He used to hate her

Chapter 27

Chapter 27

" I want to get discharged before she steps here. Can't she give up on me?"

She won't. Who knows what she's planning to do tomorrow.

" Let's forget it, Xander. Tomorrow's your last day in the hospital. What are you planning to do after getting discharged?" I closed the laptop and distracted him.

" I haven't thought about it but I will be so happy to use my hand. I'm so tired of using one hand."

" There's an end for it tomorrow. You can finally use your both hands and you don't need to stay in a room for a whole day." I gently touched the words I wrote in his bandage.

" That's a big relief among all. Then, I got three wishes to be fulfilled after I'm out of here. It's about us," Xander said. The word 'us' gives me excitement.

" Tell me all,"

" First, I want you to stay with me in my mansion. I know you will be worried about Sofia but I'm hoping we could find a way to make this happen," He paused waiting for a reply.

" Since I left her for a week, I will be spending time with her for some days and if she's okay with this, the next minute I will pack my things and join you in your mansion. One done, what's the other two?" I asked, leaned my head on his shoulder.

" So, the next is I want to marry you," He simply said, without thinking about the consequences. This is my dream since I met him if only no one stands in the way.

" I want that too, Xander but will it be easy. Especially when you are already engaged,"

" I told you I will find a way to cancel it. I'm not letting it happen. So, do you want to hear what's next?"

" Of course I do,"

" You don't need to find a job. You want to pay your Aunt for all she did from your high school. I will pay the whole amount and you don't need to work after that. My wish is you should accept what I'm going to do for you. Will you?" Xander asked something hard. I thought I will be working my whole life and suddenly, everything's gonna be the opposite of what I thought. I need some time to think.

" I will think and tell, Xander. If this is what you want, I don't think I can reject it," I replied, seeing his satisfied look. Everything is perfect and all I need to do is wait for the next day. It's Xander's discharging day and Veronica's arrival.

.....

The nurse is taking the bandage off in a proper way and giving some instruction to Xander. He can't do any difficult work to his hand but that's not going to stop him from using his hand.

" I never felt more alive. I can finally feel my hand," Xander told, moving his hand. I smiled at him, seeing him happy makes me happy.

The next thing Xander did was holding my hand and pulling me closer to him. I stood between his legs as he placed his hands on either side of my wrist.

" I love you, Madison," He said. I haven't said I love him yet. The words not going to express what's in my heart. I love him more than he could imagine.

" I love you, Xander,"

" Please, find a way for your roommate and stay with me. I want to wake up seeing your face every day. This planned wedding or no other problems going to stop me from loving you," Xander said,

tucking my hair behind my ear and kissed me fiercely. And we were in a world where no other persons exist.

" I know this would happen," a familiar voice broke up apart. I turned to find Veronica who already slammed the door open and came in.

" Don't you have any manners? I don't want to meet you. If you ever have self-respect, get the hell out of here," Xander yelled at her.

" I told I will come. You loved me before. You will regret it if you cancel the wedding and you defiently don't want to be with her. Do you truly want that?" She asked him, folding her arms against her chest and being as cool as she can. She's here with some plan.

" I don't need to answer you. I know what I want."

" You do? Who is she to you? Do you even remember that?" She smirked.

" Why do you even want to know that? I may not have my memory but I know what happened in the past. Madison told me everything." Xander said with confidence. I'm sorry, Xander. I didn't say it all.

I can't dumb you with everything.

Then I'm afraid of losing you again.

" Everything? Would you mind telling me what she told? If you tell, I will leave." Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

" That's all takes to make you leave. Then here you go, I was her regular customer at a dinner and she was a waitress. Are you happy with the answer? Now, leave?"

My heart started beating faster and I started sweating. Veronica knows that's not true.

" Wow, amazing. Is that all you can think of, Madison? The lie isn't good enough. But Xander believed it." She laughed at my silly lie.

" What is she telling, Madison? I know she hates you since you are being close to me. But it feels like you both already know each other. Do you?" Xander directed a question to me. I stood there, feeling not sure what to say.

" We already know each other. But that's not important. What you need to know is you already known her in the past. You have known her for many years. You are not her regular customer at all. She lied to you. All this time." Veronica said, taking something from her bag.

" Is she messing with my mind or whatever she's saying is true, Madison? Tell me she's the one lying." Xander asked, desperately waiting for a yes.

I can't lie anymore.

" Iam sorry, Xander," I said, controlling myself to not cry.

" I can't believe this. I love you, Madison. Why did you lie to me? What was the lie? And what was the truth?" Xander spoke as I shattered all his trust. I don't have an option.

" It seems like you already believed me. But I guess some proof might work," She took two photos and gave them to Xander. I looked at it as he was seeing it for the first time. It's the photo when the first dare happened in school, the next photo is when someone took a picture of me and Xander when we were in Henry's house.

" I hope you will get all answers from Madison," Veronica left the room as Xander turned to me looking for answers. She ruined everything.
