Chapter 9
Chapter 9
As soon as Emma got into a taxi, she called her mother to tell her that she already had the money, and
they could ask the hospital to arrange the operation immediately.
She hurried to the bank to withdraw money, but her luck was extremely bad. The bank staff happened
to off work when she got there. So she had to go there again the next day.
After leaving the bank, Emma went to the hospital. She paid the deposit with all her savings, and
successfully booked the operation two days later.
But when Emma went to the bank to withdraw money the next day, the bank staff told she that it was
an invalid rubber check.
“What? Maybe there was a mistake? Please take a look carefully again...” Emma didn’t believe it for a
while.
The staff checked it again patiently and gave Emma the same answer, "It's really an invalid rubber
check."
Emma’s fingers suddenly clenched into fists, a great anger flowed in her heart.
Celia lied to her!
She didn’t really give Emma the 30 thousand dollars. She was just teased her.
Emma went back to the villa with angry. But she was stopped at the gate by two strange male servants.
"Sorry, ma'am, Miss Celia don’t allow to let you in."
“Go away!” Emma couldn't hold back her anger and began to jostle with the two maids.
However, she was just a woman after all. Her strength was not greater than the two men. She couldn’t
even enter the iron gate of the villa. What she could do was just quarrel with them.
A car noise suddenly rang behind her.
Glenn drove back.
The two maids suppressed Emma immediately to prevent her from further mischief. At the same time,
they respectfully retreated to the sides to let Glenn enter the house.
“Glenn!” Emma yelled at the black Bentley, “Stop! I have something to tell you.”
The car windows were closed. They were covered by peep-proof protection film, and Emma couldn’t
even see Glenn's hair.
The car drove straight into the villa without a pause.
“Glenn!” Emma suddenly tried hard to get rid of the two servants. She rushed to the car and stopped it
with her body.
The car stopped narrowly a few centimeters from Emma's knees.
Emma leaned on the window and banged on the black glass, "Glenn, come out here, I have something
to tell you!"
Glenn frowned hard inside the car. After a few seconds, he lowered the window.
"What's the matter?" He said in indifference.
Emma finally met Glenn, but the words on her lips were suddenly lost.
She had signed the divorce agreement. And now she had nothing to do with Glenn. He was even more
ruthless to her. So even if he knew everything, would he really be willing to help her?
Glenn waited for a few seconds before Emma spoke. Then he lost his patience.
“Get out of here if nothing important. Don't get in my way." Said Glenn, and he slowly rolled up the
window.
Emma was in a panic and reached out to try to stop the window from closing.
But the window still closed, and Emma's fingers were caught in the crack of the window. She could not
help crying out in pain.
Glenn frowned and rolled down the window immediately. He said in a cold voice, “Emma, if you want to
kill yourself, then stay away from me!”
Emma's heart ached severely, she gritted her teeth and said, "Glenn, I'm short of money now. Can you
lend me 30 thousand dollars for the sake of our three-year relationship?”
The word she used was “lend”. She would pay it back to him in the future, even if it would take all her
her lifetime.
Glenn looked at her eyes. He smiled in ironic.
“30 thousand dollars? Why do you think you are worth so much money?” He said.
Emma’s face turned pale. She was so embarrassed that she felt cold from all over her body.
Glenn stared into her quivering eyes and went on relentlessly, “Even if 30 thousand dollars mean
nothing to me, I would rather give them to the women in the bar than you!”
Emma released her hand from the car window in despair.
She should had known that, how in possible would he help her? All he wanted to do was only to kill
her...
Emma thought she was so stupid. Whether coming back to Celia or asking Glenn for help, or even
falling in love with Glenn, she was a completely foolish ever! This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Glenn gave Emma a deep look and he started the car again into the house.
The gorgeous and cold iron gate was slammed, leaving Emma completely isolated outside.
