Dinner party
…
“Well, I don’t want you here.”Gregory frowned.
“I love you too.”she went to place a peck on his forehead.
“Ugh, Jennifer! Can you for once act lady – like?”he said grumpily and pushed her away.
“Pecking you is manly?, you mean it is too light?. Alright, I will go for the lips now.”she chuckled and moved closer to him again.
Gregory stood up and ambled towards his bed.
“I will be back baby. Let me go change into a comfortable dress then come back to you.”she winked and Gregory shook his head.
“Five rooms apart.”he said.
“Eish, I was hoping you would promote it to the next room. You know, I love being around you.”
Beatrice took a step back, retreating.
Five rooms apart?
Isn’t that the room she is using?
Oh, no.
She’d better go move her things to another room.
She rushed to the room.
Thank God she hasn’t unpack her clothes yet.
She zipped up her luggage boxes and carried her hand bag.
She dragged them along with her as she walked towards the door.
Just then, the door opened revealing Jennifer.
She scoffed and looked down at her luggages.
“The.. what the hell is this?, why are you coming out of here?. Don’t te..”she stopped and shook her head.
She stepped in and took a glance around the room.
“Isn’t that my cream?. My hair dryer too?!”she widened her eyes.
Oh.
Beatrice swallowed nervously and scratched her head.
“I.. I didn’t know you were the owner. I just thought..”she cleared her throat.
“Hey!”she screamed.
“Why would Gregory allow a riffraff reside in my room?!”she yelped.
“Alright, calm. I didn’t know that..”
Jennifer jabbed her chest, making Beatrice to stagger back.
“I should calm down?. Can your entire life buy that cream?, that dryer?. How do I get rid of your bad smell in here?. I should calm?”she complained while poking her chest.
“Well, miss, I don’t..”
She pushed her back yet again and Beatrice back land roughly on the wall.
“You look like a classic lady with education, why are you acting like a barbarian?. At least you should hear me out first before doing all these. I am not a riffraff. You’re in that position because you just got lucky. I’m very fine on my own so don’t ever think you can look down on me or treat me like an inferior. I’m way better than you are.”Beatrice confronted her bravely.
She’s had enough of her rude attitude.
Jennifer folds her arms and jeered at her.
“What do I call this?. I can literally squeeze out what made you think your life is worthy out of you right now. How do I go about that?. Money! I can actually sue you to court for….”
“So stupid.”Beatrice cuts in with a chuckle.
“I didn’t expect you to be so stupid. Sue me to court?, for what reason?. You’re the lowlife here after all.”she snickered and adjusted her dress.
Jennifer made to slap her but a hand caught her hand in the air.
She turned to her side and found Gregory.
“What….”she scoffed then hijacked her hand away from his.
“Because of this poor thing?!”she fumed.
“Just stop, Jenna. You shouldn’t hit people because you don’t like them.”he spoke softly.
“I see..”she heaved.
“So, you supporting her?, even after passing such a rude remark at me?”
“I’m sure you started it.”he replied.
“Go puts your stuff in another room.”he said to Beatrice.
She huffed and left with her boxes.
She went to the next two rooms and place her things in there.
She moved out and went to sit down in the living room, continuing her movie.
She carried her popcorn and picked up one then drop it in her mouth.
“Bad people..”she crunched on it.
“Nonsense.”she hissed.

-Evening.
…
Beatrice had just woke up after a long sleep.
She could hear voices outside as she sat down.
She yawned and rubbed her eyes tiredly.
She removed the blanket from her body and stood up.
She scuttled to the bathroom and washed her face.
She stepped out of the room and bumped into Gregory.
She furrowed her brows at him.
“You’re awake?”
“No.”she answered and tried to walk away.
“Well.. I think I’ve.. went overboard again.”he sighed.
“There’s still one mission left for us.”he added.
Beatrice stopped walking but didn’t turn back to spare him a look.
“Go finish it up by yourself.”
“But we are couples?”he chuckled and came to stand before her.
“Go on a date with me.”he smiled.
Beatrice raised her brow at him and shook her head.
“The contract didn’t permit you to fall in love with me, IntrovertBoy.”she responded, icily.
“Well, who said I’ve fallen in love with you.”he stifled a laughter.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Beatrice blinked her eyes in embarrassment and pinched her face a little.
“It’s part of our show. Just see this as another episode. All the celebrities are gathering together for a dinner date and, oops, we got an invitation too. Not going wouldn’t do us any good, especially when the reporters are–”
“Then go by yourself. Tell them I’m sick.”
“Nah.. that wouldn’t do..”he took a step closer to her.
She moved her face away and moved back.
“You coming so close to me wouldn’t be any good too. Maintaining a social distance is the ideal.”
“What?. You’re my girlfriend so why don’t you wanna get romantic with me?”he teased.
Well, that was just a joke to him, but it is making her heart race in a frenzy way and making her cheeks heats up.
She turned sideways in order to hide her flushed face.
“I am not going.”
“Why?”he was close to her again.
His hit breath was literally fanning her face.
“Because I don’t want to.”she gulped down and stepped back.
“But I make the decision here.”he said, huskily.
“Go get dressed.. we are leaving in twenty minutes time.”
“I am not going.”she repeated.
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.”
“I will lock myself up in my room then since you’re proving so adamant.”
“Then, I will break the door and this is my house, getting a spare key shouldn’t be so hard.”
Beatrice frowned.
“Just go with your fianceè.”
“I’ve not got any, author. Besides, the people now know you as my to – be wife, so, wouldn’t appearing with another woman cause a great commotion?. Above all, won’t you feel jealous?. Now, off you go get ready.”
“I’m going too!”Jennifer chirped from behind.
