I wake in Eros‘ arms, still cautious over everything, as I have no idea who did it. Part of me thinks Olivia, but then again, Miss. Long on the front desk hated me as well.

To be honest, most women hate me once they know what I do for work. It’s like they see me as this pornstar who is going to fuck every guy she sees regardless of his relationships.

We’re not like that, or most of us aren’t anyway. I would never sleep with a guy who is even in a relationship, let alone engaged or married. The exception is at work. Many of the men at work are happily married, but their wives know what they do.

“You’re obsessing,” Eros says, and I feel his fingers slide into my hair, grasping it. He tips my head back, forcing me to look at him. He leans forward and pulls my lip free from between my teeth.

I chew my lip a lot when I overthink, when I’m anxious, hell, sometimes when I’m angry, and I have no one to shout at, my lip is the subject of my abuse.

“I need to get ready and go to work,” I explain as I go to move, and his hands stop me. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

“You need to tell me if he is actually doing what he did with me

but with other men,” he says and focuses on my eyes. Elon has. This week, two guys paid to have a video made of them and me.

Each time, they were perfectly hidden, more fool them I say. Something tells me Elon will use the unedited version as a way to gain extra cash. After all, they were married.

Despite my warnings, though, they refused to listen and argued that they had it in a contract that none of the unedited footage would be found or used.

Still, I don’t want to tell Eros that, not because I’m ashamed, but because I feel like he will do something crazy again through jealousy, like buying me. It does mean, though, that by the end of the week, I can buy Clara out and give her enough money for a few months so she can get a decent job–a safe job.

“Alexis, has he done it?” Eros looks at me.

“No, usual work only,” I reply, and slide out of bed, I get ready while he does, and before I can make a run for the elevator to escape, his hand grips mine.

“You’re eating. Have breakfast with me, please.” He stands waiting.

“Okay, but then I need to leave and meet Clara,” I explain. I’m not happy I left her yesterday. Sure, she only had one shot left, but I’m not happy I wasn’t there.

“Come on then,” he says as he guides me to the elevator, and I glance at him in confusion.

“I’ve got a small restaurant downstairs,” he explains, then stops. “Grab your bag and things, actually. Then it saves you coming up after eating.” He steps out of the lift, and I grab my things.

Opening the bag, I look through it, and his eyes roll. I don’t care if he thinks I’m crazy, I will be checking everytime from now on. Satisfied that nothing is hidden in the bag, I step into the lift with him.

We get out on another floor, and see a lot of people sitting eating breakfast. I glance at him.

“Lower two floors are hotel rooms, along with that, anyone who works for me comes here for breakfast before work,” he explains while shrugging.

“Mr Pierce, I will show you to a table,” the woman smiles and leads us through. We sit down, and silence surrounds us–at least our silence, not the chatter of others talking in the room.

“I get that you’re going to feel uncomfortable going forward. I apologise, and I wish I could do something to help,” he says.

“You said someone Saw me putting the necklace in my bag. Who?” Task.

“A security guỳ, turns out he didn’t see it himself, he heard some of the staff mention it, those staff said they heard someone else. So, I’ve no idea who began the rumour. Unfortunately, the cameras weren’t on in my apartment, so I can’t see who physically put it there.”

Exactly my worry, he has people up and down all the time, how do I know tomorrow he won’t find something else missing and them use me as the reason.

“I’m trying, Eros, but the fact people come and go so freely worries me. I’ve nothing to protect myself from them, you say there is cameras now, which is great. But what about the rest?” Someone went in my bag. That in itself is worrying.

“I’m not going to allow it going forward. I’m changing the code in the lift so no one can come to my floor without my approval first. I’ll be having a meeting later today with staff and explaining that going forward, if there are any work things, they wait for me to go down, and that will keep looking into it to try and find out who did it,” he explains. Gripping my chin, he looks

at me.

“I realised you won’t feel safe or comfortable if people can just walk in and do things, even with cameras, so I am sorting it,” he leans forward and kisses.

“Thank you,” I smile at him.

“No, thank you for agreeing to let me at least have a chance to

sweep you off your feet,” he says while smiling.

“Mr Pierce, there is an issue with the contract for one of today’s meetings.” Olivia stands with her back to me and faces him. His eyes stay on mine as he keeps a tight hold on my chin.

“It can wait half an hour, Olivia. I’m busy, and I already told your to stop interrupting me with nonsense when I’m doing. something personal.” His words are loud, and she stands for a moment before rushing off.

“She likes you,” I say, and he stares at me, shocked, before laughing.

“No, Olivia has worked here since she was sixteen as an intern. She advanced quickly, is smart as hell and became my personal assistant within a couple of years,” he explains as he smiles at

1. me.

“Right, but that doesn’t take away from the fact she likes you, Eros; in case you haven’t noticed, whenever we’re together, she has an excuse to try and stop it,” I explain.

“No, she’s just committed to her work,” he laughs slightly. He is so damn blind, or maybe too trusting? The fact he doesn’t realise says he is too trusting.

“What are your plans for later?” he asks. I don’t have any. Well, not yet. I’m not entirely sure what Elon’s plans for me are.

“Nothing yet. What are your ideas?” I ask.

“Well, I wanted to take a trip. We would be back tomorrow.” He looks at me and waits. I nod and smile at him; I’m happy to go away for the night.

“Mr Pierce.” Olivia appears again.

His head snaps to her, and he frowns.

“I’m sorry for interrupting again, but Mr Richardson has agreed to discuss things, but you have to go to him. He’s waiting for an answer,” she looks at him and waits.

Eros looks from her to me. “We will rearrange tonight. Is that okay?” he asks, and I nod. He turns back to Olivia. “Tell him I will fly out this evening after I have finished with my meetings.”

I guess I no longer have plans for tonight.

“Why don’t you join me? I could be there for up to three days, however,” Eros looks at me.

“I wish I could, but I’ve been booked into work. Next time, yes?” He nods and smiles at me. His eyes go to Olivia.

“Why are you still standing here?” He looks at her, annoyed. She

nods and rushes off. How is he so blind? I push the thoughts away and spend the next fifteen minutes talking to him before leaving.

There’s a chance I will see him tomorrow. Th
