His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2961

After all, compromises were required for the bettering of the business.

Shelly tensed for a few moments when she saw Hayden and forced a smile. "Hello, Mr. Tate. Aunty Avery told me that you are here to deliver the contract to me."

Hayden took out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed the one-paged contract to Shelly.

Shelly accepted it and noticed that Hayden had already signed it, so she only needed to add her signature.

"I will grab a pen from my office. Please wait," she said before heading back to her office.

Hayden was curious to see what her office looked like, so he followed her.

From his perspective, the cafe was extremely small, and he was amazed that there was an office in such a small area.

He followed Shelly curiously to her office and to his surprise, Courtney was there as well.

When the staff called out for Shelly, Courtney wanted to go outside as well, but she had not put on makeup that morning when she went to work, so she hesitated, not expecting Hayden to come into the office.

"Mr. Tate!" Courtney grinned from ear to ear when she saw Hayden. "I didn't know you were coming and didn't prepare anything."

She pulled a chair over and set it before Hayden. "Please take a seat!"

Hayden glanced at the chair and said coldly, "No, thank you. I will be leaving soon."

"Mr. Tate, since you are already here, why don't you have a taste of our latest cakes? I can pack it up for you to take away!" Courtney suggested enthusiastically. "I admire you so much! Can I get a photo with you? I would love to have your autograph!"

Shelly was so embarrassed that she could barely hold onto her pen.

Hayden was about to refuse the request but decided against it when he recalled what Avery said earlier that morning.

"Who are you to Shelly?" he asked.

"I'm her best friend and business

partner!" Courtney knew that Hayden

was only at the cafe because of

Shelly and immediately dragged

Shelly over. "Why don't all three of us take a photo together?"Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Hayden did not want to take a picture with Courtney and saw this as a compromise. Courtney immediately went to ask for the staff's help.

In the office, Shelly handed the signed contract to Hayden. Silence loomed over them, and she awkwardly tried to initiate a conversation. "Your writing looks quite elegant."

"That's my mom's writing."

Shelly chuckled. "Really? Hahaha! Did she make you buy cakes from us?"

"No. My mom is paying, so she isn't making me do anything," he said.

Just then, Courtney returned with a staff member. She originally wanted to take the photo with her phone but decided to use Shelly's phone after all. "Shelly, let's use your phone! Once we are done with the photo, you can send it to Mr. Tate

Courtney, too, wanted Hayden and Shelly to be together.

Unable to argue with Courtney, Shelly unlocked her phone, and it was at that very moment that she recalled that she used the photo of her twins as her lock screen.
