My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being CHAPTER 852
Drake collapsed onto the sofa, convulsing. It felt like he was floating on clouds, the near- suffocating pleasure overwhelming him.
Kale called out, “Boss, hold on.”
But Drake was completely oblivious to the outside world, lost in a dream–like state.
Outside the house, Marion’s face remained cold. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
His guard asked, “Sir, are we just going to let this go?”
“Burn this place down,” Marion ordered.
“But…” the guard hesitated.
Marion shot him a cold glance, and he quickly complied, setting the plan in motion.
Within moments, the newly built mansion was doused in gasoline.
Marion lit a cigarette and tossed the burning end into the courtyard. A fire broke out in an instant.
“What if Drake dies in the fire? Sir, he knows the truth about the car accident.”
“Don’t underestimate him. He won’t die, but he’ll suffer.”
Marion watched the towering flames, regretting not killing Drake back then, which had. allowed Drake to target Debra and work against him.
At dawn, Debra finally woke up. After the initial disorientation, she remembered the events of the previous night.
“Oh no!” she groaned, throwing off the covers and preparing to get out of the room.
A maid entered with breakfast and stopped her “Ms. Frazier, you must rest here.”
“Where’s Marion?” Debra asked anxiously, afraid that Marion had gone to confront Drake.
That would lead to chaos in Seamar City.
Just then, Andrew’s voice came from outside. “Don’t worry. He’s safe at home.”
Debra sighed in relief, but Andrew’s next words made her anxious again.
“He burned down Drake’s house last night and stayed by your side for the rest of the night. An hour ago, he locked himself in the lab and hasn’t come out.”
Debra was shocked by the news.
Andrew continued, “It‘
at the end of the hallway on the third floor. Go check on him: I’m
worried he’s gone mad.”
Debra rushed out, despite her weakened state. She steadied herself against the wall and made her way to the third floor.
At the end of the hallway, she found a door labeled “Lab“. She pushed it open and saw Marion wearing a protective mask and gas mask, working with chemicals.
His voice came from behind the mask. “Get out.”
“It’s me,” Debra managed weakly.
Marion paused, and she added, “What’s wrong? You stayed by my side for so long, and now that I’m awake, you hide in here?”
