Chapter 1158

Chapter 1158 There and Then

The general workers exchanged glances in hesitation.

They wanted to help, but Miriam might rip them a new one.

The general workers had not crossed paths with Miriam before, and they did not know her that well. However, they concluded from the earlier incident that Miriam was a petty and ridiculous woman.

For all they knew, Miriam might go after them later.

Just then, the air pulsed with the thrum of car engines.

It sounded like many cars pulled up outside Victoria International Hospital.

"Please give way."

Several middle-aged people weaved through the crowd in a hurry to get inside.

A group of lanyard-wearing employees with work IDs trailed behind them.

"That's Morgan Wesley, chief of the Health Commission, Leon Lard, the chief of the F&D Administration, Alanna Maser, head of the Commerce Administration. Oh, he's from the Tax Office."

Miriam grimaced as the group approached.

She recognized the faces in leadership roles. They were the department heads from various government branches.

There were seven departments altogether.

Miriam knew Kaze told Noah to summon these people. They were not here for a friendly chat, that was for sure. Since she knew who they were, Miriam asked sternly. "Mr. Wesley, Mr. Lard, what's the meaning of this?"Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Miriam was familiar with them because of the hospital's relationship with these two departments.

However, Morgan and Leon did not even look at her. They led their colleagues to Kaze.

To everybody's surprise, the group approached Kaze hunched over.

"We are at your service, Mr. Lee."

Morgan and Leon had met Kaze before while the other department heads were meeting him for the first time.

Aware of Kaze's identity, the group was respectful to Kaze.

Miriam looked at Kaze with a scowl. She wondered who the bastard was.

Kaze gestured for the group to straighten their backs and said, "A few of you can transport the patients to the entrance of the hospital."

Without Morgan and the other leaders saying the word, the staff members went up and helped the family members with pushing the beds.

"Thank you, Mr. Lee."

Will's wife and other family members expressed their gratitude to Kaze.

They realized now that Kaze was no ordinary man.

It simply took a phone call to get the department heads to the hospital. These leaders also approached Kaze with respect.

If it was not for Kaze, the family members would not even make it out of the hospital.

Kaze waved his arm and said with a smile, "Take them to the orthopedics now. Focus on their recovery."

The families thanked him once more before leaving with Will and his team.

Kaze then faced Morgan and the other department heads and said, "I called you here to start work right here, right now.

*Based on my observations, Victoria International Hospital has a huge problem. You should launch an

investigation in your region of expertise and authority.

*I want all issues, whether a cover-up in the past or a finding today, to be addressed here, today."

Miriam pulled a long face.

She drew close and said angrily, "Are you deliberately disrupting the hospital operation, Lee? I'm going to file a complaint with the mayor's office!

*Mr. Wesley, Mr. Lard, you are leaders. You shouldn't be aiding him to bring down the hospital."

Miriam unleashed a tirade on Morgan and the rest after a go at Kaze.
