FINN VS CHARLES

Rita’s POV

Regarding the bouquet I got, I was expecting Finn to show up at my office but he didn’t, he probably thought I turned down the flowers ¿

I abandoned the rest of the work for Evelyn handle while I impatiently piled up files to go give them to Finn.

“Hello there” I waved at Charles who obviously admired me as I walked pass him towards Finn’s desk.

As usual, I dropped the files on the table and repeated; “Hello” I smiled widely, giving him a gesture that I got his message and his flowers.

When he smiled back at me, I took that as a cue of hope.

“Can I have a seat?” I asked rhetorically.

“Of course” He replied.

I sat down stylishly. “I won’t be taking a break from work anymore” To start with, I informed him.

“Uhm, why?”

“Private reasons ¿”

“Uhm?”

“You know the private reason, I wanted to go see my man but something came up, so I won’t be traveling anymore” I explained briefly, I spoke to him freely and informally since we’re starting to get cool again.

“Oh, alright” He said.

“Er… uhm, I.. I got your gift, why aren’t you saying anything about it, you’re shy?”

“What gift? Gift?” He asked, furrowing his brows.

I chuckled, oh! so he has decided to pretend he knew nothing about it.

“I will return to my office now, see you during lunch maybe” I got on my foot.

“Enjoy the rest of your day Rita” He said.

“Thank you, you too” I smiled, now heading towards the door when Charles obstructed me.

Is he always having a conversation with everyone that comes to see Finn?

“Hey dear”

“Hi Charles” I played along by returning the sweet attitude he’s showing me.

“You’re beautiful ” He suddenly complimented and I was puzzled. “You are really beautiful”

“Thank …you” “You don’t look bad yourself” It’s even better to exchange compliments even when you don’t mean it.

I noticed Finn raised his head up to see what Charles was up to again. I wondered also.

“Thank you” Charles smiled. “I couldn’t even get you something compared to your beauty, but I thought you might love some flowers anyways”

“Uhn.. you were the one who left bouquet on my desk?” I asked and he nodded.

I was shocked, I turned to Finn, who looked bewildered as I was, then why was he smiling and jovial to me whereas we were initially on bad terms.

“You didn’t love the flowers? Allergy?” Charles asked.

“I.. I love the flowers. They are beautiful, they smell nice too. I love Fl.. flowers” I stammered abit, still stunned.

“I know right” He smiled widely.

“Uhn.. Charles. Thank you, I.. I’ve got work” I tried not to be rude.

“Oh, sorry for taking too much of your time. See you around later”

I nodded weirdly, taking another look at Finn before leaving his office.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

I have made a fool of myself by speaking to Finn, I hit my left side chest (heart) as if it would make it stop racing abnormally.

Finn’s POV

“Why did you get her flowers?” I tried not to make a fuss yet. Infact, I’ll take this very lightly if he meant no intention at all.

“Why did I get Rita flowers?” Charles asked himself like he didn’t understand the same question I just asked him.

I didn’t say anything but folded my arms and stared at him, waiting for a proper answer.

“Don’t you know what it means to give a girl flowers?” Charles questioned me rhetorically.

“I know and that’s why I asked to confirm”

He smirked; “Hmmn well, I like Rita so much. Huh, did I use the word ‘like’? I am in love with Rita” Charles responded and I groaned, hitting my hand on the table then I stood up to confront him.

“What’s wrong with you dude?” He asked.

“Dude?” I voiced; “I am Mr Finn Lakston to you, the CEO of this company, I am your boss! You have no fvcking right to call me dude, you dare not speak to me informally!” I retorted.

“Okay, Mr CEO Finn, what is wrong with you? Why are you so mad?” Charles ridiculed.

Finn scoffed and moved closer to him; “Put an end to the feelings you have for Rita, it’s not a request but an order”

Charles laughed hysterically “Who are you to tell me who I should fall in love with or not?” He fired back at me.

“I’m not messing with you Charles” I raised my voice but this idiot seemed to be unbothered; “Rita is in a relationship ”

“If she doesn’t want me, Rita would tell me herself. Just because she is dating someone doesn’t necessarily guarantee she would end up with him” Charles laughed.

“Shut the fvck up!”

“What’s your business? You are not her dad, brother or bodyguard. Oh sorry, oops! you love her too. Wow, that makes us rivals right? Nice meeting you again Mr Finn” He stretched his hand for a handshake. Sarcastic!

“You are insane” I insulted him and returned to my seat.

Charles went back to his seat too but packed up his things along with him.

“Just tell me you’re resigning!” I said.

“Opps! See you on monday” He laughed weirdly and left my office.

“Arrrgh!!” I mithered frustratedly. “I hate that guy! I hate him! I hate him!!!, Aaaaarrrgh!!!!”
