Chapter 1063
Chapter 1063 A Strong Asset “Moses has been around the scene for quite some time, and he has worked in the network for many years. He is pretty reputable in the city. Do you want to see him?” Caleb asked with respect.
“The director of Lilyrose TV Station?” Without looking up, Kaze replied, “He can enter.” Soon, a middle-aged man with a balding spot cautiously followed Caleb into the office.
“Mr. Mayor, this is Mr. McKentucky from Lilyrose TV Station,” Caleb said.
Moses realized the new mayor was
exactly as rumored when he laid eyes on Kaze.
The mayor was younger than he imagined.
“Hello, Mr. Mayor. Just call me Moses,” Moses said while drawing close with a nod. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Kaze greeted back aloofly and asked, “Caleb said you are briefing me on a business report. Is it related to the award for exemplary journalism?” “Huh?” Though taken aback, Moses quickly replied, “That’s right, Mr. Mayor.
Sherry Zauer is the candidate we chose to represent Lilyrose TV Station. She’s the host of the financial channel.
“After your instruction yesterday, we started an internal investigation on
her.” Kaze asked indifferently, “Oh? And what did you find out?” Moses stole a glance at Kaze, but he could not read his expression.

Furrowing his brows, Kaze glanced at Moses and said pensively, “So Sherry must be a strong asset.” Moses was filled with glee, thinking his praises did the work.
“Mr. Mayor, Sherry has come with me to the mayor’s office.
“If you're interested, she can come in and give you an update on the business report.” Prior to meeting Kaze, Moses got a text message from Sherry that she had arrived.
Kaze grinned amusedly.
He got up, grabbed his mug, and walked to the water dispenser. Without looking back, Kaze replied, “Okay. She can enter.” “I'll head out to bring her in now.” Pleased, Moses went out to lead her into the office.
Moses soon returned with Sherry, dressed in professional and well-fitted attire, behind him.
Sherry was beyond excited.
The mayor was highly fascinated by her.
Moses mentioned that the mayor actively asked about her.
In that case, Sherry was likely to become the mayor’s secretary.
Kaze and Darcy would no longer be a threat once she secured a position in the mayor’s office.
This was because the mayor would stand behind her.
“Here is Sherry, Mr. Mayor,” Moses said with a chuckle.
“I see.” Kaze sipped his drink and turned around.
The voice sounded familiar to Sherry.
Sherry was suspicious, but before she could wrap her head around the voice, she lifted her head and flashed a sophisticated smile.
“Hello there, Mr. Mayor... Huh?”
The smile on Sherry’s face froze. I
