Harvey York's Rise to Power

Without a second thought, Kartier Failes' eyes burned brightly.

He held his rage back as he raised his glass while giving looks to the people around him.

"This is the first tMs. Journi's ever had a boyfriend!

"This means that Harvey's our prince!

"Come! Let's have a toast for the prince!

"We're not leaving this place till we get drunk!"

The others did not understand why Kartier had such a huge change in attitude, but they all followed suit and had

a toast with Harvey anyway.

Harvey showed a calm gaze without saying a word. Journi went to Harvey's side while smiling faintly.

"Looks like it won't be easy being my boyfriend..." she said while leaning beside Harvey's ear.

"I'm sure they'll get you drunk enough so they can make a fool out of you..."

Harvey looked at the woman beside him, who was showing an odd smile.

Journi's face turned bright red.

"Quick! Drink with this man already! I want to see if my boyfriend can hold his liquor!"

Kartier and the others were pumped with adrenaline, fully prepared to force Harvey to drink.

Since Harvey had no excuse not to drink, he had no choice but to follow suit while he bitterly chuckled.

That said, a thought cto Harvey's mind.

Was getting him drunk the only plan these people had...?

A few hours later, the sky was pitch-black.

Harvey's head swayed around when he headed into the suite arranged for him.

After drinking with Kartier and the others, the alcohol was finally starting to get to him.

Then again, it would not be enough to make him drunk either.

After their last drink, Kartier and the others started calling him their brother.

Harvey did not overthink the situation.

Beep!

Harvey unlocked the door with a keycard when his eyes lit up slightly. He could smell a faint fragrance wafting

inside the room.

The fragrance was similar to what Journi wore but with a slight difference.

Harvey squinted inside the room when the curtains were all drawn, and the lights were off. Only a faint flicker of

candle flcould be seen then.

A woman was lying on the bed in her nightgown.

Harvey curled his lips before quietly setting his phone in the corner of the ceiling while recording in night mode.

Harvey tried to reach out to the light switch after that.

But before he could, the woman on the bed smiled when she spoke up.

"That's not very fun, Harvey.

"There's no suspense with the lights on, you know?"

Harvey frowned before his eyelids started to weigh down on him.

"Who are you? Why are you in my room....?" he asked quietly.

'Who am I? I'm your temporary girlfriend-Journi!"

The woman seemed a little sly.

"It's only normal that I cto see you, right?’
