She was found dead!
As the sun reached the center of the sky, Rebecca was surprised when she woke up after taking a nap. She hasn’t slept well last night because of what Emerson did, and those thoughts are still playing in her mind.
Oh, the way he’d nibble her ears and suck her nipple! She had forgotten. She must not do that, because she hasn’t even done that with someone else. It’s good to know that he didn’t lose her virginity.
But what surprised Rebecca more was far from what she’d thought: that when she opened the door of her bedroom-it seemed that in the middle of the day, someone’s presence (a man in a collared shirt and black pants, as he curtsied) seemed to smother their peaceful lives.
“Brother Claudio?” Rebecca asked in a manner that she couldn’t believe in seeing her elder brother in front of her, holding a tray of food and with an expanded lip that reaches his ears that acts as a camouflage to his intentions.
“Yeah, My younger sister, it seemed to be just yesterday when I left to manage our company in the west, but you quickly grew!” He exclaimed in a happy voice. “Do you not want to invite me into your room?”
“Oh! Come, come in, get inside,” Rebecca invited.
“You look so tired that you have just woken up. What did you do last night, huh?” Claudio appears to be joking.
Rebecca didn’t respond because she’s not the type to tell her brother about what happened. Observing his actions, she became curious as to why it seemed that his demeanor had changed. After he placed her food on the table, he put his hands inside the pocket of his black pants and curiously looked at her.
“You want to join me?” Rebecca asked as she sat down on the chair beside the table where Claudio was placing her food.
“Ah, am, I’ve got nothing else to do here. See you downstairs,” Claudio said as he exited Rebecca’s room and entered the dining room.
“Perhaps that was just because he had been far from us. I was just sixteen when he left to manage the company, and now I’m not that young anymore. Everyone grew though,” Rebecca thinks while eating her breakfast.
Laterally, after eating her breakfast, Rebecca felt dizzy, like she was being driven on a roller coaster, until the world turned dark as she lost consciousness. Meanwhile, Lucille was just entering her room when she found her mother looking pale and flabby.
“Re-be-cca!” Lucille yelled when she found out that Rebbecca’s mouth was bubbling with something, as if she had taken poison.
Everyone’s attention was immediately brought to what Lucille was shouting for: help! Rebecca was dying! Bernadette, Elfedio, and Claudio hurriedly got upstairs to see.
After a while, nothing could be heard but the loud and piercing sounds of the ambulance. They immediately took Rebecca out of the mansion and drove to the nearest hospital with her worried parents.
Meanwhile, Emerson wondered why there was an ambulance in front of the mansion and a crowd of people: servants, maids, footmen, cooks, etcetera, etcetera, were quarrelling there.
One of the peasants, named Lando, ran towards them. shouting something that Emerson didn’t want to hear. Something strange had happened to the young lady! He shouted around in stentorian tones.
“What? What happened to Rebecca?” Emerson queried.
“She was found dead!” Lando screamed.
“Wh-wh-what?” Emerson exclaimed as if he couldn’t breathe, almost incredulously. “That’s impossible! We were just with each other last night, and this-what would happen?” He mumbled in bewilderment.
“Stop exaggerating, Lando,” Damian reprimanded as he walked towards them. “You frightened someone after what was happening to Rebecca. She was just poisoned, not yet dead, but perhaps going to that too.”
After hearing Damian’s words, Emerson attempted to leave, but the old man grabbed his arm and asked, “Where are you going, huh?”
“I need to see her!” Damian insisted that Emerson go, but he clutched him with two arms in order to stop him from panicking.
“You!” Damian barked, which turned Lando into a curiosity. “Don’t make a decision which can just worsen the situation! It will be better if you stay here!”Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
“And I’ll let her die like that?” Emerson asked. “You don’t know, brother, but I can die too if she dies.” Tears began spurting out from his eyes.
“I know you do, but the best thing you must do right now is to stay away from her. Just calm Emerson.” Damian shook him. “Pray and trust that God will save her in this kind of situation.”
Emerson really wanted to see Rebecca, to know if she was just fine, but he also found points in Damian’s words that he might just worsen the situation if he showed how worried he was.
All of those acts were seen by Lando, then he sneakily went to the extensive garden. There, he met the green-eyed-monster-like Claudio, who was secretly laughing regardless of what was happening to his sister.
“Master, I found that our head worker, named Emerson Bevilla, was so worried about what happened to the young lady,” Lando reported as he halted behind him. He guessed that, “there might be something between them.”
“What do you mean is that they are having a hidden relationship?” Claudio asked, then faced him, then smirked. “If that’s so, my parents need to know this.”
“Yup, but master, are you not worried about what might be their reaction that after Rebecca was poisoned, they’ll also find out that their daughter and the head worker have a relationship?” Lando asked
“Don’t you go first before me, Lando!” Claudio scowled. “We don’t even know if they are really having a relationship or what!”
Lando nodded. “I’m sorry, master, but I know they’ve lost their minds over what’s been happening to them since you arrived here.”
“Well, that’s exactly what I want.” Claudio laughed in a manner that was unpleasantly rough and jarring to the senses. “Now that I’m here, I’ll shower them with pain. How I curse the day that I became part of their family!”
“Haha haha!” Lando laughed with his master.
“Pssstttt!” Claudio hissed. “Don’t you imitate my laughter if you don’t want me to squash your face and bury you alive!”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, master. Haha haha!” Lando bantered and fell into silence when Claudio stroked his nape.
At Eastern Avenue Hospital, Elfedio and Bernadette couldn’t stay calm, just sitting there outside the emergency room. They didn’t know who did that to their daughter, but they would probably make that person pay.
After a lot of monotonous ticking of the hanging clock, the couple suddenly stood up when a man in a white suit stepped out of the ER. They didn’t let him walk or speak as a lot of questions about their daughter continuously stumbled out of their lips.
