His Deceptress Wife

What happened that night has not been repeated. I don’t want her to say that I am abusing her, especially that I got her virginity. I don’t want her to use her body on me to manipulate me. But, honestly, inevitably, I won’t be tempted and it’s hard to hold back my lust every time she’s near. As I said, she’s a fucking goddess and I even proved that when I saw her body fully naked.

It’s been a month since we’re married. She played the role of a wife. She knows a lot about housework and I admit that all of my accusations against her are wrong. But I know that I will be right when the day comes. I should have to wait, I can prove it to them.

Aside from doing the household chores she also does her hobby. To paint and carve and I didn’t stop her. She even gives my friends some of her works. I was about to go to work when I saw her outside my room holding a tumbler.

“What are you doing there?” She didn’t answer instead, she handed me the tumbler. She used to be like this when I left late. She always prepares something that I can bring and eat on my way to the office.

“I want to give you something also.” I frown because of what she said.

“Hurry up and I am late.”

“There?” She pointed to something that looked like a large picture frame wrapped.

“What is that?”

“I would like to give you a gift.”

“Why?” She did not respond so I walked over the frame and disassembled the wrap. It is about one meter by one meter. I was amazed at the beauty of the painting. A phoenix that about to fly and the color is nice. It is amazing to look at and even if you put it everywhere the paintings will be overshadowed by their beauty.

“Did you do that?” I asked and she nods.

“Yes,” I stared at the painting and I admitted that it is amazing.

“Keep it there, I don’t want my companions to see that. Find somewhere to display that.” I didn’t wait for her to answer and left. Is she trying to bribe me using her paint and anything? Damn! She will never succeed.

When I arrived at the office I caught up with four there. There is some food and drinks on my mini table.

“What happened?” I asked them when I could go in completely.

“Happy Monthsarry!” Dane and Jace shout while the two are silent. Dane glared at them so they shouted also a happy monthsarry.

“Monthsarry?” I wondered.

“Tss, we do a lot of effort yet you did not appreciate it?” Jace complained.

“This is Dane and Jace’s ideas, sucker.” Zeus frowned.

“We have no choice, man” Blaze holds a bottle.

“Today is your first month of the wedding.” Fortunately, there is a woman in the group. Someone sensible to talk to. But what? Wedding what?

“See his brain’s hangs.”

“Shut up, Jace!” He’s not fucking helping. “Besides, why do I care? Go out and I am busy.” But they just laughed and enjoyed what they are doing.

They ate and drank in my office. Good thing that I wasn’t expecting any visitors. They laughed and talked nonsense.

“Do I need to give her a present?”

“Probably, for sure Hailey has a gift for you so you also have a gift for her.”

“Did you mention her name, Dane?” She stopped drinking and looked at me.

“Why? Something wrong with that? Her name is Hailey, so I can call her by that name.”

“So, you’re friends now?” I asked in annoyance.

“C’mon, Phoenix, she’s not your enemy. Why are you in denial of your feelings?”

“What are you talking about, Dane?”

“Nothing,”

“Dane said that you are in love with your wife, sucker.”

“What! Seriously, Dane?” She just shrugged and drank the wine. “Tss, don’t you have any meetings?”

“Dane canceled it for this occasion,” Blaze said.

“Dane insists you’re in love with Hailey.”

“Wait, Jace, and you also? Mentioning that woman’s name?”

“You’re jealous bro?”

“Fuck you,”

“Seriously sucker, it hurts to admit because you’re our friend but I guess Dane is right.” I looked at Zeus.

“Right what?”

“That you’re in love with your wife, over and over, man?” I also looked at Blaze.

“And you believe in Dane?” The three of them looked at each other before Jace answered.

“You’ll cry when we answer you.”

“Damn, you’re being silly, Dane, you know those idiots believe when you talk nonsense.”

“That’s not nonsense, that’s a fact,” she replied.

“Honestly ‘bro, whether we accept it or not, Dane knows how to read people, Dane didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, and it didn’t come true. And you know that.”

“Well, now she’s wrong. I’m not in love with that woman.”

“You said so,” Dane simply replied. I looked at them ignoring me. I looked at Dane who was just smiling.

“How did you say I’m in love with that woman?”

“Why are you curious?” Dane asked. The three laughed and even Blaze, who rarely laughed. Amongst all, laughed out loud.

“Because I don’t believe what you’re saying.”

“Then don’t ask.” I think of that woman. Has she done something with my friends? Is she just taking everything from me? Just everything around me she wants? She’s good at being silly and now it looks like even my friends like her.

Did she give me a gift earlier because of that monthsarry? What do I care about that? Did she also expect me to give her a gift or did she expect me to remember?

I looked at Dane who was looking at me with a wry smile. I want to ask her what’s with her smile but I choose to remain quiet. There is also no definite answer to that.

“Do you have something to do, later?” She asked us.

“Me, nothing.”

“Nothing.”

“No.

They answer simultaneously.

“You, Phoenix?” she asked me.

Do I have something to do? I don’t remember and if she’s going to invite me I am free. But what about that woman? No one with her. It’s still my fault when there’s an emergency and I’m not there. I’ll still be damned to grandpa.

“Phoenix?” she asked again.

“No, but I need to go home early, I have something to finish.”

“Again?” simultaneous question of three but Dane gives me a stupid smile.

“Come on guys, he’s married and today is their monthsarry. Isn’t it, Phoenix?”

“Shut up, Dane.” The animals even laughed because of what Dane said.

TIME PASS and it’s already time to go home. We did nothing all day in the office. We are all tipsy. As Blaze said, Dane, canceled our schedule today. If I only knew, I wouldn’t have come in and I would have just stayed at home even though I had nothing to make.

“Oh, where are you going?” Dane asked laughingly when she saw me take my key.

“Home, it’s time to go home and we didn’t do anything but drinking.”

“When did you go home first?” I looked at her who was still laughing.

“Now because he’s married,” Jace replied.

“What am I going to do here? We’ve been talking and drinking the whole day. Seriously, Dane? We spend 8hrs in the office for nothing?”

“And when else has our bonding been nothing?” Jace asked. “If I’m not mistaken, you always have an idea like this and now it’s nothing? It’s really different when you’re married.”

“What he wants to say is, better if he spends his day at home with his wife and celebrates their monthsarry, right, Phoenix?”

“Dane you’ve been talking nonsense.” Then I took my cellphone and left.

“Your feelings become more obvious but you’re still in denial.” It was accompanied by the laughter of the three who were laughing hard.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I didn’t hear anything from them when I left.

I drove home fast. I was at a traffic light when I saw a woman selling flowers. Will I buy for that woman a flower? Never mind. She might be happy and will think that I like her.

I got to the unit and when I opened the door I saw her peacefully sleeping on the sofa. Up to her is the phoenix painting.

Damn! The painting is so fucking nice. It is exceptionally beautiful in all my displays here. You will be distracted when you see it. Just like her.

I slowly walked towards her. Her hair covered her face but she was still beautiful.

Her perfect curve always says hi to me. I grabbed her waist and caressed her. She’s wearing a white duster raised to her thighs. I caressed her thigh while looking at her face. I lifted my caress to her hips. I’m hard goddamnit. The last time I had sex was with her and never been followed.

“Phoenix?” Her eyes widened when she saw me. Maybe because my face is close to her face.

“Kissed me,” I said and kiss her then picked her up and carried her to my room.
