I get out and follow Gunner. We’re going over the back of the wall when we get the signal. I have the rocket launcher thrown over my shoulder and ready. I have too many daggers and Shuriken’s and I have to admit, I admire Gunners collection.
We’re going over first, we are used to fighting close up, so we’re better at doing the job unnoticed. Others will be following but they will stay back until we attack the main house.
We wait at the wall, and I hear our phones giving the signal. Moving, we jump over the wall. We start at the back of the house, staying in the trees to keep ourselves hidden. I watch as Gunner jumps on the back of a man. He shoves something in his mouth to silence him before he can make a nose, the dagger swiping across his neck.
I begin making my way forward, and we keep watching each other. I aim to take down more than him, as
I move towards my sixth guy and grab him Gunner does as well, and we begin a tug of war. I see someone stab him, spinning I turn.
“Stop fucking about! Good fucking job I came to babysit isn’t it!” Bear looks at us and we laugh. He’s a big fucker, and normally I would happily fight someone his size, but not today. I shrug my shoulders and release the guy. He’s dead anyway.
We continue moving around the front of our house and I hear a scream,

my eyes looking up, I got to rush forward and feel someone grab me. I fight against him, that was Daisy screaming!
“Seriously, Demitri, you can’t go fucking running. We’ve nearly cleared outside out, she’s alive, you know that.” I fight against Bear’s grasp, and watch as Gunner kills the last men, I need to get in. I could break out of his hold but it would mean stabbing the fucker and I know that will piss off both sides.
“Oi.” I look up at Gunner and smile.
“Blow some shit up.” I look at the house and consider giving him the rocket launcher, but honestly, when will I ever get another chance? I push Bear off me
“I’m fine!” I will be, I need to be. I feel him release me and I grab it, walking to the front door I aim for the wall. I fire it and watch the wall explode the ground shaking and I laugh. I refil it and do it again at another side. Gunner slips through the door and I follow, as we walk through I throw the Shruiken’s watching as the people fall.
I admire his work, it’s not often I see someone like me work. He moves and effortlessly slices and dices people, daggers sticking out of bodies as he jumps around. Each new kill he calls out the number to me and I know I’m behind. I’m losing. I begin moving faster hearing everyone rushing in and guns going off.

“You fucker!” He roars and leaps for him, standing I laugh as he swears, and screams about promising Emmi no fucker would get hurt. The poor guy has no chance of surviving.
“D!” I spin and look at Calix as he stands with Dante.
“You and Gunner want to play, fine, play after. Focus on Daisy!” He screams at me pissed off. I get distracted easily. Too easily, turning I walk up the stairs, running I duck behind a sofa as everyone fights. I pop my head out and throw daggers and Sheriken’s at targets ensuring that those with guns fall first.
We were told orange door, that’s were Daisy was. We continue moving together, and I spot Marcello moving through the crowds and fighting with his bare hands. Shaking my head I continue moving, getting to the orange door, I kick it, and we rush in. We span out and search but theres no one. The room only has that one door.
I turn hearing her scream, and Zane stops me. What is it with the Wolversons and stopping me?
“Think, you go running without checking rooms you’re getting hit.” He” s right. “Think of Daisy, Demitri, how pissed off she will be to learn. you ran for her after hearing her scream just to get yourself killed.”
Grumbling I push him out the way and continue to make my way through the hall, each room getting cleared as we do.

“Found her!” I rush towards Dante’s voice, no one quick enough to stop me. Rushing into the room, I see him cover her. She’s naked, I glance. around and see another door.
“She’s hurt, get her sorted. We will finish clearing out upstairs.” Dante walks off with the others and I pick her up, she’s bleeding. Placing her on the bed I remove the rope from around her wrists and ankles, her eyes open and she smiles at me.
Shes covered in blood, cuts, and bruises. I need to check her, I watch as Calix and Marcello rush in to our side.
“Where does it hurt?” Calix looks at her. She needs rest.
“My side, and my leg. The fucker stabbed me.” My eyes widen and Calix moves, carefully removing the drape from her body and when he goes I go white. Not because of the stab wounds, or the cuts or bruises. but shes covered in their release.
I will kill them all, literally cut off every one of their cocks and present them to her as a present to know they got what they deserve. I feel sickened and repulsed seeing their release over her, it’s like they did it to show us what they achieved to do.

“We’re all going back to the Wolverson’s, then we will figure out what next from there.” Marcello moves to pick up Daisy and I push him out of the way.
“D, if you’re carrying her fine, but watch what you fucking say. You said you were repulsed, if she had heard.”
“I didn’t mean by her.” I shake my head.
“Okay, but are you sure you’re okay with it? Carrying her knowing that?” Calix looks at me and I can see Dante standing by the door with the others waiting.
“I’m fine.” I pick her up and hold her against me. I would never refuse. to touch her because of this, later, when she can I will wash her. I hold her against me, my mind replaying the two screams I had heard, showing me images I don’t want to see. My body shakes and I feel
someone tap me.
“You keep blacking out D, we were calling you to follow.” Calix looks

“I’m fine.” I walk forward and follow them out, Dante looking at me worried. He walks with Calix speaking to him.
“I think D will be going out with whoever, rather than staying with Daisy.” I hear Calix and I go to argue but Dante speaks.
“Calix, no. If there is one thing I learn from Gunner, trying to split them when one is hurt doesn’t go well. It’s late. I have over thirty men at the borders, no one is escaping. So maybe we get back, let everyone sleep, or recharge then go out at first light?”
I won’t be leaving Daisy, not until she is awake. I block out their words not wanting to hear them discussing me.
