Her Fae Lovers

Forty-One

Pulling the blankets over a softly snoring Lu. Lola smiled before leaning over and kissing his forehead. Standing, she moved to pull the curtains closed, blocking out the bright afternoon sun. Worrying the inside of her cheek, she thought about the sob of relief he had let out at Merrow’s words.

His kin was alive. She truly hoped that the older Annwn was his sister and not someone with a similar name.

Softly closing the door and letting out a sigh, she rested her head against the door. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d had a quiet moment to herself.

“What’s on your mind?” Puca asked as he moved down the hallway, filling up the narrow space.

Walking up to him, Lola brought her arms up to wrap them around his waist. Her cheek resting against his chest as she breathed in his scent. Letting it wash over her. She didn’t know what it was about Puca that soothed her. That made her feel like she could let go.

But he did. She felt herself melt against him as his arms moved around her. Fingers brushing her cheek as he stroked her hair.

“You should get some rest, go halainn.”

“No time for that. I need to drive Merrow to see Annwn.” Lola said, pulling away from his chest to look up at him. “I’ll rest later.”

“Aye, it will do him good. Help heal things between him and Bodach.” His fingers moved over her cheek and her breath catch in her throat as he leaned forward. His warm breath fanning over her lips and she leaned closer. The kiss was firm, commanding as he teased her lips until she parted them with a sigh.

Tangling her hands in the back of his shirt. She felt the low coiling in the pit of her stomach, dancing up her spine as his tongue moved against hers. His hand cupped the back of her head, the other hand moving to her hip.

“Puca,” Lola moaned out as fingers tightened in her hair. His hand moving to massage her ass as he kissed his way down her neck.

“The way you say my name. Gràdhaich an dòigh anns a bheil do bhodhaig a ‘brùthadh an aghaidh mise. Mar a bhios tu a ‘gearan m’ ainm.” Puca panted against the skin of her neck, “Makes me so hard for you.”

Lola whimpered as he moved his lips back to hers. She wanted to undo his jeans. To feel the hard length in her palm instead of pressed into her stomach through the layers of clothing that they both had on.

“Puca-”

“Soon enough, Lola. I want you to be in control when I take you.”

Lola’s heartbeat sped up as she thought about riding Puca. The image of him sprawled beneath her as she rode him had her biting her lip and looking at him through lowered lashes.

Puca let out a growl, “If you keep looking at me like that I won’t be able to help myself, beautiful.”

“What if I don’t want you to stop,” Lola asked. The tip of her tongue darting out to run over her lower lip.

“What my lady wants.”

“She will get later.” Merrow said as he bounced down on the balls of his feet. “I want you two to lay together, but Lola and I have more pressing matters.”

Puca let out a sigh as he looked back at Lola with a sigh, “He’s right. Go, but come back to me safely. Both of you.” He said glancing over at Merrow.

“Aye, we’ll be back before you know it. Til then you can keep Bodach busy.”

“I’m standing right here.” Bodach said, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned against the wall further down the hallway.

“I know,” Merrow said with a slow, wicked smile spreading across his face, “Maybe they fight. Maybe they find other things to keep them busy.”

“Merrow.” Lola whispered. If he kept up his teasing. She didn’t think she would be able to keep from jumping one of them. Or all of them.

“I jest.” He said holding his hand out towards Lola.

Glancing up at Puca, her eyes met his, and he nodded before letting her go to the other man. His golden eyes moving to Bodach’s. They had a score to settle before the fun began, and Puca had the feeling that the other man needed to work out his frustrations as well.

Merrow pulled Lola towards the front door, Bodach’s hand shot out to grab her wrist.

“Oh, come on now.” Merrow grumbled, letting her hand go as he turned around to glare at Bodach.

“I’m just saying my goodbyes.” Bodach said as he gently pulled Lola closer,

“Bodach, I’ll be coming back.”

“I know, just remember what I told you. Let’s get you under control first. Don’t let Merrow tempt you away.” He said, his thumb stroking the inside of her wrist as he gave her a look that had so many emotions Lola didn’t have a name for.

“I won’t.” Lola whispered as he let her hand go and she looked away from him, feeling her cheeks heat up. Merrow’s eyes met hers with a wink before he turned away, his hand clasping hers. Pulling her towards the front door.

Slipping on her shoes, Lola turned to Merrow as he held open the door for her. They had a bit of trip to make and he all but dragged her down the stairs towards her jeep.

Closing her door, Lola moved into her seat. Clicking the seatbelt. She glanced over at Merrow as he rubbed his hands together. She could practically feel the nervous energy pouring off of him.

“What if it’s a different Annwn? Is that a common name?” Lola asked as she put her key into the ignition and started the car.

“It’s her, it’s got to be her.” He said as she pulled the car into the street.

“I don’t know Merrow,” Lola said worrying her lower lip. “The woman was old, she didn’t… She didn’t look like you.”

“Lola, we are fae. Time works differently for us. If she looked older. It’s because that’s how she wanted to appear to you.”This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

“What do you mean?” Lala asked as she drove.

“We have many different forms, many gifts. Annwn and I… And you, we are water fae.” Merrow said, taking his hand into her.

Rubbing her other hand over the leather covering on the steering wheel, Lola couldn’t help but think about his words and Bodach’s. If she were a water fae as he said. Then what had Bodach meant when he had said that they were suitable for each other?
