“Thank you for the delivery,” Giselle said as she ate the salad she had ordered for her lunch. No. She didn’t just eat salad, she needed a lot of energy because there were many things she wanted to do with Harvyey while in the city center.
This included accompanying the girl on her hunt for a unit to live in. The house Harvey had lived in in Milan was already being emptied. Some of his belongings are already packed and ready to be transported. It’s a bit hard for Harvey to leave his childhood home, but what else can he say when his job requires him to be flexible?
After all, there will be someone who regularly takes care of the house and makes sure it’s always tidy even when it’s unoccupied.
They were eating at a restaurant not far from the SEO building. Justin should have come with them, but unfortunately Brina and Nico asked for time to discuss. Brina had a lot to say including Giselle’s work at NewCastle last week. there were no problems, in fact many offers came in and could be transferred to other SEO models. at least the boss should know and be able to negotiate if it’s not Giselle who comes forward, whether they have problems or not.
Before the cooperation is created, it needs some clear things to be agreed upon. Otherwise, the image of SEO and the cooperation created was damaged. It would affect their relationship in the future and for Justin, it was detrimental. Brina, who already knew what Justin’s character was like, immediately restrained her boss from spending time outside. It was better to discuss long-term work.
Luckily, Justin agreed and asked Giselle and Harvey to accompany the guest who arrived earlier; Andrew Kingston.
Harvey didn’t mind, Giselle didn’t mind either, so here they sat, enjoying the meal.
“Do you like it?” asked Andrew with a slight smile. His hands were skillfully cutting the steak in front of him. The last time he had enjoyed meat covered in an appetizing sauce was with Fania. The rest of the time he opted for sea food as a meal because of his fondness for protein sources from the sea as he grew up.
“Yes.” Giselle laughed. “It’s so delicious. The sweetness melts on the tongue.”
Harvey chuckled in surprise. “When did you get tired of chocolate?”
“Same question for you, Miss, when did you get rid of the soda?” Giselle stuck out her tongue teasingly at Harvey. “Besides, the calories in the cookies Andrew sent last time were different from when we were quarantined.”
“It’s still chocolate, Giselle. You really love that sweet treat.” Harvey took a big bite of the corn soup that was served to him. The warm flavor that ran through his taste buds was so appetizing.
Andrew could only laugh at the arguments that were created at the dinner table. It was obvious that the friendship was pure sincerity. Although Andy had told him about their relationship several times during quarantine, Andrew couldn’t witness the intimacy firsthand. But now, he could feel this lucky, right?
“I’ve talked to the head chef to make enough stock for you. The shelf life is also quite long even without preservatives.”
Giselle looked at Andrew with a sparkling look. “Really?”
“Yes. As long as you are not tormented during the activities.”
Suddenly Giselle’s smile faded which made Andrew look at her in surprise.
“What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?”
Giselle shook her head lightly. “I think the one tormenting me is Brina. Even though I told her about the content of the cookies, she still doesn’t believe me. She said I could have been tricked.”
Andrew laughed. “What would I do that for? Something you love, I’ll fight to keep you enjoying.”
Harvey cleared his throat loudly. “The mouth of a CEO of The Collage can be this sweet, huh?”
Andrew looked at Harvey with a faint smile. “Are you distracted?”
Harvey’s hand shot up immediately. “I’m used to seeing conversations even to the point of disgusting scenes happening in plain sight. If you want to do it, just pretend I’m not here. I still want to enjoy this corn soup.”
“What are you talking about?” Giselle scowled in displeasure. She had already finished the salad on her plate. Her stomach also felt full. “I need the toilet. Excuse me for a moment. Don’t make any noise, especially you, Harvey.”
“Damn it!” Harvey chuckled in annoyance but only briefly. He stares at Giselle’s back until she disappears down the corridor to the restroom directed by the sign. He goes back to savoring the rest of his corn soup.
“I didn’t expect Maya’s top model to turn to SEO.” Andrew could not ignore Harvey’s presence in front of him. As one of the entertainment actors, although behind the scenes, Andrew and his knowledge of the people involved in front of the camera, he mostly knows. “What Justin is offering is more tempting. Naturally, I’m interested, right?”
Andrew smiled slightly. “I don’t know if I can believe that or not. Maya doesn’t make concessions easily, especially when you’re one of the people she relies on the most.”
Harvey grinned. The spoon that was originally used to bribe the corn soup, was put down slowly even though it made a disturbing sound. Harvey’s eyes looked intently at Andrew. He knew what Andrew could do to put him on the edge of life. Whether the orders of the man in front of him could help him rise as high as he could reach, or turn himself into a time bomb. “I wondered, too, how someone with so much influence could do what Justin said.”
Andrew was silent. The tail of his eyes returned Harvey’s unfriendly gaze.
“But I don’t think it’s just the co-op thing that makes you do what Justin wants, right?” Harvey reached for the glass that held his drink. He took a slow sip, moistening his throat where the taste of corn soup still lingered. This lunch was delicious enough to savor slowly. Giselle says they need to have more energy because there’s a lot to do.
Getting to know Giselle during the two-week quarantine period, Harvey knew and understood that Giselle’s words were no toy. It might be even crazier when they actually do it.
“What I do has nothing to do with you.” Andrew went back to enjoying his meal. He never left any food on the plate that had been served to him. His mother had taught him that he had to finish his meal. There are many people out there who are not lucky enough to be able to enjoy good food like Andrew is enjoying right now.
“I know,” Harvey said immediately. “But you need to underline one thing, Andrew.” Harvey’s eyes became more and more focused on Andrew, who seemed to be ignoring him. It doesn’t matter, as long as Harvey’s words this time are listened to thoughtfully.
“I’m fine with any girl you approach as long as it’s not Giselle. Don’t think I don’t know about your relationship with Fania Langham.”
Andrew’s hand, which was holding the fork, was getting a stronger grip.
“Langham and Kingston had quite a complicated relationship in the past. It would be very troublesome if Kingston knew that you were approaching another girl and ignoring Langham. Even though you can count the years of our friendship on your fingers, I don’t want anyone to hurt my friend. Understood?”
Andrew swallowed softly. “Who the hell are you?”
