His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2950

"Sure! How did it go today? You can't even bake! It's a shame that you are the only one who can get into the Foster family's house." Courtney entered the baking area alongside Shelly.

"I can't bake, but I have a great memory! The teacher was attentive, so I remember every single step!" Shelly put on an apron and started washing her hands.

"I didn't expect the owner of such a successful business to be so open to teaching others how to bake!" Courtney said. "I envy the Fosters' lifestyle. Whatever they want, they can have it delivered to their doorsteps."

"That's not true! We went outside for lunch today at a restaurant near their place." Shelly meant to express that even extremely wealthy people were ordinary in some way.

Everyone, with the exception of Hayden, had been kind to her.

"Have you met Elliot Foster?" Courtney asked.

"I have. I met every member of the family," Shelly said. "They are all so good-looking and have a majestic air about them. They are the kind of people who would look rich even if they wore a rug." "What about me?" Courtney could not picture it and asked.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"How am I supposed to answer that question?" Shelly retorted as she could not simply say that Courtney did not have the same demeanor as the Fosters.

"Haha! I already know your answer. I am just curious as to what rich people look like. Naturally, I can't rival them." Courtney was not at all offended. "It would be great if you could marry into their family. That way, I would have a rich best friend to take care of me."

"Dream on. Let's just focus on our careers and strive to get rich on our own." Shelly took out all the ingredients she needed. "I think that's better than marrying into a wealthy family. If I'm not capable in my own way, marrying into a wealthy family would make me feel like a lesser woman, so I want to make money on my own."

"Have you ever considered how

money can solve ninety-nine percent of your problems? The women who married into wealthy families are having a blast right now. Everyone feels lesser at some point in their lives. Even if it's not because of a husband, they may feel that way because of a friend, relative, or their children, right? What's so bad about swallowing your pride if you can benefit from it?"

Shelly considered her words seriously and said, "Honestly, don't you think I want to marry a man as handsome and wealthy as Hayden Tate? The main point here is that he doesn't want to marry me.

Courtney burst out laughing. "Here I thought you don't feel anything for him!"

"I wouldn't get pregnant with his kids if I really didn't feel anything for him. I like handsome guys as well, okay?" Shelly could not help but blush.

"Shelly, even if you stop working, you

won't have to worry about money for the rest of your life. I looked it up last night, and even without his family, Hayden Tate is worth a tremendous amount of money. Your son is going to inherit a great fortune in the future, and you just need to make sure you build a good relationship with your son. If I was you, I would send Audrey to them as well, so that she would be entitled to her share of the inheritance."

Shelly saw the wisdom in Courtney's words.

The Foster Family was generous and kind, so there was no doubt that they would treat Audrey kindly as well.

Though Hayden was far too busy to care for his children, his parents had all the time in the world. However, Shelly could not bring herself to give up both her children.

"I will raise Audrey for now!" Shelly said. "My mom loves Audrey, and if she is willing to take care of Audrey, I can't say that I'm struggling."

"I understand how you feel. It would be cruel to ask that you give up both your children, so keep Audrey! Our careers will take off soon, and she is going to lead a great life as well." "I think so, too."

A month and a half later, New Year's approached, but Shelly did not plan on returning to her hometown.
