His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2997

"It's just a minor cold. He'll be fine in a few days." Hayden casually brushed her off.

"It's because I haven't been caring for him. If I'd visited him every week, I wouldn't have been unaware of his illness." Shelly blamed herself.

"He just got sick recently. You don't have to blame yourself."

"Yeah... Are you leaving now?" Shelly asked. "I've left the banquet hall. If you're leaving, I'll go home, too."Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

"I haven't left yet." Hayden thought for a moment and offered, "I'll give you a ride home!"

Shelly remembered what Eliam had said, so she agreed.

Although Hayden had not directly told her he liked her, he had told Eliam, and Eliam had told her, so she considered this to be an indirect confession from Hayden.

She could not contain her excitement and exhilaration, and that was when she realized why she had rejected Fergus and had not found other men appealing: it was because she liked Hayden. After knowing Hayden, how could she possibly be interested in other men?

She strode out of the hotel after exiting the elevator to find Hayden standing next to his car, waiting for her.

Under the streetlight, Hayden's tall figure appeared even more slender and upright.

When Shelly saw him, her ears instantly turned red.

She quickly walked over, and he opened the car door for her.

After the two entered the car, Hayden asked, "Where do you live?"

Shelly told him the name of her residential area. "Do you know how to get there?"

Hayden turned on his car's navigation system. "Is it the place where my brother delivered flowers to you before?"

"Yes."

"Now that your financial situation is

better, can't you find a nicer place to

live?" Although Hayden had not been to her place, he knew the area

consisted of rather old and rundown

houses.

"I still can't afford to buy a house. I'll move when I can afford one. Moving is quite troublesome." Shelly tightened her grip on the seatbelt, feeling a bit nervous.

"What's so troublesome about it? Hire a moving company, and you won't have to lift a finger." Hayden hoped that she could have a better living environment. "My mom wants to gift you a house. Why don't you accept?"

Shelly lowered her head. "It's a bit embarrassing."

"What's there to be embarrassed about? It's not like my mom will be impressed by you if you refuse to accept it Hayden's tone became

stern. "My mom doesn't just givet

away houses to anybody. If she

wants to give one to you, you should accept it. We have the money, and a house doesn't make a dent in our fortune."

Shelly nodded.

Shortly after, the car stopped outside the residential area where Shelly lived.

She thanked Hayden and got out of the car.

To her bewilderment, he got out of the car as well, and she started panicking at the thought that Hayden might want to see her apartment.

She would not be so frightened if Audrey had not been in the apartment because she liked Hayden.

"What's wrong? You don't want me to go to your place?" Hayden noted the panic on her face and scowled. "I just think that this area looks unsafe, so I wanted to walk you inside."
