“I swear down Alexander, I will fire your so called friend once he resumes” Finn yelled, his voice laced with anger.

“But why?” Alexander wondered.

“Because he is lazy and arrogant. He didn’t even show up at work today” Finn complained.

“I know and that’s because we were working together”

“He was supposed to come to the company!”

“I thought he already told you that he won’t show up at the company everyday”

“Oh wow, a good reason to miss his first day of resumption?” Finn grinned sarcastically.

“Alexander, you’re making me do things I don’t wanna do” He shook his head continuously in regret.

“Finn, I thought we have already concluded the matter, are you sure there’s nothing more attached to this?”

Finn shook his head; ” I don’t like lazy and uncommitted people and didn’t you notice he spoke to me insolently like it was mandatory I employ him. Listen Alex, you’d better get or learn whatever you want from him, so I’ll fire his ass instantly” Finn raised his voice then finally sat on the couch to calm the tension.

“I need you to find out how Charles knows Rita” Finn resumed again.

“What? Am I a hired private investigator or something? and besides, Charles only said Rita looks familiar to him. Why are you so worked up?” Alex raised his eyebrows.

“Alex, I need you to find out how Charles knows Rita? Why does Rita look familiar to him!”

“Obviously from Kikachat. Everyone on Kikachat looks familiar to Charles, the founder”

“Then why didn’t he say I look familiar too, huh?”

“What??” Adam exclaimed.

His curiosity piqued.

“I… I…. uhm nevermind, I meant what if Rita’s not in kikachat, I don’t know, just find out what I ask you to find out. I need you to dig into Charles’ life” He said, and stood up to leave but Alex obstructed his way.

“Something bothers me” He peered his eyes. “I know where Rita must have known me, and why she called me Jared” Alex uttered.

Finn almost flinched but he tried to comport himself.

“Jared was her lover on my dating platform, ‘Love Station” He continued; “Do you remember I told you about someone who used my identity on my own app?” He snapped his fingers.

“Well, I’m glad you were able to clear the air, so Rita doesn’t think you are pretending not to be Jared and about your dead creation, I’m no longer surprised, everyone now believes Love station is filled with fake identities and multi identities ” Finn remarked and his brother whined softly.

“I don’t know how I must have omitted Strong security; I will learn more from Charles, hence before a user can sign up, he or she must submit his personal details”

Finn smirked at the mention of the name ‘Charles’ even though he barely understood what Alex was explaining.

“Once again, dig into Charles’ life! ” Finn repeated and headed straight up to his room.

Rita’s POV

“How has your day been my love?” Zane asked.

“The usual but I’m fine. How are you and how was your day too?” I asked, holding the phone down on my head to shoulders while I attended to the dishes.

“What’s that word again? Hectic!” He replied.

“Uhmn, same. Work is never fun despite the kind of occupation” I complained.

“I agree” He responded.

“And before you ask about what happened at my place of work, I’ll let you know that nothing exciting happened, so do not ask!” I cautioned ahead and he laughed.

“Fine, I won’t ask you anymore because I trust you’ll never keep secrets away from me” He said.

I smugged, little did he know that I made my mind never to disclose to him about my boss and I. Why do I always have to tell him since it will do no good to him.

“So you do not have anything at all for me today Rita?” He asked.

“Nothing, nothing” An idea suddenly popped into my head as I made my way out of the kitchen.

“Zane” I mentioned his name; I always do that whenever I have something to say.

“Yes my love” He answered.

“I wanna test you” I said.

“You wanna test my level of self-control?”

“Oh please Zane, I’m dead serious now, this have nothing to do with s*x okay?”

“Okay”

“Actually, I have three questions to ask you” I began.

“Shoot me”

“I will ask you just one question right now and the rest whenever they pop into my head”

“Which do I prefer Zane? A cold coffee or a hot one” I questioned.

“Errm Rita, what kind question is this?” He asked.

“Just answer it. It’s cool if you fail this one and get the remaining two questions correct”

“Okay. Hmm…uhm Rita, I think you prefer to drink.. erm… a cold coffee whenever the weather seems hot and a hot coffee whenever the weather seems cold” He answered smartly.

I couldn’t believe my ears, I gave a broken laughter.

“Wow Zane, what a clever way to answer the question” I remarked awesomely and he laughed out loud too.

“Who says I’m wrong? I’m not. Therefore We’re soulmates! We’re meant for each other!!”

I was about to say something when my phone buzzed.

Oops My Mom!

“I’m getting a call from my mom, I’ll speak with you later Zane”

“Alright! My sincere regards to her” He replied.

I disconnected his call and swiped to the receiver to pick mom’s.

“Hello Mom” I said into the phone.

“Hello my dear Rita” With the dearest motherly tone ever not minding my matured age.

“How are you mom and how’s Dad?” I asked.

“We’re great, couldn’t be better. And your father is right here, watching me speak with you while he listens” I chuckled.

“Awwn I miss you both”

“Oh perfect, we miss you too darling. This brings me back to why I called you today”

Oops! I have a man now, so what is it now? I thought.

“How is he?” My Mom asked.

“I know you are referring to my man, Zane is doing just fine ” I replied simply.

“So when are we meeting Zane?” She suddenly asked.

“What?? Uughh!!” I blurted. “I… I don’t know” I stuttered, I wasn’t expecting such question yet.

“Well, I know. Your Dad and I were just discussing about it. We have fixed a meeting during this weekend, come here with him to have dinner and uhm maybe sleepover” Mom suggested.

“What? Mommy??? Ugh!!”

“Yes dear. We wanna meet your man this weekend!”
