I nodded my head, Not wanting to argue with her. I looked at Na ji hye and she handed over the jar to the maid, who collected it with a confused look.

“Give those to the guards while serving them breakfast” I said.

Her face contorted with curiosity.

“What is inside your highness?” she asked.

She opened the cover of the jar and gasped loudly.

“Just give it to them. You just make sure you remind them to be mindful of how much they drink. They will be so happy to taste wine after a very long time. Besides, the reason why I am asking you to give them this is because they will be kept off guard.”

I strain my head forward toward the direction of the guards and my eyes moving around them. It looked like a camp with soldiers guarding it. After I make sure to have access to their position and every necessary thing about them. I turned back to face the maids.

I looked down at the skirt and chuckled softly when I saw what she was looking at. Different knot was tied on the skirt forming a circle, it certainly was her doing and she must be feeling embarrassed because of it. I bent down, my hand going to the skirt and began tackling the knots formed on it.

“If I pass the food like you direct, then I won’t be able to see the monster” I said while priming my skirt.

The maids chuckle at my behavior but immediately compost themselves when they meet my playful glare.

“We are sorry Your highness” they apologized with their head bow.

I smiled and winked at them which made them giggle happily.

“We will be late to serve the breakfast sung duk im” the second maid said to the maid whose uniform I am wearing and she nodded her head in agreement.

I looked at their faces one after the other.

They all nodded and Sung duk im, took the lead, heading towards the guards while the remaining of us followed behind her.

I bowed my head like I used to see my maids do and I made sure I changed my walking step. It was not easy but I was able to manage and do it.

I was still walking with my head bow when I heard a clash of a weapon and everyone stopped walking, halting my foot as well. I raise my head slightly and my eyes meet with the guards who are standing at the entrance of the gate. The sound produced from the weapon is as a result of them using their spear to block the road.

They were clad in armor and with their uniforms I got to know that they were the prison guards because the royal guards were always clad in some sort of a uniform not an armor. Since I have always seen some of the royal guards with my brother, I got to differentiate them from the other guards .

The guards looked at us for a long time and I started wondering what exactly they were finding in us. It’s not like this is their first time seeing Sung duk im and Nam oh jun.

After some minutes of staring without a word, One of the guards finally moved forward and opened the bowl in my hand. Another guard moved forward together with the first guard.

“Why are you four today?” he asked.

God. I totally forgot about Na ji hye, I should have known they would question us about her, since the maids are always three. they would certainly ask why they are four today.

I looked at her surprised, it was hard to believe how she came up with such a smooth lie so fast. It was as if she knew what’s going to happen.

I could see the other maids too rendered in surprise with their mouths wide open. I quickly cleared my voice to make them aware that they can blow up Na ji hye lie with their expression and thankfully they quickly understood the message and composed themselves and nodded their head to confirm Na ji hye words.

The guards looked at each other before removing their spear from the ways and allowed us to go in. We entered the open hallway or rather the camp. Immediately the army of guards spotted us they began gathering together and without wasting time Sung duk im and others began serving them. She signals me with her hand pointing toward the entrance of the prison and I quickly walk to the entrance. I heard them howling in joy and I took one look behind me and nodded my head when I see Na ji hye serving them the wine and without another look I dash inside the prison.
