Hello, CEO! Don’t Play With Me!

[55]

Andrew got out of the taxi he had booked to take Giselle to her unit. They spent maybe an hour or two chatting with each other just to pass the time. And Andrew really didn’t expect to get this kind of luck.

“Thank you for dropping me off,” Giselle said with a big smile. “It was quite nice talking to you.”

“Mind if we talk that casually again? Another time?” Andrew asked hopefully.

“Um… I think so.” Although she seemed hesitant but at least Giselle had voiced what came to mind. After all, this man in front of her was not a man who could roam freely. Perhaps it was a very rare coincidence, where they could meet in an unexpected place.

Plus spending time just talking carefree as if they had known each other for a long time. Indeed, if you think about it, Giselle had known Andrew since she worked at Jilly’s club. But she only knew him through her eyes, never really like what they missed earlier.

“I’m glad you don’t mind.” Andrew let out a sigh of relief. “I’ll let you know if my schedule is free and I hope you can fit it in.”

“Okay.” Giselle smiled slightly. “I guess we part ways here and once again, thank you.”

“Don’t ever be shy. I’m happy to talk to you, to feel one step closer to the girl I admire.”

Giselle’s eyeballs rolled in annoyance. “Never mind, tone down your sweet mouth. I have more than enough chocolate in my life. I don’t need sweet talk like that.”

Andrew laughed. “There’s nothing wrong with the word effort.”

“Whatever.” Giselle wagged her finger lightly. “I’ll go in first.”

“Go ahead.”

Andrew let her walk away happily with her hands full of paper bags that he knew what was in them. A promise to send her cookies every so often that Giselle thought tasted so good. And a long talk about Brina, the annoying assistant who Andrew believes wholeheartedly cares for Giselle with all her soul.

Her back disappeared as he stepped into the corridor where the elevator would take him to the floor he was on. And yet Andrew forgot the conversation that had taken place between them, which made his smile never fade.

“I didn’t expect the boss of The Collage to come to an event like this,” she said as she chewed her dish with sparkling eyes. “Gosh, this Croquembouche is so soft.”

“If you like it, you can order a takeaway.”

Giselle shook her head immediately. “Brina often monitors what’s in my storage closet.” She also chuckled. “You know, even your shipments really go through a rigorous selection.”

Andrew laughed.

“You wouldn’t believe how creepy Brina is when it comes to food.”

“But everything has a result that you can get, right?”

Without hesitation, Giselle nodded because what Andrew had just said was true. She took a sip of her hot chocolate. “It’s just that the chocolate can ease the stress levels that suddenly come up. You know how chocolate affects the brain, right?”

“I don’t have a sweet tooth.” Andrew just chuckled.

“What do you do when stress strikes?” Giselle looked at her interlocutor intently. “It’s a lie that a CEO of The Collage doesn’t have a lot of pressure.”

“You’re right.” He put back the coffee cup that Andrew had just sipped from. The bitter and sweet taste of coffee was similar to his life but this time, it was many times sweeter. Giselle had taken off her big glasses earlier. Her long hair was tied up so that many of her hairs fell around her face. Andrew wanted to tidy it up but he knew his limits.

Giselle is not a girl he can just touch.

“Being a company leader is not easy. It’s not just the shareholders that often give me a headache, but it’s also a job that is full of risks and has a side that is, I admit, creepy.”

The girl nodded as if she understood.

“There are things that can be told publicly and I will benefit greatly. There are also things that I have to guard carefully so that they don’t leak out because of the cooperation between us. And yes… you are one of the entertainment actors. I’m sure you know how news travels to make people famous or miserable because digital footprints can’t be easily erased.”

“I see.” Giselle stirred the hot chocolate slightly.

“But you can rest easy. I don’t intend to make you depressed because of the past. I promised you, right?” Andrew smiled in an attempt to dispel the worry created on Giselle’s face.

“I know,” Giselle replied with a smile that Andrew thought was the sweetest smile in the world. He doesn’t get tired of Giselle doing the same thing over and over again. For some reason, Giselle’s smile this time made Andrew feel like he had a big hand in keeping it from disappearing.

“I’ll honor your promise to you, Andrew. I really don’t want to remember the past.”NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

“Trust me on that,” Andrew said, patting his chest lightly. “A man is responsible for every word he says, let alone his promises.”

Giselle laughed. “By the way, I’m reminded of your message this afternoon. Are you rambling?”

Andrew’s brow furrowed but then chuckled. “Where’s the rambling? I really wanted to talk after the interview. It’s a relaxed atmosphere but it seems like God knows how to grant His people’s greatest wishes, huh.”

Giselle chuckled. “The interview is in two weeks after the Monochrome design is finished. Justin will be very busy during that time.” Unconsciously, Giselle sighed. Her interest in the delicious snack in front of her had diminished considerably.

“I heard that this show is highly anticipated by many people. You know, there are a lot of businessmen like Justin and most of them want a new buzz. Not just a design carried by a famous model. But a design that can be remembered for all time.”

“I knew it. Justin definitely won’t forget the most important part of his design.”

“I don’t quite understand what Justin needs, but obviously, I can make the news about Monochrome much bigger than last year. Justin specifically asked that this year, there should be a lot of SEO news.”

Giselle smiled cheerfully. “I’m sure Justin will be happy.”

“You must be involved with Monocrhome, right?”

Giselle shook her head quickly. “Every year, the plan that Justin has always has a certain characteristic. For what I’ve brought, that’s what continues to stick with me as an SEO model. It’s like a branding for a certain image that Justin has created and designed for me. With many considerations in accordance with the progress of fashion that continues to rise in this country.”

Andrew was silent. “So… you’re not the main star anymore?”

“No.” Giselle replied carefree. “This year is Harvey’s year.”

“No wonder.” Andrew rubbed the tip of his chin lightly. “But you don’t mind, you know… jealousy of new models joining?”

Giselle even laughed at Andrew’s question just now. her eyes narrowed as she was swallowed by her own laughter. until Giselle felt, the corners of her eyes were wet.

Which Andrew enjoyed very much, the laughter that Giselle created just now. when we first met in front of the outlet, Andrew felt that there was a burden hanging over this beautiful model. whatever it was, Andrew couldn’t freely ask. He didn’t want his approach to Giselle to seem rushed and make her run away without thinking if the feelings he had were serious and earnest. But as the conversation went on, Giselle’s smile returned and grew wider. At the very least, Andrew was able to make Giselle forget her sadness.

Although he was very curious, what kind of sadness was the girl in?

“I like Harvey as a friend. You know, having friends who are on the same frequency as me is difficult. Most want to be close to me and have a purpose. Whereas with Harvey? I don’t feel that.”

Andrew agrees. “I feel it too. Your friendship is well-established and full of warmth.”

“Ah… you outsiders can judge, right?” Giselle laughed cheerfully, while clapping her hands. “I don’t have the kind of jealousy you’re worried about, Andrew. I’m even happy if Harvey can reach the same peak as me.”

The man was increasingly convinced … his feelings for Giselle, which were initially formed from ordinary liking, became admiration with a simple but meaningful thought. God, please allow me to continue to be near Giselle. Strengthen my feelings for her. And also allow that in the future, her heart will be filled with my name. He muttered to himself.

The cell phone in the pocket of his blazer rang loudly, making all the sweet and memorable moments in Andrew’s life fade away, replaced with a frown and a grunt of annoyance at the name on the screen.

Old man.

“Yes, Pa?”
