slightly. "Hayden, thank you!"
"It's nothing, there's no need to thank
me," Hayden had woken up early today and felt a bit tired, so© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
asked, "Is there a spare guestroom? I'll go lie down for a while."

"Yes, there is." Shelly immediately took him to the guest room.
Hayden lay down and slept for about an hour when his phone rang when Avery called.
Since it was the first time Hayden had taken Aiden out to play, Avery could not help but worry despite agreeing that it was a good idea.
Hayden grabbed his phone and headed downstairs, knowing that Avery was video-calling him and wanted to see both him and Aiden.
"Shelly, where is Aiden? My mom is calling!" Hayden asked when he spotted Shelly sitting by the coffee table and peeling the skin of some grapes.
"They are playing in the yard. My
mom said that it's sunny out there and took them outside." Shelly noticed that Hayden was in a hurry and immediately wiped her hands, before offering her help. "Why don't you answer the call? I will takt
Aunty Avery. She will probably feel more assured if she knows that you and Aiden are with me."
Hayden could not agree more but asked, "How will you explain the house?"
"Just hand me the phone. I will tell her that both you and Aiden are asleep. I will answer the call in the backyard."
